Chose this cruise as my husband wanted to take me to the Far East. The millennium was ok a little dated but catered for our needs. We chose this for the destination ports. This was our first trip with Celebrity but not our first cruise. The logistical arrangements were virtually flawless. Flights, transfers, pre and post cruise hotels very good, shore excursions mostly excellent, staff and officers on board very good and the entertainment was varied and impressive (mostly).

The Celebrity Millenium itself was fine we were in Aqua class with Premium liquor and Premium dining packages - well worth it, as the finer restaurants were very good. Buffets were good for breakfasts, otherwise very buffetlike! Entertainment on board was very good. We were on the 14 day Hong Kong to Singapore trip, with stops in Vietnam and Thailand. We wanted to see Asia and this seemed a good way of having a taste of Vietnam and Thailand.
The ship was good, food was fine though not outstanding. The service was excellent, I couldn't fault a single member of staff.
The captain did an admirable job keeping us safe from Typhoon Damrey that caused so much damage in Vietnam. It altered our schedule but we didn't miss any ports.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We explored our departure and ariival cities on our own. We used some of the ship's excursions and also those provided by Abercrombie & Kent.
The ship definitely needs to be refurbished - it's old and tired looking. The gym, spa and beauty parlor also needs to be modernized.
