We chose this cruise because we wanted to sample Asia and picked Holland America as this was the most extensive itinerary. Unfortunately we did not believe we would be sacrificing the quality of our holiday. The cabin was not clean. No remote control for the TV. DVD player not working. For many passengers this was a cruise from hell. The following are most of the problems I was told by fellow passengers-- lots of problems-flooded rooms, pipes breaking, toilets overflowing or not working, water leaking from ceiling in dining room, lower promenade deck even number cabin side with bad smells, air conditioning not working.

As other cruisers have put it, this ship should have stayed in drydock. The information published on the internet about the refurbishment indicated some great changes that would certainly enhance the cruise. Coupled with our previous HAL experiences, we had high expectations. Unfortunately the information was inaccurate and, to be frank, this ship is a piece of junk.
