I would recommend you pick a different ship and even a different cruise line completely. It is really that bad. The worse of the worst? The food. The overall food quality and selection is poor. - The ship is fairly new and well appointed.
- The service staff are very friendly and try very hard.
- Food quality is good.

- The Lido kept some really strange hours - for example closing for diner at 8:30 pm which one would expect is peak time

There was limited entertainment to other cruises I was on. Shortly before the departure I checked the ship's website to find out about the ship's entertainment and saw there were live music concerts at the "Lincoln" stage as well as BBC Nature Programs. Beware of this ship!!! My cruise began with a huge stain on the couch in our stateroom. I also got food poisoning and as a result I was unable to go on the tour we had scheduled for the next day. The food in the Lido and Dutch Cafe was lovely and the service was swift and friendly. However my 6pm pre-booking for Tamarind meant almost an hour's wait at the bar (I do not drink & was travelling alone) because they had obviously overbooked the first sitting!

If you’re use to higher end hotels and resorts like JW Marriott, Hyatt, or Hilton where personal services are king this cruise line is NOT for you.

We chose this transatlantic cruise and this ship because we wanted transportation to Europe, did NOT want to visit a lot of ports, wanted to relax at sea prior to a heavy sightseeing itinerary once we arrived, and for the entertainment and food advertised.
