This ship needs an overhaul. Inconsistent service, poor maintenance. Zero health protocols. Other than the Rolling Stone Lounge, entertainment was very poor. After more than 100 nights on HAL, this was by far worst cruise. It seemed that everyone on board was sick and no one was enforcing hand sanitizing or encouraging masks if sick. We wanted something different and sailing on The Koningsdam certainly filled the bill.
From joining the ship in Vancouver, to disembarking there the following week, we had the most relaxing but fun filled time

The food and service were exceptional in the Lido market, the scenery was magnificent, seeing whales and sea otters magical, and there were places to find early in the morning to be alone and take photos of the sunrise. The ship is beautiful but when you first board onto the ship it's very new to everyone. Your welcomed into restaurants that have the fees and expenses and your not advised. They ask for cards and not tell you that the restaurants have additional prices. Things can add up very fast when you're unaware if it's on your package or not.
