Inter generational cruise to celebrate a 40th birthday. Booking direct with Royal Caribbean from Australia difficult as it was impossible to speak to the same person twice and necessary to keep punching phone numbers to get to the right area. Call centre staff less than knowledgeable and benefits of a suite were not explained until we boarded, which required cancellation of paid packages. Excellent for children. Royal Genie, who was provided with our stateroom, materialised from his lamp at appropriate times and was invaluable at boarding, disembarkation and at times in between. Our cruise experience would not have been as good without his magic. Our cabin attendant was a lovely and helpful person who worked long hours keeping our stateroom in immaculate condition. The facilities in the Children’s club were excellent.. The children wanted to spend most of their time there. There was a huge variety of food in the Windjammer, to provide for all tastes. The shows were of very high quality, with professional actors. Negatives are constant noisy music everywhere. Difficult to find a quiet place. Shore excursions were chaotic. Had to wait for too long milling around in the hot sun ( up to an hour). Read Less

Largest ship sailing the Eastern Caribbean this summer. We chose it for the activities provided for our teenage granddaughters. They are seasoned cruisers and expect non-stop fun. You get that, and more on this ship. Food in Main Dining Room is excellent and varied. We have a vegetarian granddaughter who always has problems finding food but NEVER once this past week. We shipped all the specialty restaurants--way too overpriced. Windjammer is a zoo--over 6500 people wandering around the food stations with no clue what they want. So annoying! We did lunch in the Park Cafe. Best hidden secret on the ship. Also, Solarium Grill--great choices for lunch. Cabins are roomy. We overlooked the Promenade. Wrong choice if you want to go to bed before 11. On Air karaoke is rocking and loud. Lots of activities daily but many had up-charges. Drinks are extremely expensive. A martini is $16. Good thing we get comped in the Casino. The odds on Video Poker were horrible but we managed to hit a Royal Flush and a few 4 Aces with Kickers, so we came out ahead. Nice modern slot machines if you play those. Table games are pricey but lower during the day. We cleaned up on $5.00 Three-card Poker. Took the money and ran!! Had a great week overall. Stayed on the ship in the Bahamas(been there, done that) and in St. Thomas (not up for seeing the devastation from Maria)but had a wonderful day in St. Kitts. Georgous island. Read Less

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean many times and have always had good experiences! My husband and I were traveling with my parents (age 70) and 18 year old son and his 17 year old friend. We had no trouble getting on or off the ship! It was very easy and organized (especially for people who have cruised before). Everyone was able to find things to do that suited their interests and needs. The ship was beautiful and did not disappoint! We had previously sailed on the Oasis of the Seas several years ago, so we mostly knew our way around and were prepared for the large crowds. However, this cruise seemed more crowded than our Oasis experience for some reason. (You will always encounter rude and inconsiderate people when you are traveling with thousands.) We had a balcony cabin on the 12th floor and we were impressed with the amount of room we had and the storage space. There wasn't a thing I would have changed about the cabin. We went to Jamie's Italian restaurant and it was great! We had a wonderful waiter who helped us decide what to order. It was well worth the price and the food was delicious and plentiful! We also went to Izumi and got a last minute reservation. It was good, but more expensive than Jamie's and not as good in my opinion. Several menu items were at additional cost over the $45 extra you paid per person. We went to Johnny Rockets for lunch and the burgers were delicious!!!! However, the shakes cost extra and the cost was more than I expected per person (I had thought the website said it was like $6-7 per person, but it ended up being over $11 per person???) We went to see Grease and it was really good! We got there early and got great seats for our family. Everyone enjoyed! We also went to the Columbus show and it was cute, but a little goofy. Most of use enjoyed it and laughed quite a bit. My parents and kids went to the 1887 ice skating show and loved it (wish I would have gone)! We went to the Jazz club several night and enjoyed the music and atmosphere. We also went to the Promenade and saw a few of the dance parties. They were fun! The crew was amazing and patient! I can honestly say that I did not meet an unfriendly or unhelpful crew member all week!! I loved seeing Captain Johnny ride around on his scooter or motorcycle and just walking around greeting guests at the Windjammer! Everyone there seemed to enjoy their jobs! We went to Pearl Island in Nassau and had a nice, relaxing day! We did the snorkeling there and the staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I have been snorkeling in the Caribbean several times and I can say that I saw the prettiest and the most variety of fish than I have ever seen at one place! I would recommend this tour! It's a small island, but it did not feel crowded and everyone had a place to sit and something to do. The lunch provided was not great, but ok. On St. Thomas, we went on a 3 hour tour and visited the mountain top overlook. We had wanted to go to Magen's Bay, but that excursion was sold out. We contemplated doing it on our own because we have been there before and loved it, but opted for the tour instead. We enjoyed the tour and shopping at the Mountaintop shop. It's a bit of a "tourist trap", but the view is amazing and they have some nice souvenirs and awesome banana daiquiris (that were expensive, but tasty)! On St. Kitts, we wanted to go on the 2 hour tour since we had never visited the island, however, that tour was booked. We ended up getting off the ship and going to the shops that were right off the ship and then getting a tour driver to take us on a private tour. We only wanted our tour to last about an hour or a little more because we were nervous about getting back on time. Our driver, Nida, was awesome! She took us to see the main attractions and to the overlook where you can see the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean sea on the other side of the land. She only charged us $10 per person. My suggestions to people traveling on this ship is to try to book as many activities online before your cruise as you can! We waited a little too late, but were still able to do most of the things we wanted with a little work and patience. We had a great crew member who helped us book shows on the day we boarded. I will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again, but will most likely choose a smaller ship. We have always enjoyed RC, but the large ship was a little crowded for me (or maybe my tolerance for inconsiderate people has lessened as I get older). haha Read Less

