A Glorious Hawaiian Paradise....O'Ahu Explorer Cruisetour, 11 Days

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

We chose this amazing land and sea experience to be sure we were able to enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer. We stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki, and then boarded the cruise ship to sail to four more destinations. We felt we were able to visit it all with expert tour guides who knew just what to see and when to see it. The Hyatt Regency is a beautiful four star hotel downtown ...

Chose this cruise because we wanted to explore the Hawaiian Islands. The food was amazing - the main buffet breakfast , lunch and dinner amazing! Once the main buffet closed a little buffet above the pool would open serving hotdogs, burgers etc. the chef made fresh cookies everyday which were AMAZING!!! Hot warm soft and delicious. Brian from the Cadillac diner was our favourite server. On ...

Just finished this cruise, and I can echo much of what has been said by others. Two of the biggest things that stood out to me were the quality of the food and the service. Neither were good, with very few exceptions. Some bartenders / servers were better than others, but it was a rarity to get really good service with a smile. Many of the servers seemed indifferent to you ... and bar ...

Disappointed

Let me say that this was not what I expected after all the money I spent to have a relaxing time. First, let me say that there should be a disclaimer to let people know that this line caters to senior citizens. I’m not knocking the elderly at all but less then 5% of the guest on this ship was under 50 years of age. For me and my opinion it was a nursing home at sea. Let me put it this way, the ...

I have always wanted to see the Islands, my daughter passed in December and her heritage is fraternal side is Hawaiian. The cruise started off at LA port we were with the wheelchairs as my sister has had 2 back surgery's and Knee replacement also can not feel her legs so anytime up slants is dangerous for her. While waiting were informed most people didn't need this help only used to get at front ...

Embarkation was easy. Ship is nice and easy to get around. We had a balcony room and it was comfortable and suited our needs. We were on Port side and would have spent more time on balcony if we had been on starboard side. That being said, we did not spend much time in room. If you are a drinker, get the drink package. Best bartenders are Emma at back of ship and Mark at the pool bar. Many of the ...

This cruise is a great cruise for all people who wish to see the Hawaiian Islands and never have to unpack but once. We selected a moderate sized suite and were pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities this cabin was provided. The SL cabin had a tub and a shower and a large closet and dressing area. The bath was very large for a cruise ship and the lounge area and outside deck was large ...

Poor, Poor Presentation

Never, Never, Never use Norwegian unless you want poor service and sub-standard food. PS. We have cruised: NCL, Royal, Holland, Celebrity, MSC, Viking, and Princess in the past 20 years. Checkin is horrible; 1.5 hrs on two lines. First was security, and then checkin, where we had to do the exact same things we did online. Food = substandard, with Buffet food looking good but tasting weird. ...

I choose this cruise because of my 87 year old aunt, someone in her age group told her that they like Princess and that’s the one they use. There were issues from the time we made it to embarkment, it was a disaster the lines were wrapped around and issues with having enough porters to handle the luggage. Once aboard the ship, the steward assigned to our room introduced herself and I explained to ...

We chose this cruise because we were planning to fly to Hawaii and stay in Lahaina at a hotel or an Airbnb.Instead we found this cruise at a very reasonable price and decided to do two things, going back to Hawaii again, and doing it at a cost less than previously planned.Pluse we really enjoy the cruise expierence. We had several problems from start to finish, however i will say that the ship was ...
