Had this been the first HAL ship we ever sailed on we would never choose HAL again! To start with the first 3 days of the cruise the toilets in our cabin as well as the toilets in many of the public areas were not working! It took that long for the crew to fix the problem! I have cruised on Holland American ships in the past so I had high expectations for the Panama Canal cruise. I was very disappointed. Lets start at the beginning: the embarkation was flawless with the exception that you had to walk up a lot of stairs if you weren't lucky enough to get an elevator within a decent time frame.
