The service on the cruise is excellent. Since we boarded until we left, everything was wonderful. My wife turned the year on April 5 and the housekeeping played a birthday song with a symphony. This excited her a lot. That day in the main restaurant the innkeepers Alberto and Kenya sang the birthday to him along with don Ronald Limpim, head of innkeepers. The food in the main restaurant was excellent. all the restaurants have excellent service and food. I was surprised by the bar with robots. It is an innovation. The atmosphere in the casino is excellent. The bartenders of the casino very friendly. The service in the pool area was excellent, both in the bars and in the chairs. The check in was fast and the departure of the cruise also. The photo service in all phases of the cruise was excellent, both on board and at the stops. The service in Labadee was too good. Jamaica is beautiful. Cozumel has an excellent beach and it is very safe. My thanks to all the Royal Caribbean staff. Congratulations Read Less

Super great service and extremely nice people. We did not explore the departure city before the cruise, but the next time we will do so. The embarkation and disembarkation went extremely smooth in comparison to other cruises we have went on. We were immense with the cruise liner and all the many great ventures to explore on the ship like the "Central Park" area. It is an amazing ideal to have a park theme on the ship. Therefore, it was very hard to miss being away from home. There was plenty of fun and interesting entertainment such as live jazz & reggae bands and other activities for everyone to enjoy. At each port, we did Shore excursions which were well planned and engaging for my 14-year-old daughter and my 21 yr. old niece. They really enjoyed the shows on board, especially Grease as well as watching the movies. There were many things for them to enjoy, but importantly, they enjoyed the late night pizza shop staying open until 3:00 am. What a perfect "Spring Break" for my daughter and niece. Thank you, Harmony of the Seas. Read Less

Great new ship with Friendly staff. The shows were exceptional. Jamie's restaurant has great food. Chef's table was a amazing once in a life time experience. The way they had the table set up was unbelievable. The kids club programs do need lots of improvements. Some staff were very rigid and our kids did not want to stay in the kids club. The programs for kids from age 3-9 was much more interactive than 9-11 age group. The staterooms are nicely kept and the staff are very attentive to your needs. There are bars in every corner of the ship and all the bartenders were very friendly and quick to take your order. St. Marteen was not as great as Labadee. I think we could stay in Labadee longer. San Juan was also not very touristic. Nothing to see for such a short period of time. Overall a wonderful vacation. Read Less

We mainly chose this cruise for new ship Harmony of the Seas. We have been on 3 previous cruises but never on one of the supersized ships. The ship was huge and had so much to do we will probably have to go on another 7 night to finish experiencing the rest of everything the ship has to offer. Cabins are spacious and well appointed Food is by far the BEST I have had on any cruise I was on!!!!! Entertainment variety and quality was excellent, so many offerings, we only made it to a fraction of them. Service was superb! All the staff was very friendly and efficient. The were very concerned with us having a great time while on our cruise. Ports were great. Only negative was our time in Puerto Rico was too short, only in port from 8am to 2pm. Note: elevators in middle of ship were ridiculously slow. Royal Caribbean needs to correct on this beautiful ship (Harmony of the Seas) We would go again, maybe stay closer to other bank of elevators. Read Less

