We are a family of 3 which includes my wife and I and our 15 year old daughter. We chose to cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas on a 7 Night Western Carribean itinerary, so we could vacation with friends who were already booked. As a total group, on the cruise, we totated 5 adults and 5 teenagers from 12 - 17. We have cruised twice before but with two different cruise lines and two different destinations, so everything on this cruise was going to be new to us. We decided to start our vacation by arriving early in the day preceding the cruise so we could enjoy a day exploring Orlando. We flew Southwest Airlines and opted for the early bird check-in option. Unless money was tight we will probably use early bird check-in again as it simplifies things and got us a better boarding assignment to ensure we were near the front of the plane and sitting together. As an additional note Southwest boards families with children under six between the A and B groups. We found that as these families wanted to sit together and the A group had randomly occupied the first half of the plane, the families seemed to congregate in the back half of the plane as a result. We arrived in Orlando with an embarrassing amount of luggage for a family of 3 and rented a car from National directly at the airport. If I had been more experienced I would have been able to skip the counter and just pick a car and finish the checkout at the garage exit. Very quick and easy car rental experience overall. We arrived well before noon at the “Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando - International Drive” and they were able to check us in immediately so we could drop off our luggage and start exploring. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and well situated to explore the more popular attractions in Orlando. We opted to do some shopping and eating at Disney Springs. We ate at the Earl of Sandwich was which was tasty and economical especially considering Disney’s usually inflated food prices. (As a side note, I managed to get a pretty good cut on my lip from the bread which was an odd experience.) We then drove directly to Universal City Walk to see Blue Man Group and paid way too much for parking. Blue Man Group was great but if you have seen them in the past 10 years be aware they haven’t changed the show at all. We probably won’t go again until they change the show. We then proceeded to finish out the night at “Andretti Indoor Karting & Games”. Andretti was a blast! We stayed until about 11pm before we had to give up due to exhaustion. They have three different indoor go-kart tracks for varying ages and abilities. They also have video games, a ropes course, a bowling area, and a bar. We would definitely like to spend more time there as everyone in our family had a blast there. After collapsing and sleeping fairly well we decided to eat breakfast at the hotel which was included with the room. It was standard hotel fair and quite acceptable to all of us as it included hot foods such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc… We checked out very quickly and proceeded directly to the highway which was very close to the hotel but unheard from our room. The drive to Port Canaveral was about 45 minutes and uneventful. As a side note if you are renting a car and driving around I recommend a “Visitor Toll Pass” from the Central Florida Expressway Authority. It's a small placard you can hang from your mirror that will charge all your tolls directly to your linked credit card without all the fees the rental companies like to saddle you with. It was very easy to reserve online and pick up at a booth near the rental car counters. We simply dropped it off at the same booth when we returned to the booth when we flew home. I dropped off the family and our embarrassing amount of luggage at the terminal and went to drop off the car. I picked National because they have a location within the port and very close to the terminal. I was back with my family in under 15 minutes. The embarkation process was super quick and easy. We arrived at the port at approximately 10:35 and were onboard with drinks in hand at 11:15. Fwiw, we did have a Jr. Suite which allowed us to embark on a little quicker but our friends had a regular oceanview and actually beat us onboard as they made it to port a about 10 minutes sooner than us. It really doesn’t seem that the different embarkation perk levels make any difference that early in the morning. The short version of our cruise experience is that we loved it. We stayed in a Jr. Suite and booked two Royal Carribean and two private excursions. We ate at speciality restaurants 4 nights and never tried the main dining room for dinner. We saw three shows and tried quite a few onboard activities. We would definitely be open to cruising on Royal Carribean again but we weren’t blown away enough to forsake other cruise lines in the future. And now the longer version… We originally booked a Large Ocean View stateroom using a travel agent at AAA. AAA provides some nice perks in a free speciality restaurant dinner for 2, a free speciality restaurant lunch for 2, a bottle of champagne, and priority boarding. Technically the only perk we ended up using was the free speciality restaurant dinner. We price matched several times and managed to drop about $900 off our cruise price. We got an email offer to bid on a room upgrade through Royal Caribbean about 3 months before our sailing date. I bid $550 on an upgrade to the Jr. Suite which was only $50 more than the bare minimum and considered a “poor” bid. About 2 months prior to sailing our bid was accepted, my credit card was charged, and our new room was assigned, all in one email on a monday morning. We ended up getting a slanted balcony on deck 8. This room was excellent and I would happily take the floor and the slanted balcony in the future without reservation. The slanted balcony ended up offering a great view forward without leaning out over the railing. And deck 8 was perfect if you plan on eating dinner at the speciality restaurants as several of them are off Central Park which is on the same level. Deck 5 and deck 6 are the Promenade and the Boardwalk so are easily walking distance when the elevators are packed (which was often). The room itself was spacious and had a pullman bed and pull out bed. My daughter spent the whole week in the pullman and seemed fairly comfortable as she was only complaining about my snoring and not the bed. The walk-in closet was great and the bigger bathroom was very nice. The bathtub/shower is only partially enclosed, which was weird and led to wet floors after a shower. There were at least 4 AC outlets and 2 USB outlets in the room which was plenty for us. There is no clothesline but we brought plenty of magnetic hooks and used those to hang wet bathing suits without any problems. We had a standard room attendant (not a genie) who was easily the best room attendant we have ever had. (Fwiw his name is Iwayan and he is from Indonesia.) I wouldn’t have booked the room at its initial cost of $2000 more than our original room, but now that I’ve experienced it I will probably book it again in the future. As for the food… For a little background, we're more Outback / Olive Garden level diners in the real world as opposed to Ruth Chris Steakhouse types. We ended up eating at speciality restaurants 4 nights and Johnny Rockets for lunch one day. In general the food quality was much better than the other venues and quite enjoyable overall. We dined at Wonderland on embarkation day and got a table with a great view overlooking the boardwalk area at night. While Wonderland was as much an experience as a meal, for us it was very slow between courses and the food was weird. While it was enjoyable and filling it was not an experience we would choose to repeat. 