In the past cruises, the bartenders are usually the most customer friendly, but this time it was all about the dining servers. Jefferson and Nilesh were absolutely superb! Every night they gave us an above beyond experience and made us feel so special. They sang happy birthday to my cousin every single night! I looked forward to dinner every single night. The one night we went to Wonderland was also one of the experiences that stood out. The server was also great (although I can’t remember his name) and gave us the “wonderland” experience. Overall the biggest downside was the lack of a pool in the solarium. I look forward to going to the solarium every single cruise because it’s an adults only section. I would not go on the Harmony again because of this. That being said, it was one of the funniest cruises I’ve ever been on. The nightlife was awesome and DJ Tony Scott did a great job of mixing up all genres of music every single night. And yes we went out every single night! The shows were great. The Fine Line was okay. But the Grease and 1887 were very entertaining. Also the comedians were hilarious! I look forward to sailing again with Royal very soon! Read Less

Embarkation/Disembarkation proved to be truly seamless in their operations.HOTS was immaculate. Dining was divine. Our balcony cabin on the 11th floor was cozy and the square footage just enough for us. On the other hand, Guest Services. GS is just that. A Service Team. GS must prove to be better when assisting passengers. We are there to enjoy our sabbatical. For many, this happens once a year. Some of us have planned this event for over a year or so. When we are in need of aide, please assist. And do so with all the sincerity you can muster. Large ships can be overwhelming and especially for the young, the challenged and the more mature. Shop curators likewise could use some quality customer service training. Assist. Be helpful. Yes, I love the years of Royal's consistent top-shelf level of superior quality customer service and because of this will most assuredly cruise again with them...on a different ship. We choose this cruise for the ship! The ship is absolutely beautiful. There is everything on it that anyone could imagine ..from young to old. We went with a group of almost 50 people, from the ages of 18 to 68. There are activities for everyone. The restaurants are lovely. My complaint about cruise : I believe there is a lack of shore to ship communication. For example I have a large group .. for dining I had set seating arrangements and times that were submitted to the cruise line. Well I went to check in the dining room and my group was scattered all over and some of the times were wrong! How can this happen I have been on 6 cruises as group leader and this was the worse dinner mess up. I will say the dining room staff was wonderful and the manager did fix the problem. Not only was the dining room reservations a mess ..so were the specialty restaurants. Yes the fixed them all but I had to spend my first day on the cruise ship fixing all the problems. Good thing I checked all reservations previously made. One other complaint is something is seriously wrong with their software...or and the employees do not know how to use the computers. For example the photos..terrible..You cannot find your photos because they are not assigned to you. Random people are in your photo page. You room key has your room on it but not the floor...every time You use it they ask the floor number ok I understand for privacy but somewhere in the software should be a place for the floor that shows up on their computer when you use the card. Oh the card key works at some places but not all...computer issues! Very frustrating for the workers and guests. Bionic bar great idea! Fun! If the software and computer worked properly, and made the correct drinks. Royal Caribbean website needs help..software problem! So you have an absolutely beautiful ship FANTASTIC crew/workers and a computer system that does not live up to expectations. Read Less

