Canada and New England on Eurodam

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Eurodam

This was our first Holland America cruise. It was very good but we were left thinking that our previous cruises with Celebrity were just a little bit better overall. Having read previous reviews on the Canada & New England cruise, I have little to add except to say that the ports of call are the definite highlight of this cruise. A few things I noted that might not be in previous ...

A Great Two Weeks!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Eurodam

From beginning to end, a fantastic two weeks. Embarkation: Smooth and seamless, took less than ten minutes from getting to the pier to dropping my bags in my cabin. Cabin: Excellent and just what I had picked out. My cabin stewards were great and I did not want for anything the whole cruise. Infirmary: I had to see the doctor due to a case of tonsillitis, but it was quick, easy and the ...

Fall Colors - Did Not Disappoint

This was my first time sailing on the Eurodam, and the first HAL ship in this size category. At 2,100 passengers, I was a bit concerned about how crowded things might be. I arrived late Saturday evening, so missed the mass hysteria that is usually embarkation day. I breezed through the process and was on board and in my cabin in a matter of less than 10 minutes. My cabin was a balcony on the ...

Nice cruise but expected better from HAL

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Eurodam

Based on previous sailings with same size HAL ships, I was really looking forward to an above average cruise. What we got was very ordinary. The ship is nice but has very subdued colour scheme and furnishings which are relaxing, but not exactly energising. In conjunction with very traditional ways of doing things, like calling out cabin numbers on deck for muster, repetitive menus and obvious ...

What is better than traveling?

This was our 9th cruise with HAL and it never ceases to amaze me the criticisms I read. Not sure what everyone's expectations are, but for us a vacation is for relaxation, learning, experiencing and meeting new people: recharging the batteries. And cruises are great value in terms of putting together food, travel, hotel, entertainment etc. These last five or six cruises we have booked a Neptune ...

Great weather and fantastic fall foliage

I'm a bit late with this review but here goes. I'd planned this trip for a long time but was concerned that I might miss the best of the fall colors. I needn't have worried. Fall was late, we had beautiful sunny weather and the colors were wonderful. I stayed for three nights in Quebec City before the cruise. It's such a beautiful city and I would recommend spending one or two days there ...

It may have been just as applicable to title this review "The Great Race to Florida" or "Retirement Home at Sea". We embarked on October 6th in Quebec City for the 10 day cruise to Fort Lauderdale. The ship traveled at 20 - 22 knots on average and it felt at times like we were in a hurry to get to FL. Our fellow passengers were very pleasant and some of the nicest people we have cruised with so ...

My husband and I took the Canada & New England cruise on the Eurodam on Oct. 6, sailing from Quebec City. We flew in 2 days earlier so we could stay in Quebec City before the cruise and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel right outside of the walls of the old city. I can't say enough about this fine hotel and staff. The room was great and the breakfast buffet wonderful. I'd go back in a ...

Holland America Eurodam - Canada/New England

Took the 10 day HA Eurodam from Quebec City, up the St. Lawrence River and down the east coast ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Loved Quebec City...first visit...spent two days exploring...highly recommend. Boarded Eurodam about 2:30p.m. with no significant wait, went directly to our cabin, met our cabin steward and off we went to explore. We have a couple of acquaintances that did not like the layout of ...

My wife and I(late 60s, early 70s)took our first cruise with Holland America, 9/16/2010. We found the Eurodam to be very attractive, clean and well designed ship. Also, the entertainment facilities, restaurant areas and lounges to be very pleasant and accommodating. Our stateroom was well taken care of by our steward. Our stateroom was directly below the Lido deck where diners could sit and eat ...