150 Park and Jamie’s Italian had excellent food and faster serving times, though it was still a bit slow for us. Chops was excellent all around and would happily dine there again. We ended up eating at Johnny Rockets with two of our friends and everybody seemed to enjoy the food quite a bit. My wife thought the burgers were a bit greasy but that was the only negative comment in the group. The rest of our meals were primarily from the Windjammer with a few visits to the Solarium. The Windjammer was OK though quite noisy and crowded. We preferred the Solarium overall but the selection was more limited than the Windjammer. In the future we would probably skip the specialty dining entirely and concentrate on scheduled dining in the main dining room. As a side note, our friends tried on multiple nights to get seated as a group of seven in the main dining room for anytime dining. They were not allowed to make reservations at all and when they showed up for standby seating the were turned away. It made such a poor impression I doubt they will sail with Royal Caribbean again. For the ports we visited Coco Cay, Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel. At Coco Cay our group bought waterpark passes and had a good time. I tried snorkeling over by Chill Island but didn’t see anything worth mentioning. I think the waterpark tickets were overpriced but I’d probably buy them again. In Costa Maya my daughter and I booked a two tank dive directly with Doctor Dive, and in Roatan we booked a two tank dive with Sun Divers. Both experiences were excellent and priced reasonably. I would easily book with either again but if I had to choose a favorite I would take Sun Divers again over Doctor Dive. Sun Divers provided the transportation and they had an excellent bar next door to hang out in while waiting for a ride back. (If you go say hi to Leslie the Irish ex-pat bartender and don’t forget to get a lap dance from bar security.) I would also say the reef was more vibrant in Roatan. My wife chose to shop with friends in both ports. Costa Maya had a better port but the shops were very redundant. Roatan is currently working on expanding their port but for some reason they liked the limited shopping there better. For Cozumel we decided to go to Xcaret via an excursion offered by Royal Caribbean. Xcaret was great but we really needed more time there. The travel in each direction was about 2 hours and included a very bumpy ferry ride and bus ride. We had a relatively calm day on the ferry crossing but they still needed to hand out quite a few vomit bags. After all the travel was done we were left with a little under 5 hours at Xcaret. We got back to the ship late which left no time to shop in port at all. Overall, I’m glad we went, but I wouldn’t repeat it or necessarily recommend it to others. Onboard ship we saw three shows and tried the escape room. We enjoyed the shows and would probably book them again on a future cruise. The escape room was enjoyable but I probably wouldn’t repeat it unless they changed the puzzle. Members of our group also tried the slides, mini-golf, zipline, pools, and carousel and seemed to enjoy them. The self serve ice cream machine was a big hit with everybody. We didn’t do any shopping on board and the few watches I was interested in were cheaper on Amazon. We got the internet package for 2 devices and it worked well but I didn’t personally use it much. We also got the deluxe beverage package and got our value out of it without too much effort. For disembarkation we chose to use the luggage valet service and self disembark at 7am. Luggage valet was $25 per person and well worth the price. We tagged our 6 checked bags the night before and had them in the hallway by 10pm. We didn’t see them again until we got them at the airport when we got home the next day. We got off the ship just after 7am, picked up our rental car at National, and arrived at Orlando International by 8:15am. Dropping off the car at National was very quick and since our boarding passes were pre-printed by Royal Caribbean we were through security and at the gate by 9am. While we got there very quickly from the ship I would still never book a flight before 1pm or so. If you are unlucky enough to get a coast guard inspection it can delay everyone’s disembarkation by hours. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would happily do it again. On our next cruise… We will buy the deluxe beverage package. We won’t buy the dining package. We will book private excursions as long as they are close to the ship. We will get a scheduled time to dine in the main dining room. We will use the luggage valet service and probably use Southwest earlybird check in. We will probably book at least a Jr. Suite, having the elbow room and closet was worth it. We will always fly in the day before the cruise to reduce stress levels. Read Less

This was our family's third cruise. We have kids ages 7 and 8 that came with us and thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. Previously, we cruised on an older Carnival ship (Ecstasy) and Disney Magic. We loved Disney for the food, larger staterooms, and Disney activities/characters. Our cruise on Harmony was full but it never felt too crowded. We were sure to book all of our shows at 90 days beforehand and got all the times we wanted. The shows were wonderful. Our favorites were the aqua shows and ventriloquist. The sports staff were amazing and we tried nearly all the sports...zipline, boogie boarding, miniature golf, rock climbing, slides, and others. The main dining room was mostly excellent. Service was great, no complaints there. We usually finished within 1.5 hrs which was perfect for our kids as they cannot sit longer than that. We enjoyed almost every dish we had. The sides were usually repetitive but were good. We only did the Windjammer once for dinner but we loved all the choices. Breakfast at all complimentary locations were all about the same, nothing that stood out there. The desserts were lacking at all places except the MDR. Most desserts were mousse style and not very sweet. The staterooms were clean and our steward was very nice. The bed was very firm so after the first night I asked guest services to correct this and they did immediately. Our bed was much softer the second night and very comfortable. The toilets flushing in rooms above and below are very loud so we requested a box fan to use and this helped some. Our kids only went to Adventure Ocean twice. Our oldest said the boys were too rough and did not want to go back. It seems they play a lot of games that involve running or throwing balls and she got hit a couple times. I think if she had went to the club in the morning or afternoon it would not have been as crowded or chaotic. Overall, we loved our cruise and would definitely consider RCI again. We do not love the Caribbean ports so will likely choose another destination next time. Highly recommend Harmony of the Seas. Read Less

Western Caribbean 7 night cruise, family with 1 teenage son. From a very speedy embarkation through to the just as speedy disembarkation the week was great. We never had a bad meal and our very picky teenager always found something to eat. We did my time dining and the food and service was excellent. Plenty to do on board for the kids as well as the adults. The ship never felt overcrowded even when we had a day of rain, so many places for people to disperse to. Never had a problem getting a bed round the pool and the shop was at capacity. Drinks package was well worth it for us not just for the alcohol but also the bottled water and specialty coffee during they day. Outside balcony cabin was they biggest cabin we have ever had on any ship with a bigger than average shower cubicle. This was our 3rd Royal Caribbean cruise but the 1st on a huge ship and It didn’t disappoint. Read Less

