The thing that topped off and overall bad cruise was a bogus charge of $70.21 for the use of our mini bar which we did not use. We attempted to have this charge reversed via our credit card company but HAL responded saying the the mini bar was not included in our drink package. Convenience was the reason for this cruise., sailing out of down town Seattle.Check in involved 4 check points, sometimes repeating what was previously done. It took our group nearly 4 hours to check in & board!

To be fair the Holland America Alaskan Cruise trip was very nice. However, the process and the people you had to deal with to start the cruise were prohibitively painful.. I contracted COVID in June 2022 on the Koningsdam incurring $4000 of expenses that Holland America promised to reimburse in writing and they did not fulfill their commitment.