We chose this cruise line because we thought it would be great for our teenage daughters. It was a not a great experience for our kids. They tried every night to meet and mingle with other kids. They didn't make one friend the entire week and they both tried so hard. It was so disappointing. The people in charge of the kids program could do so much more to encourage kids to mingle with each other. The ship itself is beautiful but your definitely knew how many people were on board. There was often no room to get into the pools and definitely no pool chairs available unless you got to the pool very early. I'm very surprised that the adult only area "Solarium" doesn't have a pool. It has a splash pad. What's up with that? It was our first cruise so we were very excited to experience it. We'll definitely cruise again but will try another cruise line that is more kid oriented. Read Less

We had not sailed on a giant ship previously, so this was a new experience for us. Yes, the ship is bigger, which means more walking and larger crowds at the buffet, but the larger ship means they are able to put on more professional entertainment and a larger assortment of other activities. We were a party of 12, and all of our cabins were very nicely designed and maintained by the cabin staff. Our dining room staff was beyond excellent, even to the point of anticipating our requests. The shows, Grease and Columbus were very well done. As I mentioned, the larger ship gives them the ability to do more that they could on a smaller ship. The RoyalIQ app needs lots of work and those that had it complained endlessly about the WiFi. When you are charging as much as cruise lines do, you deserve better quality of service. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and would not hesitate to book on this ship again. Read Less

Just amazing! I loved everything about the ship and the service on it! It never got boring. All of the food was great and the service at the restaurants was awesome! 100% recommend this ship. There is a huge variety of stuff to do for people of all ages. The entertainment and shows were excellent as well. It was almost disappointing to get off the boat at the ports! If you are a family, a senior citizen, or a couple, this trip is good for anyone. There are many great restaurants to choose from and many of them are complimentary. I recommend Sabor, the Mexican restaurant because the food and service are excellent. The fun just never stops on this cruise ship. There are many activities that can bring peace or excitement for all ages such as Central Park and the boardwalk. The only thing I would give as a down is to make the cruise longer because I just couldn’t get enough! Just amazing. Read Less

Was on deck 14 this time, but previously on 8 and prefer 8 as we like to people watch and we were able to see the aqua theater better. Had my time dining and we did not care for that. We went to windjammer for quite a few dinners. Service was great in every area. Shows were wonderful except Columbus, no one cared for that. The ports were all good. We did the excursions on our own as RC is a little pricey. Not enough time at The Bahamas especially since it was a Sunday and arrived at 7am till 2pm. We got the photo package and always just gave the same room number so we ended up with about 350 pictures. Overall a great time was had by all. Read Less