My family and I, 11 individuals total, booked a family vacation and birthday cruise for myself. Days one through five on a seven day cruise were Horrible! We reported incidents to Guest Services as they occurred and there was little to no follow through. It took three requests for beds to be separated in one of the cabins, four of the six rooms were not clean nor being cleaned daily, the food was average and sometimes served old or cd, initial wait staff was rude and inconsiderate, dinner tables were separated versus together as booked, several activities on schedule unavailable due to lack of staff, elevators were not functioning properly, charged for birthday cake before receiving it that was not ordered and had to prove it was an error, venues for shows not adequately sized which led to people sitting on floors and stairs, specialty restaurant vouchers given could not be used due to over booking, and incorrect billing for beverage items included in package. After several attempts at resolution and promises to “make it right” nothing was done to appropriately remedy the situation. Definitely not worth the money spent and won’t do it again! Not enough programs for amount of guest, dirty pool because of not enough crew cleaning all the drinks, elevators were a joke multiple empty ones would pass to have a full one stop. They just have to many guest and not enough crew. If you wanted to get somewhere leave a half hour early so you could stand a wait for a elevator then stand in line for whatever you wanted. You were always waiting in line for everything. Excursions were good. Crappy day at coco kay should some that up. Why would you have no shade and smoking where the tram would pick you up???? That one blows even my mind. Need to start all over with this ship. Either less passengers or more crew members, but I would do both to help you out. Just a thought. Read Less

We got to the port around noon and was disappointed to find a long line at security. It took about 30 minutes to get through the line. After getting on board, it took another 20 minutes to get through the line at the buffet. I guess we got there at the same time as everyone else, because after that there was no line. For the muster drill, they let you meet in different areas, but did not allocate enough space. Our number was in a small part of the dining room, and we were forced to stand all packed together. They now show you a cheesy video that takes a while. The ship itself is impressive, and there are lots more activities than other ships we've been on before. However, there are also long lines sometimes. For the pizza, for the elevators (which sometimes seem to take forever), the flow rider, the zip line, and even for My Time Dining at certain times. We've done My Time Dining in its different forms on 3 cruise lines, and had never had the issues we had on this ship. On the first night, they insisted on giving me a regular reservation time of 5:15 even though I made it clear to them that was too early and I wouldn't be able to make it most nights. Then, every night when we go there later, usually around 6-6:30, they would lecture us about coming earlier the next day. Every night they did this. It was really ruining our experience. On lobster night, they sent us to the main dining room on the 4th floor, which apparently was a complete surprise to our waiter. He and the woman who was told to take us up there had an odd conversation about what we were doing there (since this was about an hour into the early set dining time). He tried to be polite to us, but you could tell he didn't want us there. I really don't understand why the dining staff at the Harmony made My Time Dining so hard. The entire point is to be able to come when you want, yet they tried to make us feel guilty every day for doing just that. The waiters themselves were actually quite good and efficient. I was impressed by how quickly the dinner service went, typically about and hour and 15 minutes or so. While there were a lot of activities scheduled on the ship, the staff running them often seemed unprepared, confused, or just bad. They had a different person running the trivia each day, and that person typically couldn't pronounce the questions (or answers) correctly. We've gone to tons of trivia sessions on numerous ship and have never run into this problem before. We even witnessed an argument between a passenger and a crew member over whether one of the answers was correct. This was also a first. For one of the dance sessions, the guy started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early, for a 30 minute session that was actually was only about 10 minutes (3 songs). The dance and fitness sessions held by Sergio were great though. He was really the only entertainment staff member who seemed to take his job seriously. Most of the rest of them seemed like they were just going through the motions (and poorly at that). The staff at the windjammer buffet and the other dining locations were very efficient though. They would take your plate and clear the tables as soon as humanly possible. On several occasions in the windjammer, we had RC employees stop to ask how everything was and if we were happy with everything. The food in the dining rooms was pretty good, but lacked variety. The fool at the windjammer wasn't so good, especially for breakfast. The eggs were runny, the bacon didn't taste right, and the waffles/pancakes didn't taste fresh. They didn't seem to push alcohol as much on this cruise, which we appreciated because we don't drink. The kids got a non-alcoholic drink from the robot arm. Why do they charge a service charge for a robot-made drink? We had an ocean view balcony cabin which was nice. Unfortunately, we had a 'service animal' in the room next to us. It was a little fluffy shih tzu which would bark periodically. I don't know what service a shih tzu provides besides keeping his owner company, but it didn't seem quite right on a cruise ship. We got guarantee cabins which turned out to be a mistake, because RC put our kids in a cabin very far away from our cabin. We were given our cabin as soon as we booked, 4 months out, but our kids weren't given theirs until 2 weeks before sailing. We won't be booking a guarantee again. We had reservations for most of the shows, but that turned out to be unnecessary except for the first night (Grease) and the water show, which was always packed. Grease was inappropriate for children. The water show was impressive, but ours was cancelled halfway through due to the rain. The ice skating show was boring - our kids all left about 15 minutes in. The comedians they had were ok, not great. The kids enjoyed the juggler/comedian. We paid for the all digital photo package, which is $310 onboard, but they give you a $30 discount if you buy it within the first 2 days on the ship (it was only $250 online before the cruise). We got 300+ photos taken, and at least 100 of those were good ones - we even had them take individual photos of the kids - so we got our money's worth. Their photo kiosks only work during certain hours when manned by their photographers. That was annoying. After paying for the package, I was given a website I could go to to see all the photos I purchased. It didn't work that well, but they said it was still in the testing phase. Disembarkation was the smoothest we'd ever experienced. We were allowed to stay in our room until our number was called, immigration only took a minute as they do facial recognition now from the passports, and were walked right out of there with no wait. We chose this cruise for a family vacation and it did not disappoint! What an amazing ship and the staff was wonderful. It never felt overly crowded and we hardly ever had to wait in lines except for my time dining and that was not bad at all. We had 7:45pm reservations every night and we waited maybe 15 to 20 mins tops. We sailed from Port Canaveral. Embarkation and Disembarkation were a breeze! We drove and tipped a porter on the sidewalk to take our bags. We then practically walked right onto the ship with no lines or problems whatsoever! The ship was amazing. It was so clean and there was plenty to do as far as entertainment and activities. We did see Grease and the Fine Line Aqua show. Both were wonderful although Grease was a bit long. My only complaint is that they charged for popcorn for the show. I thought that was a bit cheap but the entertainment was excellent. We also caught the Love and Marriage show, which was quite funny and a couple of pool contests like sexy man and belly flop. These are always fun and entertaining. Our children are 18 and 20 so we really enjoyed the solarium in the late afternoons. It would have been nice to have a pool in the solarium but the hot tubs were wonderful and plentiful with cooling stations. There always seemed to be plenty of pool chairs and we never felt like the ship was over the top crowded. For dining, we did the my time dining because there were no reservations left. This was our first time doing that. It was nice to be able to go whenever if we didn’t show up right on time for