I chose this cruise because it was leaving from Seattle and going to Glacier Bay National Park. It had a full day of cruising on my birthday.

Port of Seattle made it easy for the family. Good way to experience Alaska. Teen rooms were great for the teens (not 13 or 18 though).
Lots of food choices and activities. Wish they had more yoga activities and smell in dining room was a bit strong.

To be fair we chose HAL for this trip simply because of the small travel window we had available and a last minute decision they were the only line that would work. I don't think this is probably a compatible line for our travel type.
Stateroom - wonderful. Almost the only inside cabin on that deck but no one on either side of us. So quiet, comfy bed and larger than expected.

We were excited to be boarding the Holland America Zaandam for our recent Alaska cruise Our assigned stateroom was a category H partially obstructed view cabin close to the outdoors on the lower promenade deck… the next best thing to having a veranda stateroom.