the Harmony was run like a fine tuned violin. Embarkation and Disembarkation were so smooth and easy ....the ship was clean, the cabin was large and the view from my balcony was fabulous, whether a sea view or the view of the ports of call. Dining was a pleasure in all BUT Jamie Oliver's restaurant, where the server loomed over our table, interrupted our questions, and walked away when asked questions....our meal was rushed and the food was nothing like what it was described on the menu ... the truffle pasta was truffle deficient and I could not taste anything but cream sauce, it was barely warm, our other meals were only slightly warm, my grandsons filet was to be med rare and was well done and arrived when the rest of us were almost done our meal .... extremely disappointing . ALL other places onboard that we ate at were all 5 star meals, and 5 star service! My grandsons had a blast doing everything that they were of age to do (12 and 14) while my son and daughter in law and I enjoyed the casino and the trivia challenges and overall loved just cruising on Harmony. Ports of Call were run smoothly and efficiently and great fun. I would definitely return to Harmony of the Seas Eastern Caribbean Cruise. Hopefully I will be back again. Our married children wanted to take a Family cruise. They chose the Harmony. I did not want to go on that ship. We had been on the Oasis and the Allure, and this was not my choice. They were crowded, especially in the buffet. We did go the second week in July. Lots of families and children. The whole family had a wonderful week. The Harmony had increased the size of their buffet, and made more seating than was available on the Oasis. We actually had more dinners in the buffet because the food was so good up there. Our grandson who is 9 years old wanted to be in the Kids Camp all the time. He loved it there, and the staff was wonderful. They watched the children and gave the parents the option of letting the children sign themselves out, or only parent or guardians can sign the children in and out of camp.We felt safe leaving him there. The biggest ship at the time was the main reason for choosing the Harmony. The quality of the food has decreased in the dinning rooms and the quality of the room service has decreased as well form other cruises that I have taken. Some shows are just great and others are just bad. The ship is a hot ship in the summer specially in the cabins. Some people carry their own electric fans for the staterooms. The best thing was that the ship is the most stable ship I've seen. Most of the time you don't notice the movement at all. Cabins are smaller that in other comparable ships. Overall be ready to spend USD$1,000 more for a family of 4 for food, internet, drinks and mandatory tips and gratuity at the ship. Be ready to spend $1,000 more for 3 shore excursions with your family. Expect to spend $10,000 for your overall vacation, including airfare, ship, excursions, food and drinks, internet, etc. for a family of 4 for your 7 days per year life allowance. Read Less

We chose the Harmony because we wanted to experience the new amenities. We had a Boardwalk balcony that came with a soda package. Room was great but you can sometimes hear revelers at night, luckily not every night. MDR was great, however only “good” by RCI high standards. We didn’t try any of the specialty dining it was cost prohibitive for our group. We still love the diversity of cuisine in the Windjammer. The addition of the hand washing stations outside the Windjammer was a thoughtful welcome addition. Service was absolutely awesome. Everyone went out of their way to anticipate our every need. Entertainment and activities were fun and diverse. We went with a group whose ages ranged from 14-92 years old and everyone had an awesome time. The teen lounge was the primary reason I only saw my daughter for dinner and pictures. Shore excursions were plentiful. A cab ride from Falmouth to Montego Bay was a bargain. Overall, this was my third sailing on an Oasis class ship and it was the most fun. The waterslides and Abyss tipped the scale in awesomeness. Read Less

I loved all of the onboard activities this ship had to offer. during my 7-day cruise, I still felt like there were things I missed out on. When I wanted to relax, there were several opportunities to do so. The solarium was a great place to recharge from a long day of activities. The only miss is to add a small pool to the solarium. The kid's clubs were great! my 5-year-old loved all of the activities they had planned. I like how they slipt up the kids groups into small groups close in age. Even though my 2-year-old (2 months from being 3) was not old enough to go into the 3-5 year old club, they let him trial the club and eventually let him in (he has been potty trained from 17 months, and is very vocal and good at playing with older kids). He also liked going in an playing with the other kids. The cabins were really clean, and the layout was well thought out. we stayed on an inside cabin. My kids slept so well because of how dark the cabins were. I liked the build in night light that stayed on when all the other lights were out. I also liked all of the charge ports and storage solutions. The food was excellent. I like the buffet (windjammer) the best. The food was always fresh, and tasted great. I liked how you had to wash our hands to get into the buffet area, it makes everything a lot cleaner. The water slides were a blast. If you go around 5pm there wasn't as big of a line. The flo rider was fun, but on my trip one of them wasn't working properly, so the lines were longer. Overall I loved the ship and would come back again. Read Less