our reservation but we missed not getting to know a specific group of servers. We had a different set of servers every night. The service was good but not as good as what we have experienced when we had regular times and the same set of servers. We did not choose any specialty dining as we have done this on past cruises and do not find the food to be that much better. The windjammer was the best windjammer we have eaten at so far with a large variety of quality good food available. The solarium restaurant had a nice salad bar. The park cafe had a wonderful selection of paninis for lunch and breakfast. Sorrentos Pizza was good. There was always a nice selection of pizza. Small bites was the only place to get chips and cheese unless you pay at Sabor, which we did not. They were just ok. We had nice chips and salsa off the boat but it would be nice if they would bring this back in the windjammer with Guacomole and some chunk cheese and crackers. We did not get a chance to try the dog house. We did order coffee and basic fruit as room service but the options are limited for breakfast and we enjoyed main dining and park cafe for our breakfast options. Overall the food was very good. The bars were great! We really enjoyed the Mimosas and Bloody Mary bar in the pub. The schooner bar is always a fav and their lavender daquari is amazing! Boleros has a coconut mojito that is wonderful. Wonderland is fun to pop into for a nice drink and to check out the scenery. Vintages had a nice wine selection. All the pool bars were great with very little wait time and the solarium was the best. All staff were polite and quick. The customer service on this ship is top notch! Our cabin was on the 7th floor. We had an extended balcony. It was wonderful. The rooms on this ship are laid out so nice with lots of storage space and drawers for clothes. We each had our own closet on either side of the room. The bathroom was roomier than any of the other royal ships we have been on. Our stateroom attendant was our favorite so far. She went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The excursions were great. Coco Cay is wonderful and it is so nice that Royal honors your drink package and food on the island. The lunch was wonderful. We stayed on Chill Island for most of the day and did go to the pool with swim up bar for a bit. It was busy but so fun. We ended up spending $40 on 2 lounge mats for the day for the beach. I’m not sure that was worth it. I noticed some people brought their own small blow up loungers with netting and I would probably pack something easy like that for next time but the loungers were nice. Next we went to Cozumel and ended up booking an excursion at Mr. Sanchos all Inclusive. It was awesome and we cant wait to go back. I reviewed that on Trip Advisor and that is where I found them. Next, we went to Honduras. I booked Little French Key all island access pass. This was amazing!!! I booked directly online and have also reviewed them on Trip Advisor as this is where I found this excursion. Last we went to Costa Maya. We just got off the ship and shopped around the port. It was a lot of aggressive vendors on the inside that were willing to cut the prices if you started to walk away and a lot of expensive vendors in stores surrounding this. I probably would not get off the ship next time. They did have a pool and swim up bar people seemed to be enjoying. Overall this is our 7th cruise and the best yet! We would love to go back on Harmony of the Seas! Read Less

I sailed with my two adult children and 8 yr old granddaughter. We chose this ship for her and the myriad of things for her to do. The ship is beautiful and my cabin, a superior balcony, was very roomy with a lot of storage. The balcony was roomy also, with two lounge chairs and foot rests. We dined in many different areas of the ship. The Icon restaurant, one of the main dining rooms we loved. The food was very good and many choices. Breakfast and lunch can be al a cart or buffet style. But patrons are allowed to do both if they desire. The buffet, was also good. We rotated all of them with the MDR except on formal nights. No dressing up for this group. There are many activities available for adults and children. My granddaughter enjoyed the children's club and the many slides and pools that were available. The shows were good and were enjoyed by all. Very talented people on board. Don't miss the Aqua show. The ports were not great, with Roatan, being the worst if you do not scuba. And most of all, the service was great. We had no complaints. The MDR waiters are attentive and helpful. Thank you to Chris at breakfast, and Win at dinner. Now, for the disappointments. We drove to Port Canaveral. There was no signage available, to guide us to the terminal. I rented a scooter from Special Needs Group and I was not pleased. The scooter would not hold it's charge and it just stopped twice and almost left me stranded. For this reason, I did not get off the ship. It was charged daily overnight and once in the afternoon for two hours, to get me through the evening. It should have some kind of odometer available to let the person how far they have traveled. I do not think I exceeded the distance, since I was just on the ship. I did file a claim and they said it would take one week to review. I am anxious to see what happens. American Icon lines were worse than Disney! The Key lunch was great and then it went downhill quickly. Three times I had to send food back and I am not a "foodie". Jamie's Italian was expensive for okay Italian food. I could not text my granddaughter because I had an I phone and she had a Samsung and were unable to communicate with each other except for email. Royal needs to specify that fact. They recommended using Whatsapp, she did not have it and mine was inactive. We could not use the Royal App because she had to be thirteen in order to download it! The Internet was a total waste of money. Please be careful when ordering it. Shows were excellent and nothing at sea can compare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cruised with 27 others. Had family, friends and Niece and Nephew 17&18. HOTS june 2019. We all felt the free food was excellent except for Solarium poor service & food. I reserved two times for free dinner every night, Solarium 6pm and then also My Time Dining 8:30 since we had no idea of show times & did not want to miss since dinner service is alloted 2 HOURS every night. The room attendants and food staff that we saw or spoke were almost all exceptional. There is an 18% tip already paid, we paid an extra 10 to 15% on top and could charge to our room. RC constantly nickel and dimed during the entire pre cruise, items that stated would be included were not get everything email led to you if they tell you something. Voom almost NEVER worked, no way to communicate with rest of our group, RC should atleast put dry erase boards on doors so we could tell everyone where wewent and in four hours where we will be. Print out your entire daily planner, to prove what you paid for and time you scheduld since their app hardly worked. I had to fight to get 1-arcade $ back, since card did not work( had already worked with attendant night before), 2- $ back from cancelled port RC excursion, 3- proof of dinner reservation # reserved and time 4-i have limited mobility and diarrhea was noted on my reservation and RC could not confirm where the $1200 Chill Island Cabana i paid for was..of course 2nd in line on Day one excursion CS had my reserved cabana the farthest last one as far away from bathrooms as possible to walk in 4 inch sand THANKS RC for working with me . 4- got $ back on voom since down so many days. 5- got $ money off cabana since items that should have been included were not - combination locking lid, speaker, usb outlet all none Existant. 6- Got bottle of wine since CS sold me personal Flowrider for my Fam of 3 (my Ipad blocked some drop downs for some reason and i never could read the excursion notes) but not the personal whole hour one on one, was only personal with 12 other guests. 