We based our decision to cruise Holland after sailing with the line 2 times in the past and being extremely happy with exceptional service. I have cruised HA 15 times. Love the line. We took this cruise and extended another 14 days to travel to Egypt, Turkey, Greece etc. so we were on the ship a total of 25 days. This was my first Holland America cruise, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll start with the positives though.
The food was good quality, and they offered some of the best options on the buffet, compared to other lines. I did enjoy dessert at the pizza place, however, the pizza itself was not good.
