A most enjoyable trip

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

This is our 6th cruise with Azamara and we were somewhat concerned at how things would be on board after suffering through the booking process on the new, badly implemented and frankly appalling booking system. First impressions are that the ship is looking a little tired with some areas needing a spruce up but overall these issues are not major. Officers and crew are, as usual, outstanding ...

Wonderful itinerary, great staff

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We wanted to escape our winter weather, and this was a desired return visit to a prior war zone for one of us. We also wanted to try a Celebrity cruise, to compare it to the others we have done. Embarkation was chaotic, and we were initially herded to the wrong line, for people not needing Vietnam visas. Our cabin had a good sized veranda, and an average sized room. We were dismayed to ...

Enjoyable cruise but some issues

Review for a Asia Cruise on Silver Whisper

Chose this cruise for the itinerary from Hong Kong to Bangkok via cities and remote islands in the Philippines, a brief call in Malaysian Borneo, and two nights in Ho Chi Minh City - fascinating to visit rapidly developing countries under different political systems. We enjoyed most of the included excursions but underestimated the sapping effect of the heat and humidity. For our convenience, we ...

We enjoyed our 14 cruise to Se Asia on the Silver Whisper. This was our 2nd cruise with Silver Sea . The ship is a bit tires and showing it’s 21+ years in service. We loved the itinerary Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and finishing in Thailand. The staff on board were excellent , especially our cruise director Moss. We never had to ask for anything ; there was always someone there to ...

All good but for the air conditioning

We chose this ship mainly because of the itinerary. The cabin was designed well and of reasonable size with a walk in closet and a balcony. The food in all restaurants was superb varied and with reasonable wine offerings. The excursions were as advertised and well managed. The smaller number of passengers made the general feeling of very few passengers on board and lots of room on excursions. The ...

My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity: + Stunning ship, well thought through with loads of areas to explore, read a book, and relax. We did two back-to-back cruises (for a total of 28 days) and never felt ship claustrophobia + Service-oriented crew that consistently showed how a simple smile can make a day + Little to no up charge pressure. Everything ...

Not having cruised to the extent of some others, we have previously sailed with Silverseas and Oceania and so do have something to compare with. Firstly, the good: Embarking in Hong Kong it was really nice to have our luggage already in our cabin by the time we got there, which was less than 15 minutes from kerbside drop-off! The cabin was very spacious ( V5 grade ) with the benefit of a ...

An interesting onboard experience

We cruised on the Spectrum on three consecutive itineraries: January 2, 9 and 14, 2020. Boarding in Hong Kong was well organized. Each subsequent voyage was well orchestrated for back to back passengers. We would leave and return to the ship through the crew line so we didn’t have to line up with the boarding passengers. Each voyage was different due to the numbers of non-mainland Chinese ...

Fantastic Silver Junior Suite

We had cabin 7238, Silver Junior Suite. It was beautiful, the ship is only six months old so our cabin was rather immaculate. Bathroom with full size bath, sink plus separate walk in shower. Opposite was a separate toilet and full size sink. One large double wardrobe plus another stand alone wardrobe with hanging space plus drawers. Lots of storage space. We had unused hangers and empty drawers, ...