7- RC sponsored excursion start time changed weeks ago, noth Ng noted on my stuff, noone informed us i guess they dont know how to pick up phone or knock on door but willing to interupt my meal to ask me to change my dinner time to 9pm for the remainder of the cruise. Oh the biggy, the weather was crummy, the second largest ship in the world swayed all day and night the first 3 days - in bed, during day, durring dinner, on top deck on bottom deck while walking, everywhere. It was not killer, but i have vertigo so it affected me more than others, but everyone was talking about it. Cool to watch the water swaying out of the pools though. So when it rains no Flowrider, mini golf, rockclimbing or ofcourse pool..could use hot tub since under cover. Since voom did not work, dinner reservation for everyone went out the porthole, first three nights instead of 2 hrs, took an extra 30 to 45/min to seat, so turned into 3 HOURS for dinner. Which dominoed into evening events , that were cancelled. Bummer again. Ps RC luggage tags are competely different, confirm size and shape before buying the cutesie tags. This cruise ship was amazing and the staff was really nice and informative. After watching YouTube videos I had expectations of the embarkation and disembarkation to be a madhouse and frustration. But to my surprise both the embarkation and disembarkation was really smooth. We got to the terminal around 11:00 and we was on the ship by 11:30. (we did online check in prior, which I highly recommend) As far as disembarkation we left around 9:00 we waited in line to get off of ship for like 20 mins. Our suitcases were easy to find as well. Overall for disembarkation it took us like 45 mins to actually get in the shuttle to go to the airport. The ship was sold out so we had close to 6,000 people and yet it didn’t feel crowded. We wasn’t bumping into each other. The ship was so nice and clean. My husband and I stayed in a ocean view balcony cabin and it was spacious. I wasn’t feeling our stewardess, I feel she could had been a little more attentive. We had prepurchased dinner for 2 specialty dining and let me tell you that we wasted our money. The food nor the wait staff was good. We went to 150 Central and Chops Grill and we were so disappointed. We had a reservation for hibachi for our anniversary but we cancelled and got a refund because we were afraid we would had the same bad experience that we had with the other two restaurants. But let me tell you... the main dining for dinner was really good. Also the windjammer for breakfast and lunch was on point. They had plenty to choose from and the food was delicious. We saw the shows and hands down the best one to me was Columbus. Grease was not good at all!!! It was too long ( 90 mins) and boring. If we weren’t sitting in the middle of the row we would had been left and found something more exciting. The karaoke had limited out of date songs. They really need to update this. But overall this was a nice experience and I most definitely will go again. The food overall was very good and the presentation was improved as well. Service in the dining room and our room steward service was wonderful. Every person we encountered was friendly. We were beyond pleasantly surprised. I always recommended Royal, but I stopped and also we weren't looking forward to going again. The casino was boring and wasn't really playing very well - so I quit going there. Perhaps they are using the money saved in there for food. The comedy club was disappointing. Adult is ok, but disgusting isn't necessary. It seems with such a diverse group on board a ship, the comedians could be funny without being crude. I wish they would clean this up a bit. We are heading back to the Harmony for Thanksgiving with our family - pretty sure I won't be booking the comedy club. Not much enrichment but I'm not sure what I would suggest. This was our first cruise, no idea what to expect but oh boy, we were not disappointed! We are a family of four (10 year old daughter and 13 year old son) and this was the best holiday we’ve ever had. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the night before after the million year journey from Australia. We stayed at the Rhodeway Inn which was basic but I highly recommend. The Rhodeway offered transport right to the door of the Royal Caribbean terminal and we on the ship in less than 30 minutes. Not that we knew we were on a ship... this thing is massive!! I could honestly not cover everything it has to offer in one review but the highlights for us were: - Food. Variety, quantity, quality, just everything about it was 10/10. - Drinks. We originally didn’t purchase the package but once on board they had “buy one get 50% off the second”! This proved to be awesome value as we were easily drinking over 10 cocktails a day! The drinks were incredible and available everywhere, I especially loved the Bionic Bar! - Kids/Teen Club. We hardy saw our son. He would hang out at the teen club most the time and wouldn’t be back til 1am. He stayed out later than us!! He said it was the best time of his life and was quite upset once it was over as he had made so many friend. Our daughter was able to sign herself in and out of kids club at will but preferred being at the pools and slides. - Entertainment. There was always something going on and a surprise around every corner, from the pool games to the piano player that would pop up in the elevator! The atmosphere everywhere was so fun and the positive vibe of the ship is just incredible. I wish I could live here! Ports: Haiti - we chilled at the beach with a view of Harmony in the background. Our drinks from our drink package were included here and lunch was to die for! Jamaica - we did a trolley tour of the local area which we arranged in the port itself, $20pp and fantastic value. Souvenirs out of the port are so much cheaper. Mexico - We arranged our own excursion to Mr Sancho’s all inclusive resort. $55pp with all you can eat and drink. Can’t rate this place highly enough, definitely consider it! Side notes: Internet is super fast and reliable everywhere on the ship. Each and every staff member we encountered was perfection. Wonderland is a must do. Make show reservations early online so you don’t miss out! Grease was fantastic! Despite this being a 7 day cruise, I feel like we barely touched the surface of what this floating city has to offer and could have easily stayed twice as long. This ship was great, since we are now doing the suite life, the suite lounge and staff were great, from the time we got on till we got off. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. We had the dining plan so only ate once in the main dinning room. The food was great at every venue. Found our new favorite restaurant was Wonderfand. The food was both fun and amazing. The wemsical and happy attitude of the staff was great. Even though we had a group of 5 thus having a odd number of people at the tabl. Food at the coastal kitchen was both well presented and tasted outstanding. Told the family that they had to try something different that they had not eaten before with every meal. While at Labadee we had a Cabana on barefoot beach, this was. One of the best days on the trip. Best no paperwork when disembarking. With luggage valet we were off the sip in less than 5 minutes. We were excited to try out the new ship. There was my husband, myself and 2 sons (aged 16 & 22). Cabin - 10320 it is on the port side and had a convertible sofa. Configuration is bed first and then sofa by the balcony door (some cabins have the sofa bed when you enter the room adn the bed by the balcony door). First off the second "bed" is a trundle bed under the sofa - both boys said that the beds were comfortable but when the second bed is pulled out you cannot walk past it to the balcony so if the boys were sleeping in, there is no way to get to the balcony to sit out there without literally stepping on the kid on the second bed. For rooms that have the sofa bed first, you can barely get past the bed to reach the washroom. I much prefer having the 4th bed come down from the ceiling. I was not pleased with this set up and storage space for 4 adults (who are not over packers) was tight. The service in our cabin was great, the room steward did an great job. Dining - we ate in Chops and Jamie Oliver's and I had a BOGO package and can not say enough about those restaurants. The food, service etc was out of this world. The main dining room was