Chose this cruise for the Havana Stay and that didn’t disappoint but MSC Opera did!
The ship looks good, clean and well kept public areas. Our cabin was ocean view fantastica experience, cabin was small but had plenty of storage space, bed was comfortable (still not sure fantastica means.)
Dining - breakfast in dining room and in buffet both poor - cold eggs, cold bacon and the same ...
Not really impressed with MSC Opera, so I would not recommend it to any of my friends.
“Anytime Dining” means 8.30pm – any other time seemed to be an inconvenience (fortunately we were not assigned to one of the two sittings for evening meals – 15 minutes late and you are turned away).
Average staff member was good, but the more senior ones have the poorest customer facing skills. Best avoid ...
We cruised with this company on the MSC Armonia in September this year. Although we had noted some bad reviews about this ship, we decided to give it the benefit of doubt and have a go. WELL WHERE DO WE START.
Embarkation – An absolute farce. We arrived at the port at 3:30pm after a night stay in a local hotel. We were told to leave our cases at port side but would not be allowed to board the ...
Not even 3 stars level, fraud with shore excursion, German description of the beverage package completely wrong, old and for passenger number clearly too small ship
(German version below / Deutsche Version weiter unten)
The ship
The MSC Armonia is comparatively old. The ship was built in 2001 for Festival Cruises as MS European Vision and was taken over by MSC after Festival’s ...
We chose MSC because of the chance to visit Havana for two days. We actually had one full day as MSC left early on the Monday. Beware as they allow smoking around the pool. MSC cater's to the Europeans as very little English is spoken, For the Sunday show you had to pay extra to attend. This should be included in your cost.
On a positive the food was awesome. Always hot, always available. When ...
Like many people we chose the MSC Armonia for its Cuba and Central America Itinerary which no one else offered particularly as on the the 14 night cruise you had over 4 full days in Havana. We read the cruise critics reviews but thought it could not be as bad as some of the reviews that had been posted BUT IN FACT IT WAS WORSE. We would recommend any one who has cruised with the likes of P & O, ...
We choose this cruise because of its itinerary and the lenght of stay in Havana.
Firstly they give you very little information, but has we have done cruise before we soon found out things. The daily news letters arrived after 8.pm so we did not know what was happening till late the night before
The clientelle is mainly Italians, Spanish, German and the entertainment is mainly around ...
Previous experience with MSC Opera were excellent. The combination of ship and destination (Cuba) was the trigger to book for this cruise. What a major disappointment!! The upside were the cabins, but the rest was really a disaster. The staff - with exceptions -was not motivated and sometimes rude. The food was in general average (we - wife and I - are still suffering from a parasite and are on ...
Our previous 2 cruises, with Cunard and Princess were a dream so with destination the most important for our choice we booked though an agent and eventually made it on board a MSC ship.
Eventually I might add is because our private transfer wasn't at Havana airport to pick us up, but with an MSC representative collecting a bus load, I thought they might help. But we weren't on his list so he ...
I would never book another cruise with this company ever again.
Due to the recent hurricane, our flight got cancelled and we were stranded at Charles De Gaulle airport with little or no information for nearly a full day.
MSC were extremely unprofessional in dealing with the hundred or so passengers that were supposed to be flying out on 9th September 2017.
We eventually joined the ship in ...
