This was our 10th cruise and 2nd with HAL and we couldn't have been happier. Originally we were going to take a cruise departing out of Victoria BC, however due to govt regulations (US), we had to switch all the money we had already paid (almost 8k) to a shorter 7day Alaskan cruise. They transferred it all no problem and there were no fees! We got an upgraded stateroom and the have it all package among a few other options.

Some of the pluses:
The ship was in very good shape for its age and didn't generally feel overcrowded.

This is a great cruise out of Seattle. If you fly into Seattle the same day that the cruise departs Seattle, Holland American will transfer your luggage to the ship. If you stay at a hotel the night before the ship leaves Seattle, the same service is provided. Boarding and off boarding the ship was very easy and pleasant.
