After spending 2 weeks inScotland visiting friends, my husband and I rented a car and drove down to Dover, England to embark our cruise. The 8 hour drive went very smootly and when we returned our car they even drove us to the ship. Embarcation was a breeze and we were on The Eurodam and eating lunch by 11:30. After a great luch we were anxious to explore the ship. When you cruise alot and ...

First: I´m Swedish, excuse me for bad english. Second: I´m a rather experienced traveller in many parts of the world. But this was only my second cruise of this kind of ship. The first was 7 days in Mediterranean on RCCL "Splendour of the Seas" (SoS. And below I compare a bit to that cruise. The Itinerary was the only reason we choosed this cruise. (We had first the idea of going the 7-days with ...

We returned on September 10, 2011 from a 17-day transatlantic cruise on the Eurodam that started in Dover, England on August 24 and ended in Manhattan with stops in Amsterdam, Zeebrugge (Belgium), Dublin, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, St. Johns (Newfoundland), and Halifax. The itinerary was spectacular. What attracted us was the nice mix of ports and at-sea days and the mix of ...

Holland America Eurodam Baltic Cruise - August, 2011

My name is Patricia Blackstock, and I'm from Myrtle Beach, SC. My sister-in-law, Paula Snider, lives in Ft. Worth, TX. Paula called me back in the winter to ask if Russia was still on my bucket list, and if so, how about a cruise to the Baltic countries! Paula had been on a Holland America ship in the past, and her recommendation was enough for me to agree to this trip. She already had a ...

I was reading other peoples' reviews when we planning our cruise and it was very helpful. My husband and I did the Eurodam Baltic cruise last July. Though I am not a frequent internet user and it took me some time to write this review, I would still like to share my experience with others as my cruising forerunners did. We liked the ship. It was our first cruising experience so we had nothing ...

We have been on 4 cruises, including Disney and Princess. This first cruise with Holland America was to the northern Europe-Baltic region. We enjoyed our Baltic cruise very much. Food was great--lots of choices for family, some like steak/beef, others like fish. Best food was in the Pinnacle Grill--well worth the extra $20 per person for very good service, wonderfully ...

Fantastic Cruise to the Northern Baltics

A few friends and I sailed at the end of June into July on the Eurodam to the Northern Baltics. What a fantastic cruise. Not only was the ship beautiful, but the customer service was beyond what I had experienced on any other cruise. We flew into Heathrow on an overnight flight. The only glitch in the whole cruise was the staff meeting us at the airport to bus us to Dover. ...

Cruising The Baltic

This was our 12th cruise and our third on HAL.The Eurodam is a crisp new ship and makes HALs Vista class ships look a little shopworn. We chose a Deluxe Veranda for this cruise because of the length and the amenities. Having free dry cleaning and laundry makes packing for two weeks a lot easier. Suite guests also get to have breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill in the morning which is a very ...

We are admittedly HAL fans having cruised on several other lines and found them lacking. But this review, really, is about cruising in a deluxe veranda suite. The room category can affect one's attitude and experience of a cruise. But most often the reviews are written about standard rooms or veranda rooms. When planning our cruises neither my wife nor I remember reading reviews these last few ...

Just a quick ship review of our 12 day cruise to St Petersburg on the 6/15/11 sailing of the Eurodam. Our second time on the Eurodam, fifth time with HAL, also cruised Carnival, Crystal, Princes, and RCCL. The cabin comfort (booked an SA category suite), dining, and entertainment were once again fantastic. Service from the cabin stewards and the suite concierge was excellent. Dining room ...
