My brother, sister and I (plus spouses) chose this cruise as a family get together. The ports of call seemed more interesting than some of the other 7 day Caribbean cruises and the timing/price was right for all of us. All in all it was a good choice.

We had little time to get away, and this trip met the time restraints. We left from Ft. Lauderdale. Check in was easy and quick.

Chose cruise primarily because of departure port and dates of sailing. (Over NY Eve).

1. The signature suite!
2. Stewards very friendly--everyone always said hello.
3. Ship was redone a year ago--so spaces are nicely kept up. Very clean!

From the time we boarded there was courtesy, assistance and helpfulness. We choose this cruise for its itinerary and went as a large group of friends and couples. Everyone observed the ship's poor condition; filthy deck chairs, worn-out brown carpeting, rusting rails, stains on every cushion, it was just plain disgusting down to the hairs we found in our dining napkins.

I have always liked Holland America. This was our seventh cruise. I feel they offer good value.
The new ship is beautiful. Our cabin was lovely , but not well designed for a small suite. There was a large dressing area with a desk and a built in Murphy bed, but in the sleeping area, there was a bed and a chaise lounge. One could only view the television sitting in bed.