This cruise fit our school's spring break and the chance to go on the newest ship at the time was the reason we chose it. We flew in the morning of the cruise (something we probably won't do again, too tired) and checked right in. We used a cab service to get us over there at $12 each. Uber is way cheaper and we won't use the cab service again. The ship is amazing, we have sailed on Allure a couple of times and the ship had that familiar feeling, but had it's own special parts too. We had a ocean view balcony cabin on the tenth deck, with the kids (18 year old daughter and her friend, and 17 year old son and his friend) across the hall with Central Park balconies. The cabins we very clean, our stateroom attendant was excellent. We saw all the shows and we were not impressed by Grease, we enjoyed Mamma Mia and Chicago much more, perhaps it is just too well known. Columbus the Musical was funny and quirky. The teenagers thought it was too dorky, but I liked it. The comedy was excellent and the headliner was the best ventriloquist I have ever seen. We at in the my time dining room each night. Our waiter was excellent and he really goofed around with the teenage boys and they ate it up. The food was excellent, but the last two nights seemed to be not quite as good as the first five nights. In the evening, we spent a lot of time in the Schooner Bar as Andrew was one of best singers I have ever heard on a cruise ship. I usually like to hang out in the Bow and Stern and listen to the guitar player and singer in there too, but on this cruise he was a very young guy who did not seem to know the songs that I usually hear in that atmosphere. The game shows in Studio B were hilarious and "Love and Marriage" was okay, too long and the couple just weren't that funny. I felt that the service on the ship was very good. The bar service was the best I have ever had on a ship. I rarely had to wait for the bar service, which has actually been a problem for me on other ships. We had stops at St. Marteen, which is recovering, but still beautiful. We did the airport snorkel. The snorkeling was poor, not many fish, but the boat ride was fun as was swimming in the water. If I could have a do over, I would do Bernard's Tours again. The next stop was San Juan. The best part about this port was the view when we left, the city with the fort is just beautiful. In the city itself, go see the fort, it is very cool, but the rest of San Juan is just a small city with a million people. It was packed and I want tropical stops on a cruise, not big cities. Finally, we stopped in Labadee! This is the tropical paradise that I think of when I think of cruising. Swimming in the ocean surrounded by green mountains and shimmering blue water is amazing! We did not do any excursions here, but in hindsight, we probably should have let the kids pick something out and do it. The kids said it was their best cruise ever and we already booked next year on Symphony. The only frustration we had was on the San Juan stop. When we got back on the ship after our tour, almost nothing was open. The Abyss was closed, many of the bars were closed and then there was Jamie's. We got back to the ship around 11:30 A.M. and went to Jamie's to see if we could get a reservation for lunch. We were informed that we could but not until noon. We decided to sit in Central Park and relax while we waited. When noon rolled around, we headed in to eat. We were told that they would not be opening until 12:30 P.M. and would we like to wait. At this point, I was a little "hanrgy" and we decided to go up to Johnny Rockets. We explained to the hostess at Jamie's that we just waited half an hour for a noon reservation, but they did not do anything to make it right. On the bright side this was the most disappointing thing that happened on the cruise, so all in all, no big deal. Read Less

So the ship was awesome, huge and packed with stuff to do. lets start out with my room, I had a central park balcony room at times it felt small but it definetly feels a lot more spacious then any video I saw online would have led me to believe. the couch does the cool thing if u get a room with a couch bed where a matress slides out from under and goes on the main sitting part at night time of course put out by the house keeper it was the most confortable couch bed I have ever been on no close second. the royal promanade is awesome people working there are really nice and helpful I got to know the guy at sorrentos cuz I love pizza and they had pretty good pizza you can just walk up be like I want a slice or 2 or 3 of that one and they give it to u and u walk out its one of the included renstraunts. most of them are a few places like most places on central park except park cafe arnt included, jonny rockets isnt included but not expenive at jonny rockets but its really good there. sabaros isn't included. the boardwalk is awesome. Ive been on the slides and they are so fast and fun the abyss slide needs a mat but its awesome even the water slides are fast probably the best slides ive been on ever. there is a quiet place mostly secret on the sides of the ship on the 5th doeck towards the front of ship on the sides where its this big glass wall with air vents from outside with chairs, I saw yoga classes there a few times nice place to relax. I work out a ot and the gym is awesome. Doesn't beat your local gym but 100% better then any hotel gym with a lot of machines and free weights (not all) that I use at my regular gym which impressed me a lot centrl park plants are real I saw gardeners watering them central park is awesome. Its definetly worth it to try the donuts in windjammer and cafe promanade they're the same donutes and they are awesome. the fries at the windjammer are awesome too. The one thing I could complain about is you cant get a nonacahol drink from the robot bar whwne your under 21 without a parent. They have non alcaholic drinks but you have to be over 21 to order it. Atleast if they have it if a kid scans their card limit them to only non achaholic drinks because the machine knows if the person 21 or not. the wings from room service are awesome, the ship is awesome I reccomend this ship 100% customer service was great the destinations were great, the ship great. Took this cruise to watch our grandchildren while mom and dad had fun with friends. Had a great time despite not really experiencing all the ship has to offer. Crew really try’s to pamper you even with small kids. Crew was always there to assist when needed. Bar service was slow but food service was exceptional in the places we ate. Boat had over 6,000 guests and although it could be crowded at times in some areas, the crew moved things along and we never felt crambed in. Loved the ship, the ports, and the crew. Will sail with them again soon I hope! The only complaint we had was that we like to gamble and the casino was so Smokey all the time we could hardly breath. So we never went in the casino to gamble. Certainly their loss and I saved money. Next cruise I will skip the casino all together and focus on the entertainment. Read Less