a real disappointment. I have had much better shrimp from a shrimp ring bought at Costco than in the main dining room. The shrimp from Chops were huge, the ones in the shrimp cocktail in the main dining room were pathetic. The shortribs one night were just awful, worse than my grandmother's pot roast. The service in the main dining room was great but the food on some nights was no better than eating at Denny's. We did find the Solarium for breakfast a better less hectic, less crowded more enjoyable than Windjammers. Entertainment - this was great and we had the surprise of having Voctave on board who did a great performance. Comedy Club was also great, very funny. Activities were hit and miss - you had to get to some of them 30-45 minutes early. My son tried to play adult dodgeball and went about 30 minutes early and was told that they already had the maximum number of people signed up so he could not play. FlowRider was also very busy most times with long lineups but we went the morning we landed in Labadee so most people were off the ship and my sons were able to ride with barely any wait but the downside is we had to give up some time in Labadee for that to happen. Also heard complaints from others that activities onboard filled up quickly (trivia for one) so it was hard to participate unless you staked out a spot very early. Service/Embarkation/Disembarkation - all went very smoothly, no issues Port and Shore Excursions - They were fine but I had a planner that listed the activity we did in Jamaica at $99/person but when I signed up at the Shore Excursion Desk it charged me $137/person and when I brought this to the attention of the person working there they apologized and said I have to go to Customer Service and wait in a long line to get the difference credited to my card. I was not pleased with this as it was obviously their error and I had to take time out of my day to fix their error. I told this to the customer service agent who agreed and apologized. I was not looking for any sort of monetary compensation but rather I felt that the Shore Excursion person should have taken the details and corrected it herself. My 16 yr old enjoyed the time in the teen area, rarely saw him some days. The 22 year old, not so much, he went to a couple of the "single meet and mingle" events but no one was there. He would have had a much better time if he went with some buddies or more people attended the events but overall he too had a good time. Gym/Fitness - it was good but I really did not like being "underground" all the other ships I have been on had the gym in the upper decks where you could look out from floor to ceiling windows and with the gym on the 5th deck (maybe 4) there were only porthole like windows so I really missed the "view" that I have had in the past. So, let me preface this review by saying that I am NOT a cruiser. I’m more of a secluded, quiet, adults-only resort type of person. But I have children, and we all need to be happy on vacation, so we decided to take a cruise. We had been on a Disney cruise once before, which my children loved, but we were reluctant to pay that much again, so we decided to try Royal Caribbean. We chose it because it had a lot of options for active families and because their kids clubs are supposed to be good. With all of that said, here are my top take-always, again from the perspective of a non-cruiser. 1. GET THE SUITE. This is my best piece of advice for anyone who needs a little peace and quiet. We booked the Crown Loft Suite, which was a perfect amount of space for a family of four. Best of all, it came with 24/7 access to the suite lounge, which features its own sit-down restaurant as well as a bar serving complementary drinks and snacks. I probably spent about half of my waking hours in the suite lounge, and it was hardly ever full. 2. GET THE SUITE. I have to stress this twice, because I truly cannot imagine how I would have found a way to enjoy this cruise without all the benefits that came with being in a suite. We never waited in line for ANYTHING. If we wanted to eat, we were seated immediately in the suite restaurant. If we wanted to see a show, seats were held for us. If we forgot to book activities, the concierge handled it. When it was time to disembark, we were escorted off the ship directly to our bags with no wait. Seriously—it was like being a celebrity. The red carpet was rolled out for us everywhere. With a ship of 5,000+ people, I cannot stress what a difference it made. 3. GET THE SUITE. I know, I know. I just sound like a salesperson at this point, but I’m serious. If you have the means, DO IT. Even if you don’t think you have the means, DO IT. The value of all the extras practically makes up the difference in price: free drinks, free snacks, free internet, free luggage valet, guaranteed seats at every show, on-demand concierge services, access to a private beach on Labadee with complimentary loungers—the list goes on. If you value your time and don’t want to spend it standing in lines, the suite is the only way to go. Last tidbit of advice: if you have children, make sure you check the height requirements for all of the activities on board. We didn’t, and we were disappointed to learn that our younger child was too short for most things. Also, with the excellent food and spectacular view in the suite lounge, you really shouldn’t bother booking speciality dining. It’s not worth the surcharge. Read Less

We choose this cruise because we wanted something other than Disney for our 6 and 8 year olds children. The positives were it’s family friendly; the children had fun and were entertained (rarely if ever bored); they liked the kids club; we liked the room and room steward, embarking and debarking with self assist was easy; and the shows were great. What we didn’t like were the crowds. With no USA holidays this week it was fully booked. On sea days it was nearly impossible to get a seat at the pool let alone go into the pool. Too many people and long lines for every activity made this enjoyable for adults. Many places had odd hours and were closed a lot. The flow rider always had long lines. The food was just okay overall. We didn’t like the steaks at chops grille (the worst steaks we have ever had and the rib eye advertised as prime was not prime). Windjammer and solarium bistro buffets were overcrowded and the selection was mediocre. You constantly have to check your cruise compass to get hours since every place has different hours. We tried to get dessert at wonderland and we were told it was “not possible”. We went to park 150 for dessert and while we got in - their coffee machine was “broken”. We were told “no” quite a bit. The spa is disorganized and unprofessional. The massages were good but then they try to sell you very expensive products - annoying!! We spent nearly $6000 on this cruise with deluxe drink packages. But we didn’t book and excursions. We wanted to stay on the ship port days so we could enjoy the ship with less people though many places are closed on port days. We did walk around the ports for a little but there was little to do unless you book an excursion - which is a small fortune. The hibachi was off to a bad start and the food was bland but the chef was great! There is no kid’s hibachi menu. Kids who want hibachi have to order off the adult menu but can share. It’s $45-49 per person and plenty of food. Long lines for balloon animals, face painting and other kid friendly activities on board caused us to skip those. Sabor was our favorite specialty dining - at $22 per person and good service. Most of the service on board was positive. But we weren’t impressed with the food quality in the main dining room, the windjammer and most specialty dining. Food is just okay - mediocre at best and terrible at times. We did this for the kids and they loved it but for the adults like us - the crowds and mediocre food made us not want to come back. Also while the kids liked the kids club - they stay indoors. They have odd hours and we were picking up and dropping off so much we didn’t get a lot of time to just have adult time. They’re open in 3 hour spurts. If you’re more laid back and don’t mind being herded like cattle or being a sheep - you may like this cruise. If you’re doing this for your kids and willing to take one for the team - you may also like this cruise. For us - we will try to find a more adult friendly, less crowded vacation next time. Read Less

