SEABOURN OVATION NEAR PERFECT

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

By Glyn May The waiter, sensing that our patience was wearing thin, dropped a bowl of hot chips (fries) and a bottle of tomato sauce at our table. “Chef’s compliments”, he said, “ dinner is going to be a bit late”. Classy cruising. Not. Two days earlier, a crewmember carrying a sharp-edged tray had accidentally slashed my wife’s arm badly when he bumped into her in the breakfast queue. ...

HKG/SIN - 7 days is too short for this ship!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This 7 night cruise was our 4th time aboard Mary, and our 5th week in terms of days. We were keen to see the changes made during the refit last year as we had spent 16 nights on her just prior (BNE/HKG) Boarding at HKG was great, we were in the 4th group called and were on board by 1pm and by 2pm we had squared all our clothes away and were enjoying the complementary sparkling wine on our ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Arcadia

We hadn't cruised before but the idea of the Asia cruise with a tour of the Golden Triangle really appealed to us. We weren't disappointed with any part of the holiday, we saw so many places we would probably never visit on a holiday, Vietnam in particular. The Arcadia was a lovely ship, not too big, we had always dreaded being on a huge "block of flats" type ship and this was ...

Amazing Far East

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We visited Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China, places I've always wanted to see. Although each visit was only a 'snapshot' of the country, visiting by cruise ship (same bed, company and comfort each night!) was ideal. The sights of Hong Kong, the wonderful toilets, and escalators (up hills) in Nagasaki, the Buddhist temples and beauty of Korea, the 'foreignness' and fascination of ...

Blown away by this Cruise, staff, ports, and all....

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

Having read a few negative reports on Millie before we left, I was amazed at how just wonderful this ship is. I guess if you get 2k+ guests on board not everybody will be happy. I was shocked to be stood next to one lady who was quite rude to the staff, insisting her plate be wiped dry, and replaced with one without a small chip. This is to a member of staff who cannot do enough to make us happy. ...

My husband and I booked this cruise les than two months in advance, as it fit with our schedule and the itinerary looked interesting to us - our first trip to Asia, this would provide us with a good introduction. I had read some online reviews, which seemed to be all over the board, so my expectations were not too high. We were fortunate to have been staying in a suite, which does provide for so ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

I read an article in Conde Nast magazine by an editor who had taken this tour in March 2015; she recommended it highly, so I decided to try it. I had never been to any of the countries/ports on the itinerary: Philippines, Borneo, Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia. Included in my Seabourn package was private transfer from the airport in Hong Kong to the Eaton Hotel for a breakfast buffet and a ...

Journey of a Lifetime. My Bucket List Cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Nautica

My wife & I had been looking for a cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and the journey of Oceania's Nautica from Hong Kong to Athens immediately captured our fancy. It included so many of the destinations we had dreamed of visiting but thought we could never afford. Among the places we had wanted to visit during our lives were Petra, Cairo & the Pyramids, the Upper Nile Valley and the ...
