Just got back from a Canaries cruise aboard the Independence of the seas.Accomodation was fine and overall appearence was good.Biggest let down was the evening meal in the main dining hall.Food was bland and limited, lacking any sort of imagination especially for a cruise line.The service in the dining room was dreadful again when comparing with other cruise companies.On my eleven night cruise my ...

Embarkation was about as welcoming as a Qantas desk on a bad air day. No-one to greet you on boarding, or to take you to your cabin. We found our own way. Cabin itself seemed rather cramped, even though it was "Superior". Furnishings were fine, though drawer space inadequate - not one drawer big enough to take a folded shirt.
