This was our 9th cruise with HAL and it never ceases to amaze me the criticisms I read. Not sure what everyone's expectations are, but for us a vacation is for relaxation, learning, experiencing and meeting new people: recharging the batteries. And cruises are great value in terms of putting together food, travel, hotel, entertainment etc. These last five or six cruises we have booked a Neptune ...

Took the 10 day HA Eurodam from Quebec City, up the St. Lawrence River and down the east coast ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Loved Quebec City...first visit...spent two days exploring...highly recommend. Boarded Eurodam about 2:30p.m. with no significant wait, went directly to our cabin, met our cabin steward and off we went to explore. We have a couple of acquaintances that did not like the layout of ...

My wife and I(late 60s, early 70s)took our first cruise with Holland America, 9/16/2010. We found the Eurodam to be very attractive, clean and well designed ship. Also, the entertainment facilities, restaurant areas and lounges to be very pleasant and accommodating. Our stateroom was well taken care of by our steward. Our stateroom was directly below the Lido deck where diners could sit and eat ...

We went on the 10-day Colors of Canada and New England Cruise. It left Quebec City on Sept. 6th and docked in Manhattan on Sept. 16. The Eurodam's maiden voyage was in July 2008, and I noticed that some of the early reviews complained about the service. They have solved whatever problems they may have had: we found the service to be superb. This was true of our room stewards, the Concierge in ...

Best Dam Ship Afloat

This was the first time the Eurodam had left this port, and as most of the bad parts of the review will be about this issue, I will get it out of the way up front. Unorganized. The BEST thing about the ship is that it is NEW, still has that new ship smell in most areas. The WORST thing about the ship is that it is NEW. There is much that is still unorganized and leads to confusion and frustration ...

Canada/New England Cruise - Eurodam - 9-11 to 9-22-08Pre-cruise:  We flew to Quebec via Newark with no problems.  The flight from Newark to Quebec was on a smaller, commuter jet and my larger carry-on had to be "gate-checked".  I had another small bag with my book and other things I wanted on the flight so that was not an inconvenience to me.  Once arriving in Quebec, we went through immigration ...