Prior to taking the cruise, we were a bit skeptical about the size of the ship, concerned that we might have crowds. However, in all our years of cruising, this was the most efficient and smooth experience. We had virtually NO wait in embarkation or disembarking. The pre-boarding online made it an effortless experience. There was never a crowd, whether it be at a restaurant, poolside, shows, etc. Now, for most shows, we did make a reservation, but even if not, there was always decent seating available. As we had 11 of us for dinner (five grandsons between 3 - 8), we had made My Time Dining reservations in the Main Dining for 6:00 each night. We were given the same table and wait staff. This team was overly kind to our family of young boys, creating such a pleasant and fun dining time. The food was so good that it satisfied the adult foodies as well as the children. The boys could easily order from either the childrens or adult menus and always found more than enough choices. We never found one crew member who was not wonderful and accommodating. The Wave Runner, Abyss, Carousel, Rock Climbing, Kids Club, Room Escape, etc. teams were all fun and friendly. We had three cruising days and never ran out of fun things to do! (Love the running track being tucked away, so we did not have to maneuver around deck chairs!) Read Less

I picked Harmony because I wanted the biggest and best ship to take my Teens on. They had the time of their lives on the ship, made lots of friends and wore themselves out daily. The boarding on and off the ship was extremely quick. The staff is the most polite and helpful I have ever seen on a ship. The food, wasn't the best I have ever had but there was plenty of options and the lines were not too terribly long. I can't imagine cooking for 6800 passengers though so I didn't focus much on eating. I enjoyed the track around the lower deck and went to the gym a few times, both are very nice. My spa experience was nice however I didn't like trying to be sold products right afterwards. I'd say the only downfall of the ship is that the solarium didn't have a pool and that shade is limited on the pool decks. We were planning our next trip on Harmony before even leaving the ship! Great Experience in cruising. The Ship is huge like in a city you won't even know you are in a ship. Dining is great and you are always treated with royalty and outstanding service. They have nice shows and entertainment. Our stateroom is beautiful and lots of room and has balcony. Lots of excellent international food at the Windjammer Marketplace. They have movies, comedies, and lots of other things to entertain passengers not to mention Casino Royale. I love the formal dining and dressing up formal. Lots of complimentary coffee, cakes, cookie, pizzas and sandwiches 24/7 at the Promenade Café and Sorrento. The Dazzle club will take you back to the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's with the house band. The Vitality Spa, Starbucks, the Gift shops, the Wellness center, swimming pool and hot tub, the Abyss are great. And much, much more. Great place for relaxing and de-stressing yourself. I love this cruise. we will be back, God willing. Read Less