We loved the entertainment on this ship...play, aqua show, ice skating, comedians, parades and more. The cabins were clean and had lots of storage. Our canbin steward was the most unfriendly we’ve ever had. She must have take her cue from the officers and much of the rest of the crew who never smiles or greeted the passengers. Everything and everyone was treated businesslike. We realized that this was a large ship, like a big city, but didn’t expect such crowds and lines. We were greatful that we found Park Cafe where we could have a smaller venue for lunch. Dining in the main dining room had good food served by somewhat friendly staff. Desserts were boring so we ended up in Windjammer after dinner for a better selection, including crepes that were individually made...try them. There were lots of children, many not well behaved which showed some parents need to supervise them better...walking on furniture, pushing in elevators, running and yelling in the halls, etc Think these very large ships are not for us. We were a group of nine and we all agree the crew and officers were unfriendly and we would find another ship for future cruises. Read Less

After 2 years of researching and saving up I decided on Harmony of the Seas. It had so many different options to satisfy my 9 year old daughter to my 35 year old fiance who is a big kid at heart. When I booked the cruise through Royal Caribbean, they strongly recommended I book our flights through Air to Seas. With all the research, almost everyone was saying to fly out a day early to make sure you make it to the ship before it sails. When booking through Air to Seas, I was reassured many times, that booking it this way, it would take the stress away. It didn't. It may seem excessive, but I called approx five times. Asking if they were certain we would make it on time. The flight that they booked us, had us arriving for 1:20pm. The last shuttle service left at 1:30pm. See my concerns? I told Air to Seas, that coming from Canada seems like to much of a risk flying the day of. Considering our unpredictable winter weather. I kept getting reassured, being reminded that booking your flight with Air to Sea guarantees you will make it. The day of, we flew out at 5:15 am. 2 hours to Toronto. Than, an hour lay over, which would land us at 1:20pm. When we got to Toronto. 1 hour was Not enough time. I literally had to yell in line, if someone would take 100$ US money to let us cut in line so we could make it to our flight on time. Just to find out, we would be waiting on a plane that needed to be fuelled up and de-iced. Putting us 2 hours behind. When I first called the emergency Air to Sea emergency line, the women said there was nothing she could do. I called an hour later and spoke to someone different who got in touch with the cruise line. I was so grateful. We rushed off the plane at 3:20pm. My fiance literally ran to find our luggage while I ran to find the Royal Caribbean rep. He gave 8 of us a choice. Since we only had 10mins to get to the port. The luggage was not taken off the plane in this short amount of time. Option 1. Stay behind, in a hotel and fly out to Jamaica and get to the ship than. Or Option 2. Go to the port, start checking in and the luggage would arrive possibly by 430pm or the next stop. Since Jamaica was day 4 of a 7 day cruise, we chose to rush to the Ship. We were guaranteed the luggage would get to us by the Royal Caribbean Rep. I asked so many times, I even recorded it since I was so anxious about leaving all of our luggage behind. Our summer clothes, our medications. We were on a fancy ship very underdressed. I had to cut my Jeans to make shorts and luckily my 9 year old had 2 pairs of sandals in her luggage, 2 sizes 2 small which of course cut my feet and caused infection. Because we were so underdressed, we weren't able to attend the entertainment. We kept being told our luggage would arrive in Jamaica. Day 4. I was only told on that day, because there were 70 suitcases, it was decided they would not fly any of the luggage because of no room. I don't want to place blame on the ship Harmony of the Seas, as it wasn't their fault. They gave the 3 of us 150$ credit to buy essentials on the ship. There are only 2 stores. That credit paid for 2 pairs of shorts and 1 tank top. By day 4 I was able to buy a swimsuit in Jamaica. Unfortunately, there were so many things we weren't able to experience because of not having the right clothing. For example, the Abyss, you need a t-shirt and longer shorts to avoid burns. The last night I had to settle the bill. I counted my money and I was short 940$ the Security came into the cabin and turned everything upside down, inside out to see if we were hiding the money. It was their procedure. Our safe didn't work properly. We had to get it fixed 3 times. After the first room clean, I had 2 brown envelopes with Cash. Devided, the bigger Bill's for shore excursions and the smaller Bill's for tipping in the other one. Since our days that we docked were spent rushing to pharmacies, looking for bathing suits ect... we didn't do any excursions. And because I was sick from not having my medications, and also in a bad mood, I tried to spend the least amount of money on the ship. Anyways, the first room clean, all my cash 3400$ was placed into one envelope. I quickly counted it, and 40$ was missing. Because of the situation, I thought I must of left the envelopes out, 40$ might have fallen out and he took a tip. I was just so grateful not everything was gone. Luckily, I had receipts for everything for insurance claims. When leaving Canada it was documented how much money I took with me. After the security was done searching the room and their questions, one of the Security came and found me at the smoking section and told me my story didn't make sense. Why didn't I report 40$ missing. If someone wanted to steal, they would have taken everything. I told her I don't know. I'm not blaming him. As, there were 3 different people who came in to fix the safe, and twice the toilet had to be fixed. Royal Caribbean is blaming West Jet for our terrible experience. But, I received false information from the people who booked our flights through Air To Seas. And the Royal Caribbean Rep for guarantee of our luggage making it to us. I really do not know how they can blame West Jet. I was convinced by a professional to book that flight. My sister works for West Jet. I could have gotten the flight tickets for super cheap, flown the day before, stayed in a hotel and still have saved so much money. They even charged me 45$ each (3 people) for Taxi services, while Royal Caribbean offers free shuttle service, which we ended up using. I could go on and on.. but I think if anyone actually reads this, they can learn from what happened to us. One more thing. I booked an inside balcony room over central park. Which had 3 beds. We got a small room, no balcony. 1 bed and one sofa that folded down to a bed. They were booked solid and couldn't fix that. I wasn't given back the difference. Read Less

The ship is really big and over all a good experience. Good food, specialy on the windjammer, jamie oliver and sorettos pizza. Also good food on labadee , the cruiselines own Island. Labadee is a tropic paradise, but not autentic haiti ofcourse. The port of falmouth and conzumel is nothing. Its just a tourist trap of diamond shops and ugly soveniers. We whent on a snorkling trip with fury in conzumel witch was nice. The ship could do much more for the youngsters. We traveld with a 15 and a 10 year old. Activity looks nice on paper but its best for small english speaking children. SPA... what to say... i go to the spa to get a treatment that i have booked.. i pay the expensive price, on harmony you get a great treatment, BUT THE EXPERIENCE IS TOTALY RUINED BY THE PUSHY STAFF WHO DESPERAT TRYING TO GET YOU TO BUY LOADS OF PRODUCTS TO CRAZY PRICES... not ok at ALL !! Cabin was imaculate with great staff, we had a ocean view cabin with balcony. The fitness area could have much better facilatys with free weigths, kettelbells, rubbers fitnessballs and so on. So nice cruise and facilities. The food and the restaurant was better than expected, and the surroundings are so nice. We stayed at deck 10, and I wouldnt recommend to stay below this. The rooms was bigger than we thought and the cleaning on board was super. There was maybe to much American entertainment, but yeah - it is America. The watershow was amazing - it is a must see on board! The fitness and spa is very expensive - in our opinion way to expensive. The fitness classes costed 20 dollars - really expensive! though they were fully booked every day, and there should have been more classes, and maybe a little bit less expensive. The scuba shop is not worth trusting. The excursions they were offering were half the time that they said, so we felt we overpaid a lot and they just said that it wasnt their responsibility. BUT, the guestservice and the staff taking care of the booking etc. was awfull! Read Less

