I'd avoid Holland America line if you are not an old age/white person. You will be ignored at bars, restaurants, will be seated at undesirable seats and get bad service if you do not fit their expected profile above. Took us 45 minutes to get a glass of wine. I am incredibly disappointed with HAL. I have traveled multiple times with this line and was always delighted.

This was my 5th time on this ship. 3 times on the LRBC chartered cruise, once with my elderly MIL and this time with a friend.

Just returned last Sunday (NOV. 20th) from Caribbean cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam on 14 days of the worst HAL cruise that we ever experienced.