So i've done a lot of homework on this ship before picking it and read numerous reviews, both good, bad, and ugly. I was seriously worried about this cruise... And holy cow... Did this exceed my expectations... So this is a pretty in-depth review if you are new to cruising or looking for my opinoin! - The reviews i read are of 2 types - those that are "old school" cruisers, and those that are "new". The old school way of cruising was without children, and that of opulence. Meals were top notch, attendants waited on you at every second, and status was everything... Well, the times have changed... And the cruise lines have adapted... To families! So, if you don't like children, or are looking for quiet old school cruising, rc (especially the newer ships) is not for you. Also - make sure you plan, plan, plan... You need to book out all shows and excursions well ahead of your trip! Don't be upset if you cannot get into shows as i warned you!! The way i pick my cruises - i pick by ship. I prefer newer, larger ships. I've been on everything from 78k gross tons up to 230k gross tons (harmony of the seas). Recently i took a trip on the disney magic which is pretty small and realized that i truly missed the personal touch you get on small ships. Thus, i was pretty worried that this cruise ship with 6k passengers would be extremely sterile with no personality... Boy was i wrong! We headed down to ft. Lauderdale after a week at disney as i wanted the newer oasis class ship that had the waterpark. Oasis out of port canaveral didn't have it, so we did the 3 hour drive just for the ship. Embarkation - painless! We had an 11:30 boarding ticket and arrived at the terminal around 11:45. Other than a 10 minute security line to get into the terminal, we were literally on the ship within 10 minutes after that! (Make sure to fill everything out online before your trip to save time!!) Ship - truly amazing. Of all the ships i've been on, i was worried how long it would take me to learn this ship. Holy cow, this was the easiest ship i've ever had to learn!! It was newer, and very clean. There were little signs of wear. Also, with 6k people onboard, at no time did it ever feel crowded until the last day (and the ship was sold out). Whoever designed this did a great job of common areas and traffic flow. I guess my only complaint was there was not enough ice cream machines and the lines were often 10 deep. Pro = getting off at ports was painless. The way they designed the escalators going to the gangway was awesome... You didn't have to wait for crowded elevators to the 'secret 2nd floor' to get on/off the ship, as it was all accessed by the 3rd floor! Wonderful design! Food - met my expectations. We did not pay for any upgrade meals, as i don't believe in paying for products you already get! Was it great? No. Was it bad? No. It satiated me and met my expectations for what feeding 6000 people would be like! We did order room service twice and i will say it was just fair... I normally wouldn't have minded, but they do charge a delivery fee! Staff - i read many reviews about how 'tired' they were and not good... Well, the staff we encountered were wonderful, especially the bartenders in the sand bar by the pool. They knew our names and drinks after day 1. All of the staff were wonderful (we did have one incident, but i won't let that ruin it for the other 2k staff members). Cabin steward amazing. Bartenders, amazing.. Just all out A++ Cabins - clean and still newish. Rc were a little smaller than others i've been on, but we don't spend much time in them.. The balconies were deep enough to sit in a chair and plenty spacious. I'd give the cabin a 9 out of 10. Tv programming was bad, but again, you're not on a ship to watch tv! Shows - wow, this was truly a disappointment. Grease was utterly horrible. Singing was bad, and overall 1.5 hours of my life i won't get back. Columbus - yuck! We walked out. The only good show was the water show - a fine line. I'd give that 8/10... Otherwise save yourself some time and don't see the shows! We did buy the wow bands - (think a watch instead of using your cards for everything). At the end of the day, our kids didn't need them and we wound up taking them off all the time to hand to the bartenders, etc. I guess they were good that we wore them and knew where they were while swimming vs. Hiding a card?.. Good attempt.. Just not great on the execution. When leaving the ship at port, you need your physical room card/key, so the bands are only good on the ship. Pool towels - what a screwed up system. You check out towels on your room, and if you don't return them, you get charged $25.00..... Every day i made sure my balance was zero, and then out of the blue i owed them 5 towels???? Not sure on the strategy of this one and room for improvement here. Beverage package - true value here. I always got fancier coffees, and fresh squeezed juices along with bottle water during the day.. Then we drank alcohol at night. I was worried that i would get charged a bunch of $1, and $2 charges for drinks over the $13 thresh hold.. That wasn't the case and this turned out to be a wise purchase!!! Royal iq app and charges / customer service - so i had everything set up correctly before boarding (kids charging privildeges, etc.) and at some point, it kept breaking. I was constantly watching my bill as some stuff was mis-charged. I had to go to guest services which was painful, as most of them didn't seem to know what they were doing. One day i finally got a sr. Guest services member, and she fixed everything. Room to improve here, but everyone has issues :) Debarkation - okay, so this is one that i scratch my head... I bought a watch on the ship that exceeded my allowance... So of course, when i get off the ship. I am going to claim it... As i try to exit i'm told i have a "message" and need to proceed to the irish bar across the way.... Then when i get to the bar with my family, i'm told "i was randomly selected by customs to fill out a declaration card"... Okay, no problem.. I thought i did that when i was presenting to customs, but hey, i'll fill it out now.... Once done, we were escorted by a private escort off the ship to claim our luggage. Again, being told several times it was random. {{ bag service is fair - i found 2 out of 3 pieces of luggage and had to get help from pierside customer service. She was not helpful at all, and after 30 minutes of looking around, and filing a claim, i found my 3rd bag waaaaaay across the terminal in an area it wasn't supposed to be.. Not even close to where it should be}}.. Okay, now i have my bags and our private escort walks us to a private customs agent (while bypassing probably a 1.5 hour line) to present ourselves.. I present, at which point he calculates i owe $29 in duties. Okay, no problem.. I wasn't hiding anything, or being dishonest, so no big deal.. Now we go in a side room in which the second (collection) agent didn't understand why the first agent wasted his time for the small amount... While talking to that agent, i see the printout from the ship, with about 15 names on it and the $$ they spent on goods on the ship.. So it wasn't random at all.. Rc turns over the names of people that exceed allowances... I guess they're trying to get people in a lie on their cards? I was truthful, so in the long run, we got an express pass off the ship!!!!!! (off the ship in about 15 minutes outside of searching for my luggage) Overall, some of these minor issues are the same on all ships.. I was impressed with the flow of people on/off the ship and the overall ship itself!! Great time!! Read Less

I Took 2 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren for Spring break. 2 balcony rooms. This cruise fit our timeline - lots for kids to do. They loved the new abiss and the water things for them. I would not do this cruise alone. On board things are expensive. Great for what we wanted. I would prefer smaller ship if I travel alone. We got onboard and off again in record time! at Every out trip and in Fort Lauderdale! Service was great. Food is not as good as I remember from other trips. But then hard to serve that number of meals. Pasta with meat - could hardly find the meat... Other meals were good. Not great. Did not do private dining rooms. New beach at Labadie was really great. Food there was served nicely - lots of it. Wish someone could get the Haitians working the local market to not be so aggressive - may have looked more and spent more if we felt less pressure from them. Not our culture, but they make looking less fun. Read Less