Amazing ship, plenty for all age groups. Our group consisted of ages 12-50yrs One in the a party was a first time cruiser and worried about whether he would enjoy the cruise experience - needless to say he did ! We did 2 back to back weeks. The entertainment was superb, our particular favourite being The Fine Line aqua show - the talent of the performers was outstanding, in sometimes tricky conditions. Staff are chirpy and cleanliness is second to none. We never had to wait for any length of time to be served at any bar. Food is outstanding. Main Dining (silk) room waiters and in the Windjammer are superb. Our cabin steward quietly and discreetly went about his daily chores. We looked forward to the daily updates from the bridge by Captain Johnny. The stops at Labadee made for a great chill out day at the beach. And this is where my only complaint would come in. A beech staff member did not seem to employ the same ethics that RCI staff on ship employ. We were happily sorting out our lounger, when a staff member insisted he did it, then stood staring at me waiting to be paid. He gave a disgruntled moan when he received $1USD (clearly he felt the 60 seconds he insisted on doing was worth more!). I watched him do the same with other families. I will add he was the only one displaying this behaviour, I watched plenty of others happily helping and then moving to the next family. We did RCI organsied exursions and they were all amzing in terms of quality offerred with value for money. For the age range in our group this ship was perfect, and despite being fully booked, it never felt crowded anywhere, loungers were alwyas available, and seats usually available at shows if guests had not reserved any. We haf some issues with commincation from the bookings/admin office, with vital documetnaiotn whcih ahd not been sent to our travel agent - the guest services staff on board tirelessly worked to resolvethis if us. all round GREAT STAFF, GREAT SERVICE and A GREAT TIME was enjoyed. Disembarkation is slow once off ship, and something needs to be done in regards to the customs process, only 2 desks open, ! Read Less

We choose this ship because we are Royal Caribbean GOLD in Crown & Anchor Society, and our previous cruise were fantastic in Freedom and Quantum Class Ships. All family wanted to try Oasis Class ship, OUR MISTAKE. All starts at embarkation with our luggage, rude staff asking for tips before anything else..... This ship is beautiful, but it is to big for the crew and management, here details: - Food, in Windjammer food were the worst we have had in a cruise, only last 2 o 3 days before cruise finish quality goes good but not to better. - They call guest to clean their hands before entry to Windjammer but nobody from crew takes care to check if guest really clean their hands, they only stand at the entry, ask for clean hands is a formality, but not a real thing. - Guests left the tables made a mess, very dirty, and the cleaning work for next guest was not to good. - 150 Central Park Restaurant don't lose your money there. - Main dining Room run for your life...., food ok not more, but service forget about it. - After two days we understand the food business, poor food and service included to push you to go to paid restaurants, we talk with other guest and they thought in the same way. - Service from the bar at pools was to slow, we order sometimes but stop we have to wait to much. - towels, 3 stations but usually works only one, you have to walk to the open one, and the guys were talking between them, you have to wait for them before receive the towel. - Hot dog station, from a selection of hot dogs usually they hace coney island only. - SPA, they change your time as their convenience, and it's a scam, they sell you 75 minutes of relaxing massage, but those 75 minutes are like this, the first 15 minutes of waiting and talking time with your massage therapist, then 45 minutes of massage and to finish 10 or 15 minutes trying to sell you a lot of beauty expensive products. Imagine the 50 minutes offer....... And other many, many things out of the cruise of our or your dreams. Recommendation with your photo package, If you travel with more than one cabin in your reservation, and in the other cabins there are people (your son and daughter) over 21 years old, put all your photos under one cabin number, if not, when you are going to select your photos you will have to paid a lot of more money, A LOT!!!. They don't let you to put all the cabins photos together (all cabins under your reservation) to take all your photos for the best package rice...... Out standing from our cruise, Jamie's Oliver restaurant and Wonderland, food and service. We try it them (both) in Quantum class ship and were great to. Izumi restaurant is this ship a small and dark hole, so dark and dirty, bad service, very slow to receive food after order, in other way Izumi in Quantum class are excellent!!. Usually after a cruise we talk about crew and we fall in love with all of them, but in this cruise we remember only two lovely and outstanding service, they were Cristina from Jamie's Oliver restaurant and the waiter from Macedonia of Wonderland restaurant (sorry we forgot the name), only two..... so sad for a cruise experience. Family Christmas vacation Prepare for long wait times for the 24-elevators onboard. Elevators are unresponsive and most elevators remain “at-sleep” and when elevator comes it is checker-block FULL! RCCL needs to hire an elevator programmer to clear up this mess. Entertainment was a definite highlight and the aqua show, skating show, and Royal theatre productions were excellent. Ship is gigantic and is very stable in rough seas and high winds. Crew and dining attendants were most helpful. The entrance to the windjammer restaurant had hand washing stations which helps to control the possible spread of NORO and colds. The paper drying dispensers need to have at least one for young children as the 4-current ones are out of reach for young kids. Anybody who complains of a lack of food varieties has not travelled on other cruise lines to compare. The washroom sink and basin are very tiny and if any washing of shirts, etc, is impossible. The sink basin is only 9 x 11-inches and 3-inches deep. No wonder they have phased out the traditional washroom clothes line to dry bathing suits, etc. Read Less

For many years I dreamed of traveling on Oasis class ship on RCCL. Finally decided to go for it in 2018 as I caught a good promotion. The ship was great with many state-of-the-art features. Fast internet connection. The food was good even in buffet and main dining room. However, when i got onboard my dining reservations for mytime dining were MIA. Lucky I checked on this early on and was able to rebook preferred times onboard. I def prefer NCL Freestyle dinning, one less thing to worry about! The shows were very good (comparable to NCL quality) but definetely not as many activities as NCL. I booked a boardwalk balcony stateroom on the 8th floor and can definetely say you WILL hear not only the boardwalk noise but also the noise from the aqua theater. FYI- shows run until 10 and 11pm each night! This affected the quality of my vacation much more than expected. Did not rest much. Television also had very limited channels. Overall, I think I will stick with NCL or Disney from now on. Read Less
