To be honest this was our first cruise. We chose hal because of its past reputation with Alaska cruises. Let me say right away, Alaska and Glacier Bay were outstanding. if you ever get a chance to visit Glacier Bay you must do it. It rates up there with Banff. However use another cruise line.

The thing that topped off and overall bad cruise was a bogus charge of $70.21 for the use of our mini bar which we did not use. We attempted to have this charge reversed via our credit card company but HAL responded saying the the mini bar was not included in our drink package. To be fair the Holland America Alaskan Cruise trip was very nice. However, the process and the people you had to deal with to start the cruise were prohibitively painful..