We are a family of four with our daughters being 13 and 11. We have been on Voyager, Radiance & Freedom Class ships in the past and had been hesitant to try Oasis Class due to the sheer size and passenger volume. Boy are we ever glad that we gave this a chance!! Embarkation was the best we have ever found, Royal Caribbean definitely has this down to a science. We also took advantage of self-walk-off to disembark and avoided all line ups, we were off the ship and through customs in less than half an hour. Harmony of the Seas is a stunning ship and immaculately maintained. We had a D3 cabin on Deck 14; great design with good storage and a surprisingly spacious balcony; ( two chairs with footstools and a small table). The bathroom is well laid out with a spacious shower. The entertainment was outstanding; Grease and The Fine Line are not to be missed; booking reservations ahead of time guarantees your seats and we found arriving 30 minutes ahead of showtime gives you plenty of opportunity to select your seats. In terms of activities there is so much to do on this ship that we in fact spent our entire week on board; something that we have never done in the past. The water slides, Ultimate Abyss, zip line, carousel; the list goes on and on. There are also plenty of quiet spaces if you are looking for a spot to enjoy a coffee or drink with some peace and quiet. There are plenty of dining options and we did a mix of complimentary and for fee dining; we highly recommend Chops (as always) but the food in all venues was of excellent quality and selection. Despite there being over 6000 passengers on board we never had to wait for a table nor did we feel overwhelmed by crowds. Harmony of the Seas itself is beautiful; filled with amazing pieces of artwork and we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and you can tell that they have a sense of pride about being part of the team on board this ship. We would absolutely said Harmony again!! Read Less

I was planning a family vacation for my younger sister and elderly parents but I didn't know what to do. A cruise turned out to be a great idea. This is the world's largest ship and it has activities for my introverted family. The family was able to watch shows and dinner together. We also were able to do our own activities in the day time. I enjoyed the ping pong tournaments, the Abyss slide, the three water slides and the high quality performance shows. The only criticism I would have is that I thought there should have been more activities. For example, the volleyball contest got cancelled due to rain but was never reschedule. I also wished there was a tour of the boat or kitchen area. I didn't get that in this trip. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I don't think there could have been a better idea for the family vacation. Read Less

Our family of four, traveling with two adult kids ages 21 and 23, went on the Harmony of the Seas and we are still talking about our trip every day. I have cruised only a few times and this was our first RCL cruise. We picked the Harmony of the Seas because we wanted to ensure that the kids, now they they were legal to drink and go off on their own, had plenty to do. Wow, were we right on our choice! They made friends with 4 other kids their age( who live in South America!) and they are already talking of another trip this summer to meet. They were all so happy that there were many, MANY tears on departure day. That in itself made the cruise for us. The amenities and food were fantastic. There was always something to do yet we never had long lines to wait. This amazed me as there are so many people on the ship. We did comment that it would have been nice to have a pool in the solarium, but it was not a deal breaker. One night our kids decided not to have dinner with us...what??? So we made reservations at Wonderland at the last minute. One of the best dining experiences ever. If you are a picky eater, this may not be for you. If you want to try something new, different, and learn about pairing tastes and challenging your palate, what an awesome experience. Our waiter was fabulous and lots of fun. I did not expect to enjoy this as much because I felt like why pay more for a specialty dinner when we have so much already included. It was worth it because you wouldn't find that experience anywhere else. We were 4 people in one interior stateroom for 4. It was tight and had our budget allowed it, we would have preferred two rooms, but again, the kids kind of did the night shift and we did the day shift. It really wasn't much of an issue at all. Our room was 8443 and was fantastic because it wasn't on the aisle of the ship and was tucked at the front of the ship-no noise at all. It was under the solarium, over the Attic and casino and same floor as Park Cafe with the fantastic roast beef sandwiches!. Perfect location for us. It was a perfect vacation and only made us realize that life is too short so we must plan our next cruise! Read Less

I don't know how the Captain could get so many professional staff all in one place to do such a wonder job all the time. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the spa and pedicure she received as well. My hat is off to the entire crew. Thank you for such a great experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it had so much entertainment and activities to accommodate our family. My wife and I have two young children, ages 4 and 7, and there was plenty to do for all of us that there was no chance of getting bored. From the child size climbing wall and splash pad to the Abyss dry slide and zip line, we kept our days full of excitement. We also enjoyed the many different meal options which were included at no extra charge; we never had a bad meal. We also ate a couple dinners at the "not included" restaurants which were very nice as well. There was an abundance of options at all of the restaurants that we were all able to find something we liked. We had a couple days of rough seas that altered the itinerary a bit but the crew did an amazing job taking care of us and we never felt like we missed out on anything. Read Less

