We arrived in Ft Lauderdale after driving about 3 hours across the state from SW Gulf coast of Florida. Check in was smooth and easy we were a bit late from delayed flight so we checked in around 2:00PM and it was not that busy.

They did get the guy away from food. I was told they sent him to the infirmary. I was stunned they had let him handle food. He did wash his hands after blowing his nose & sneezed into his elbow. I left and found someone immediately to alert them they had a sick person handling the food. They did let me know they handled it..

Usually I love Holland America but Koningsdam isn't up to the normal HL standards. There is no library, the promenade deck has blocked views and no where to sit. The casino and the back deck are exclusively for smokers (as you can not breath if your a non-smoker in either of these two venues. Food in the MDR was never hot, mostly lukewarm.
