Chose this trip due to places to visit, had experience before on other Celebrity vessel, was very disastrous indeed. Gave second change, but invane the company has got no expectations, no whow factor, no one on board seem to be excited to serve guest, breakfast very shambolic, coffee at buffet always cold, charged a fortune on service charge and gratuities which I declined to pay!! At each port, ...

Our very first cruise was on the Millennium back in 2006. We loved everything about it and became fans of Celebrity Cruises, recommending them to our friends and travelling with the company several times. Our most recent cruises have been with Princess and P&O. We enjoyed these very much but looked forward to coming back to Celebrity and the lovely Millennium. Oh dear - we were in for a big ...

The cruise was suggested by a friend as a great way to see Asia.. The ship is very old and there were many examples of torn fabric on chairs, the handrails were worn, some of the out side steps were near collapse, there were areas of rust everywhere, floors were uneven, people locked up seats around the pool by putting their towels on chairs very early in the morning, ... Generally this ship ...

We are a 3 star Mariner with Holland America working towards our 4 star. We go away every winter and liked the itinerary of this cruise. We were on for a total of 42 days. We like to listen to the piano and violin entertainment with a martini before dinner. Adagio, Andreea and Alexandru were fantastic. The food on this ship has slipped. The worst French Onion soup I have ever had. The ...

Have cruised NCL several times before with few problems. Wanted to see Australia and New Zealand. The ship lost one of its two engines in early December. NCL never informed us of this. I found out from on line reviews. It continued to sail on one engine. Our Jan 16 cruise had two ports dropped. NCL hoped to fix it in Singapore on Jan 22. They say they fixed it. Some 32 hours later, a ...

Disappointing Golden Anniversary Cruise

We joined the ship in Hong Kong having selected this cruise as a special holiday to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. We had already been advised that two ports of call were cancelled because of an Azipod engine problem. When coming back on board we at Bali we were told that three more stops were cancelled due to ongoing problems. The initial compensation offer was pathetic but was ...

NCL sails a broken ship until it finally died

We planned this cruise for over a year. We saved so we could afford it and enjoy seeing the Far East side of the World and we booked back to back cruises to continue on the ship for the Australia/New Zealand cruise. We have sailed with Norwegian for more than 25 years and have never been so disappointed with any cruise line as we were with the responses received from NCL regarding the problems ...

We chose this cruise for the new and exciting ports of call on the original itinerary. However, in Dec 2016, the NCL Star had one engine problem forcing them to drop Ho Chi Min City and Bangkok from the itinerary. We only found out about this by reading Cruise Critic This occurred after final payment and NCL would not give us a full refund to cancel the cruise, they only offered a $200 onboard ...

Great ports of call

We chose this cruise because we had heard the company were very good but the ship disappointed. The places we visited were on the whole were great but the ship let it down. The hotel accommodation before and after the ship were very good indeed but again the ship let us down. The cabin I would say was average but the concierge service was very good. Service at the bars was not very good with wine ...