We choose Royal Caribbean because they have consistently great at producing a great vacation value. We are Diamond Club members and have never been disappointed. From the time we arrived everything ran like clockwork. We were checked in and on the ship within 15 minutes of walking into the terminal. The food was very good every place we ate especially at the Windjammer. Dinner service was excellent. We had waiters that always made sure everyone was satisfied with their entrée or they would replace it with another choice. One weak point of the cruise was the live entertainment. We found it a little boring. "Grease" was okay and so was "Columbus" . The ship itself was amazing. We went on the "All Access" tour behind the scenes. The technology on this ship is top notch. From the ability to plan your day from many kiosk stationed thru out the ship to the ability to stay in touch with the folks back home all day long. Read Less

Right from the start things were great. I was having trouble walking and they help me to the counter to check in. Food any time you wanted it. Activity design for everyone. The main dining room staff were the best. They made you feel like you mom was serving you and she hadn't seen you in months. Once you ordered your dink it was never empty. They would remember what you ordered and would have it ready when you sat down. The show were outstanding for the most part. The headliners should have be a opening act but that is just my opinion. They would have give away's. The party never stops, you will be the one that stops. There is just so much to do. The people that are on the the cruise with you are friendly as well. Everyone is there for the the same reason, to have fun and that is what will happen on this cruise line Read Less

We chose this cruise due to excellent timing and pricing all aligning to celebrate our anniversary and my sisters birthday. Harmony of the Seas, Wow, what a fantastic, amazing, fun filled ship. Our Boardwalk stateroom with balcony had excellent views of everything, aqua theater and the ocean...beautiful. Our stateroom attendant, Shella was over the top awesome and our wait staff, Viviana and Gene were the best. The food was 5 star and the ports were fun. The dining venues were excellent, the food was plentiful and the selection seemed endless. In our main dining room, The Grand, I had Cobia, Swordfish, Baised beef, Lobster and Buttered Cod all tender and delicious. Chops was outstanding, their 9 oz. filet was succulent, the sides were excellent a wonderful dining experience. The Fitness and Spa center was what you'd expect on the largest cruise ship in the world, top notch and plenty of machines. RCI is on top of their game with the best people, ships and ports. After this cruise, I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Best vacation ever!! Read Less

They have lots of shows to see including some game shows as well. The food was great with different options, service was amazing and ship was very clean and well maintained. Our two girls 7 and 10 loved the kids club and never wanted to leave. Our housekeeping lady went above and beyond and decorated our room with balloons for my wife's birthday. Our room was very nice and the bed was more comfortable then our king bed at home. We always felt very safe. The ship is huge and with 6400 guests on our cruise it never seemed crowed which we were surprised. Our kids had so much fun they want to know when we are going again. We will definetly will be going again with Royal Carribean in the near future! Read Less

