The expected changes due to the pandemic were the requirement to wear a mask any time or place outside your stateroom. There were temperature checks available and PCR testing was done at least twice during the cruise. This was my 15th or 16th cruise and 2nd on HAL. Flying into Venice was amazing, It was like a picture coming to life. The ship picked up a group from the airport and loaded us on to a bus and took us to the ship. Embarkation was very easy! We love this ship. We did the Panama Canal on this ship in November and booked the same room for this trip (Venice to Barcelona).
In between trips, they did a dry dock and destroyed the Crow's Nest! On the Panama trip, the Crow's Nest was THE place to be, especially for Happy Hour. Now, it is just a coffee bar, and the Shore Excursion staff have taken over most of the space. What a waste ...
