Fantastic way to see Hawaii

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

Summary: FANTASTIC cruise and I would do this itinerary again in a heartbeat, but don't expect this to be a relaxing vacation. About our group: 4 females celebrating a 50th birthday for one of us. After reading some reviews, my expectations for the ship itself were low but I was pleasantly surprised to find it in really good shape- carpets don't appear worn, toilets all flushed fine (not ...

Here's a positive one for NCL Hawaii

Okay, we finished our cruise a couple of weeks ago, but I promised myself I would write one up after reading all of the others, especially the negative ones. My wife and I are not experienced cruisers, with the last one being approx 25 years ago. But, one of our sons is stationed on Oahu, so we figured that after seeing the grandkids for a week, a cruise would be a great way to experience the rest ...

Baseless Trepidation

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Crown Princess

Greetings from aboard the Crown Princess! We are on a 16-day cruise to Hawaii, RT San Francisco. I boarded the ship with great trepidation. The Cruise Critic comments about the ship and the itinerary caused me to think that perhaps we'd made a grave error in booking this cruise. However, that angst was put to rest the first day. While more traditional (vs. glitzy) in appearance, the ship ...

Wonderful Cruise!

This 35 day Hawaii/French Polynesia cruise was our longest ever and our 19th cruise overall on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, NCL, Princess and Royal Caribbean). We flew from Ontario to San Diego 3 days before the cruise and stayed at the Old Town Inn which was a great location to tour the city. We walked to historic Old Town and took the trolly tour to all the popular ...

Another great voyage on Seabourn, but….

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We joined the Sojourn in LA and disembarked in Taipei at the end of the second segment of the World Cruise 72 days later. Our last trip on the Sojourn had been the last two segments of the 2023 World Cruise from the Seychelles to Barcelona, and we now have about 200 days with Seabourn. We rated the 2023 voyage overall a 9.5/10. This years we would rate an 8.5+ to 9/10, still excellent. Why lower? ...

No longer sails past Na'Pali coast.

This cruise did not and does not sail past the Na'Pali coast. NCL does not make this widely known and most of their agents will tell you it still does. You are in port in Kauai until 5:30 pm. This was the only major disappointment, except for the NCL app, which was useless. I don't recommend even trying to use this, as you will most likely incur extra internet charges unless you are an IT ...

Great service made it a great cruise!

This was my first cruise with NCL. I was impressed. The highlight of the cruise was my daily interaction with the fantastic bar staff at the John Adams Bar. Cymone, Jennifer, Sam, et al could not have been friendlier. My buddy and I started every day at the JA Bar, and the service was consistently excellent. The dining options were very good as well. The buffets were stocked with a ...

Great cruise despite the weather!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

My husband and I enjoyed our cruise on the Spirit. We embarked in Honolulu with minimum wait times. It was less than 30 minutes from the time we were dropped off at the dock until we were sitting on the ship. The Hawaiian islands were beautiful. We toured the Waikiki Aquarium and ate at Duke's the day before we got on the ship in Honolulu. We walked around town by the cruise port in Kauai and ...

Beautiful ship and wonderful venue!

After reading the bad reviews for this ship, I was very pleasantly surprised. Many of the reviews pointed out that there was a sewer smell. I have a sensitive nose and did not smell anything unpleasant, either in our cabin nor in any other part of the ship. Pride of America is a beautiful ship and is in wonderful shape. We had a balcony cabin on deck 7 and it was great. It was small, but certainly ...