This was my first cruise. For years I put it off because I thought that I would hate being on a ship for so long....I thought that I would be bored. Well was I ever wrong! My experience started off with me checking in. I can't believe how easy that was. I dropped off my bags, went through security, checked in with the front desk and walked on the ship. This took no longer than 20 - 30 minutes. I got on the ship and went right to my room where my bags were waiting for me. I was quickly introduced to my Stateroom attendant who gave me her business card and told me that I can contact her at any time if I needed anything. The TV in my room kept me up to date and let me know about all the upcoming activities. Please check your messages when you get into your room. I downloaded the iQ app and that allowed me to keep in touch with my friends as well as see all the activities I signed up for. I recommend that everyone download the app. One word of advice...If you have an iPhone the app works great. My friends and my wife that had android devices periodically had to reconnect to the app. To do so all you need to do is open the Internet browser, hit refresh, and then the app would reconnect. There is a $7.95 fee if you want to call or message other guests thru the app. It came in handy. No fee if you are only going to use it to track your activities. If you sign up for the Internet package I would suggest you take a picture of your Internet code and keep it on your phone. You will need it if you drop off the Wi-Fi signal. Over the 7-day period I had to input the code once (I have an iPhone). We had dinner at SILK a few times. If you don't have a reservation then I will suggest you make one. Sometimes the line-ups can be long and to avoid the wait, the reservation will help. On-board activities were good. I suggest zip lining and the abyss. If you are riding the Abyss pleassssseee remember to keep your legs straight. You'll understand why if you don't listen to this advice. Getting on and off the ship was great. It was fast and very easy. My advice is for you to always make time to eat breakfast before leaving the ship. I did not do any of the excursions but i did leave the ship at each port. Note: When to get to Cozumel, Mexico we went go to the market first - which cost a total of $8 USD (4 people - $2 each). After the Market we took a cab to the public beach which cost us $25 USD (total) and it is approximately a 20-minute cab ride. There is a restaurant there but please note that it is a small beach area that is really nice. It does get busy and seats were hard to come by. We bought food at the bar and they offered for us to keep our stuff in the bar while we went into the water. We did not bother. If you buy the dining package please ask each restaurant what you get. The package is worth it if you use it right. For $90 USD you get to go to 3 premium restaurants. My favourite was the Steak house. Make sure you go. Going back to the dining package.... at one restaurant I was told that I have $35 to spend and if I went over that I would have to pay the difference. At the Steak house I was told that I had $55 to spend. PLEASE TELL YOUR SERVER THAT YOU HAVE A DINING PACKAGE AND YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS INCLUDED. Every restaurant is different. If you have a chance to go to the Silent party please do. It was fun. That’s it. Hopefully this review helps P.s. I booked my next cruise using the ships next cruise service. They were great. We really enjoyed our trip aboard Harmony of the Seas. We had previously been on board Allure of The Seas, so we sort of knew what to expect with an Oasis Class Royal Caribbean ship, and this allowed us to have a feel for the things we wanted to do as well as to stay away from, such as the long lines in the main dining room that people have expressed disappointment about, etc. With all that said, I'll start with embarkation. As most have said, it was very smooth and efficient, and we were on board the boat in less than 20 minutes from the time we arrived at the terminal. The same can be said for the smooth disembarkation. It was a very easy and painless process as well. In terms of the ship, it's gorgeous, new and well maintained! I like the layout of it as well and it is full of amenities. The ship itself is a destination with so much to do, and we don't typically cruise for the ports, so we have to have a fun boat with lots of things to do for both adults and young kids. Regarding our cabin, it was an awesome family balcony cabin that could fit 6, and it was plenty big and well maintained. I can't say enough good things about our cabin steward, Roy. He was great, he anticipated our every need and even did the fun folded towel animals that my kids really loved. In addition to Roy, I would say that service around the boat was generally very good otherwise. For dining, we did the Ultimate Dining Package for the adults and allowed the kids to just eat pizza or whatever they were comfortable at Windjammer or Sorrento's, etc. We actually tried taking the kids our first night out to Wonderland, and they were bored to tears, so we didn't make this mistake again for the rest of the trip. We really liked Wonderland... very tasty food, a fun atmosphere with great service and very inventive menu. I would highly recommend this! We did Chops two nights. The first night, we were surprisingly, a little disappointed. My steak was only decent, and my wife's was overdone and the rest of the items we ordered were not bad but kind of disappointing after our first time around on Allure being so great. However, the second visit this trip to Chops was quite a bit better and were pretty happy with it. I wouldn't say awesome, but very good. We also liked Jamie's Italian... good food and plenty of it. I was very happy with this option. And we also liked Sabor, which we only went to for lunch but had a very good meal there. The service wasn't so great, but the food was. We also did Izumi and felt that the sushi was good. Again, not great, but very good. Probably the biggest disappointment for us was 150 Central Park. I was expecting really good food, and it was just ok, at best. I was also frustrated that the Izumi Hibachi Experience was not part of the Ultimate Dining Package. I would think that sushi would be more expensive than the food served there, so we didn't take part in that, since we'd paid the money for the specialty dining each night. We only experienced the main dining room (Silk) on the second formal night and had the lobster, which was good. The rest of that meal was ok, but not bad. In terms of the other free options onboard, we found the Windjammer to be pretty good. Mini Bites, Central Park Cafe, The Promenade Cafe, Sorrento's & Boardwalk Dog House were all ok, not great, but decent and good for a quick bite to eat and great for feeding the kids. As mentioned above, we had 3 young boys on our trip... ages, 9, 7 & 5. And they all had a great time and loved the kids club as they had before on Allure. In terms of ports, we don't typically do excursions, so we really enjoyed Labadee that gave us the beach experience we wanted. On Jamaica and Cozumel, we just walked around the little shops off the pier and they were fine. I must say that I was really impressed with the Fine Line Aqua Show and Hideaway Heist water shows. Grease was well done, but I'm not into all of that. However, my wife enjoyed it. We also liked the headliner, who was sort of a juggler/comedian. In terms of disappointments, I would say they were few and far between. For example, on Allure, they piped in all of the Dreamworks movies on a constant basis, and this was great for our kids to watch when we would be getting ready or later in the evening, etc. So I hate to complain about TV on a cruise, but this wasn't the case on this ship and there wasn't much to watch otherwise. With the elevators, the lines were kind of annoying but honestly not as bad as what most have said. I think that I'd like to see some newer ports sprinkled in to the Oasis Class options. We also booked our next cruise for the Symphony of The Seas with the NextCruise group and felt the pricing was good. However, we were disappointed that Royal Caribbean has changed its policy that you can no longer cancel and rebook in the future without losing your deposit. All in all, it was a great trip and we are very much looking forward to going in two more years. Read Less

