The whole week the food was cold 95% of the time, fries cold like they just came out of the fridge, no options for food allergies or representatives did not understand, advertised room service but no one answered. It is our first Holland America cruise. We knew it is more for mature passengers but we didn't care as we just wanted to try the Mexico Riviera cruise and the timing was right. We embarked from Vancouver and our check-in was a breeze.

We have done a number of cruises with Holland America and always enjoy them. embarkation was smooth. Cabin crew were very good as was food. One of the staff in Tamarind remembered up from a cruise in 2017 which surprised and pleased us. Did not care for a couple of entertainers but not a big issue. Holland America Eurodam, Sept 29, 2018, 18-day Circle Hawaii cruise, Seattle to Vancouver, BC
Embarkation was very quick, easy, smooth. Luggage arrived quickly enough.
Disembarkation was the same, but then we just walked off the ship with our luggage to a taxi.

Lincoln Center Stage - fantastic program!! Might sail HAL again just for that one aspect!

We enjoyed everything on this cruise. The food was wonderful. We often ordered full room dinner service in our cabin and also breakfast where you can order omelets. The food was very enjoyable and served hot. The hospitality service would always check up to make sure your room service order was perfect.

We Choose HAL because it seemed a little more refined and not like a floating hotel. I wanted to travel on the Queen Mary for the luxe experience , however that ship didn't seem to travel to the destinations that we wanted. Happy that we choose HAL.
