Super cruise

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Koningsdam

This was a fabulous cruise. The ship was clean, comfortable and most importantly the food was outstanding! The staff were all helpful and friendly and no matter how stressed they were happy ( and sometimes singing)! It was about 5 days out and 5 days back strictly at sea. We found it relaxing but not seeing land or another ship that entire time could be somewhat daunting. The life boats were state ...

We loved our first Pinnacle class ship cruise.

My wife and I are 3 stars with HAL and we booked this cruise earlier this year as short nice vacation by ourselves. We booked an aft facing veranda on deck 6 with Club Orange added and the standard HIA. This is our first cruise on a Pinnacle class ship. We flew from our home in San Antonio to San Diego on Nov 3rd and spent the night at the Embassy Suites on the bay very close to the cruise port ...

20 Days on the Eurodam

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Eurodam

We chose this cruise since it was billed as a Big Game Cruise with a Slot Tournament. We didn't book for the Itinerary as we'd been to most of these places before. We booked at a casino rate in an Oceanview cabin. Since we had a room with no balcony we decided to rent a cabana in the Retreat so we could be outside when we wanted to be in our own area. This turned out to be wonderful. Two weeks ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Zaandam

This is long overdue! We’ve been on 3 cruises in 12 months and have used cruise critic for so much information. I decided it was time to jump in and give back! The three ships we’ve sailed on in the past year were Holland Americas Zaandam, Seaborne Oddessy, and Oceania Vista. We sailed on the Zaandam with a group of 8 people, family and friends. We wanted the iconic experience of going through ...

Wonderful Time Through Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Zaandam

This was a 14 day Panama Canal journey from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale. Zaandam is a smaller ship and doesn't have a lot of "bells and whistles" but has a lot to offer. Passengers were on the older side and only 14 or so children on board. Staff and crew were excellent. Never a long wait for a drink or to get something from the Lido buffet. Pools and hot tubs were never really very ...

Excellent Cruise

Intro: We booked about 2 months prior to departure, which was a little late. All the suites were gone and the choice of shore excursions was limited, several of the ones we wanted were sold out. We had a Veranda stateroom on the 10th floor forward. Ideally you would want to be mid-ship and not too high up for less “motion”. Still, the stateroom was very nice, with lots of storage space and a ...

We are catching up on cruises, and this was our third HAL in 2022. We have never cruised to this part of Mexico. We enjoyed this trip very much. Embarkation was super-easy. Our assigned time was 11:30. The Uber took us to luggage dropoff. The only documents we were asked for were boarding pass and passport. We were sitting in the Lido by 12:30. The ship is spotless, very ...

Second time on Koningsdam - Good Cruise

Just off the Koningsdam Mexican Riviera cruise 12/10/22 to 12/17/22. Great time and cruise. Of course there are always some pluses and minuses, but overall it was good! Love cruising out of San Diego! As we live here it is so convenient not to have to fly anywhere. I wish more cruising options were available. For a bit of perspective of my review - this was our 2nd time on the Koningsdam ...

I am currently on the Koningsdam, its Thanksgiving day and here is my review. I’ve never cruised Holland America before. Mostly I’m a loyal Royal Caribbean fan. I’m travelling solo this time after three years not leaving the island where I live and I was ready to cruise again. I chose Holland America because they sail out of San Diego, the closet port to my home in Hawaii. I wanted an older ...

We had actually booked a HAL Caribbean cruise in Feb, which we had to cancel, and we switched to the Classic California coast, as we live fairly close to San Diego, and we could drive to the port. This was our first HAL cruise, we weren't certain what to expect, but we wanted to try the line. I was attracted by the Music Walk concept, since I play instruments and love music. Our expectations ...