We traveled from California to Florida a couple days early to visit my brother in law and his wife, then drove with them to Port Everglades. This was our first time doing a drive to port, and it was a breeze getting in and out. Once at the pier, we got in the embarkation line for our Crown & Anchor category, and were through the process in short order. We bypassed the photographers and headed up to the upper level to board the ship. Once on board, we had some time to wander around - cabins were not ready until 1 PM - and ended up in the Windjammer to sample the wide variety of foods available there. Plenty of choices; we were all able to find at least a plateful (or two) to our liking. When the doors to the cabin areas opened up, we entered the hallway and found our cabin quickly. One note on deck 7 on Harmony: if you reach this deck by the AFT stairways or elevators, you MUST be sure to be on the correct side of the ship for your cabin, since you can't cross over; the signage for the Boardwalk area is in this space so the deck doesn't connect across. I'll see if I can find a picture that shows this in our collection. We liked the layout of the cabin (7602) and the extra space on the balcony - we were in the forward bump out. We did have a little issue where the partition door opened up due to wind one day, but housekeeping was there in a jiffy to close it back up. Achmad, our steward, came by to introduce himself. We saw him every day and he was able to take care of our requests (wine glasses and robes) quickly. He did leave us towel animals just about daily, which we had missed on some other recent cruises. On our first night we were able to dine at Chops; in fact it was fairly quiet there. Later in the week it looked packed - the suggestion from the hostess to take advantage of the first night was spot on. Food and service here were outstanding. When we booked this cruise, we weren't even thinking of the dates. As it turned out, our first sea day was Super Bowl Sunday! The only negative on this was the fact that it was also the first formal night. We really wanted to watch the game, so we passed on dressing up for dinner and instead sat out in the Aqua Theater, where the game was shown on the two big screens there. The game was also shown in several other locations on the ship, like the Boot & Bonnet Pub and, I believe, Studio B. Out by the Aqua Theater, crew had set up a huge buffet with tailgating-like food and a cool ice sculpture in the shape of the Lombardi trophy. From then on we ate in one of the main dining rooms (Icon on deck 3 or Grande on deck 4.) Since we were using My Time Dining, we chose to walk up and take a chance vs. making reservations. We're all willing to share a table if need be! As it turned out, that was only necessary the first time, and in fact they sent us with a few others from the Grande down to Icon, where a large group hadn't shown up for their reservation.Service there was a little off, but I think that's because we came in toward the middle of the fixed time seating. The waiter and his assistant seemed a little scattered as they worked to serve the table and others nearby. The rest of the week we were able to get a table in the Grande dining room, and service was more consistent. A big shout out to Vince and his assistant (whose name I would butcher if I tried to spell it, of course I didn't write it down!) for their hard work and dedication. We enjoyed most of the shows - two different shows in the Aqua Theater, the ice show (1887) in Studio B, and Grease in the main theater were all well done. Honestly we were disappointed in "Columbus, The Musical!" - felt more like a high school production, albeit with some well done staging - and the headliner (comedy juggler) was kind of off-paced. The comedy shows were very well done, though: Simeon, the emcee, was fantastic! The guest comic was very good as well, but we heard his first show was a little off. We booked our own excursions for Jamaica and Cozumel, so can't comment on the quality of those offered by RCCL. Debarkation and embarkation in the ports was handled smoothly. On sea days, the poolside bar service was a little spotty, but I can walk a few yards and get my drinks at the bar. If you get to know the bartenders you can be sure they will take care of you! We never went to the Windjammer for lunch, but instead picked up snacks from Mini Bites by the sports court if we felt like a midday snack. Note that the writeup for Mini Bites indicates that the food here is indeed "mini", but what we found were burgers and fries, hot dogs. nacho chips, chili and the like. There were some small dessert items available as well. We did try all the slides - Ultimate Abyss and the Perfect Storm water slides. All lots of fun, and many times the lines were non-existent. Overall we had a wonderful time, and will most likely sail with RCCL again. We've been sailing on their larger (and larger, and LARGER) ships of late, but may choose to try one of the "mid size" ships in the future. Being on a ship with 6000+ people can get a little overwhelming. Events on the Royal Promenade could be downright mobbed. That said, it was funny how we'd seem to run into the same people day after day! Read Less
