The Jewel is Destroying the Norwegian Brand

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

In 2016, we enjoyed our earlier cruise with NCL Star for 21 days in a Suite and had absolutely no issues. This is what enticed us to take another cruise with Norwegian. This cruise with Jewel was only for 11 days from March 21 to April 1, 2018. The best part of the cruise is the fact that our Mini-Suite was kept immaculately tidy by our steward. The whole ship always looked tidy. Unfortunately, ...

Great cruise, slightly let down by a few issues

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary (China & Japan were top of our list). Unfortunately, the itinerary changed several times before our departure, which took some of the shine off it (particularly the loss of an overnight stop at Beijing, which left us with very little time in between travelling from and to the port where the ship was docked), and the removal of a stop in South Korea ...

We saw the advertisement for the cruise from Hong Kong to Tokyo via China in the weekend Australian newspaper. The service staff, in the cabins and restaurants, were particularly impressive. Genuine friendliness and welcoming. Extremely helpful and obliging - no request was too much or too problematic to carry out. The entertainment in the theatre was of a very high standard - each evening's ...

Pick the finest hotel and place it on a boat. You are welcomed and within a day the entire crew addresses you by name. Clean, outstanding food choices, wonderful products and towels, outstanding crew and the facilities are beyond first class. There is so much to do on a "sea day." You can relax or stay as busy as you desire. Everything is included so that you do not need to worry about extra ...

Our overall impression of the Silver Whisper was amazing. The services were excellent. We had a wonderful butler and maid. The attention to every detail made us feel very special. The food was amazing and all our waiters were quite efficient as well as entertaining. The ports were places we never dreamed of seeing and experiencing. We would definitely recommend the Silver Seas. The only ...

Disappointing Weather Beleaguered Odyssey to the China Seas

Disappointing Weather Beleaguered Odyssey to the China Seas This was out tenth cruise with Celebrity plus a further three more with the RCCL Group, and overall, this was by far our worst cruise experience yet. It is difficult to pinpoint precisely why we came away so disappointed but there was something distinctly odd about this cruise. We are relatively experience travellers and fully ...

Exciting itinerary, just barely average cruise experience

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and based on past experience with Celebrity. We (2 adults and a 10-year old plus other family memebers) spent most of a week before embarkation exploring parts of mainland China as well as Hong Kong. Embarkation and disembarkation were both smooth and efficient despite Celebrity having warned just a week before departure that disembarkation would ...

Embarkation was very fast. The porter accepted our luggage and all the luggage was delivered to the cabin without any delays. Aqua Class Cabin was on Deck 11 AFT. Aqua Class has it own dining room and some additional perks. There is Concierge for Aqua Class. The Blu Dining room has a limited menu and the portions are smaller than the regular dining room. The Internet connection was very ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, which was exactly as expected. It is an older ship and could use some work. It was kept very clean. Unfortunately we had one bad sea day and 2 fog delays which made for boring days on the ship which didn't have much going on during those days. The embarkation was fast and easy. The cabin was tight and ordinary with just enough space. The conceriege class, as we ...