We had been wanting to go on a cruise for years and just never took the plunge until this year. Wow! I wish we had decided to go on one years ago. We were on the Harmony of the Seas and there were so many activities. It's true when people tell you it is a floating resort. There is as little or as much to do as you want. There were four of us, myself, my husband and our two kids (ages 19 and 17) and every one of us had a great time. We took the cheaper route and all stayed on one room. To be honest, I was a little nervous about all of us being crammed in one room, but surprisingly it wasn't that bad. We had a king bed and the kids were on a trundle bed (couch converted to this). The shower was a decent size. The only time it was crowded was at bedtime, but we figured we could put up with that because we were hardly ever in the room. Our cabin steward, Antonio, was the best. He cleaned up our room twice a day-we never had to ask for anything. We always had fresh towels and made up beds. Every night my kids could not wait to get to the room to see what towel animal was waiting on the bed and Antonio never ceased to amaze us. He was so personable and would take the time to ask us how our dinner or excursion was or where we were headed for the day. We ate in the Silk dining room for dinner every night and the food was delicious. We had the most amazing head waiter-Karim and our assistant waiter Anthony was also wonderful. By day 3 these men knew exactly what we wanted to drink and even would bring my son a side dish of ranch with every meal. Karim was so personable and would laugh and joke with us, yet always maintained such a professional demeanor. At the end of every meal Karim would let us know the dress code for the next day and disembarkation information. We never had to ask for refills and Karim would give us detailed explanations of what meals were that we were unsure of. The excursions were out of this world. In Haiti we just relaxed on their private island. When we got off the boat we found a nice little cove, got beach chairs and a mat to float on. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed just lying around and eating the buffet the ship provided. In Jamaica we did a private excursion with Patrice Bailey's tours and it was sensational. We went to Blue Hole and got to jump off the cliffs into the most amazing blue water. We stopped to eat lunch at a local place called Scotchies and had excellent Jamaican Jerk chicken and some local sides. Our guide stopped several times to get us some local produce and we had the sweetest mangos and a fruit called sweet sop. We never once felt unsafe. Our guide Maurice was so kind and really knew the history of the island. In Cozumel we did a Royal Caribbean excursion which was dune buggies and snorkeling. The dune buggies were so much fun as was the snorkeling although we all agreed that a longer time snorkeling would have been better. We would have rather snorkeled longer and skipped the 30 minute stop to Barricuda Beach which was obviously just to boost the local economy. Entertainment on the boat was pretty good. We saw Grease, an ice skating show, comedians and an a cappella show. Each one was a good show. We also did an Escape the Room on the boat which was a blast. We were in a group of 12 and yes, we did escape! There was always music whether it was in a bar or out on a main deck. Some of the singers left a lot to be desired, but the general vibe was upbeat on the boat so it didn't really matter if not everyone could sing. There were always photographers taking random photos or getting photos of us before or after dinners. We had such a great time that we booked a cruise for next summer before we got off the boat. Different ports and a different ship, but still Royal Caribbean. If you are wavering about going on a cruise-do it. You won't regret it! Read Less

Every night we ate in the dinning hall at the same table with our family. We had the greatest wait staff you could imaging. My daughter (23 years old) needs a gluten free diet. The staff met with her every day to discuss what would be available to eat each night. When we ate off the ship they made sure someone would be available to assist her on land with gluten free food. We had 3 generations on this cruise, so chose Harmony for the variety of activities. We all loved our individual experiences. We had a genie who took care of everything and anything for us. He exceeded our expectations and then some. We had a 2 bedroom suite for the family. It was nicely appointed. We especially liked the large deck. We had room service deliver every morning which we ate around the 6 person table on the deck. The food was mostly excellent. We especially enjoyed dining at the 501 restaurant. Scrumptious! I only took 1 excursion, a snorkeling trip out of Cozumel, Mexico. I did not feel like safety was up to U.S. standards. No discussion of location of life vests. No buddy system in the water. Our 15 year old enjoyed every minute. He made several friends and they seemed to have a blast together. Think he tried every activity available. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Best vacation ever! Read Less

The restaurants , the Windjammer the Mast Bar, the Spa, shops, excursions could not of been better I have a broken ankle. I was treated with special care. I was sad I personally could not do any excursions. My time on ship while in port was over beyond Nicasio F, windjammer, Louise bartender at the Mast Bar, our Room Stewart John is the reasons I love RC. A walk through Central Park, to the Boardwalk, the headliners, was a big WOW to me. It is very endearing the above mentioned staff Rene breed our name walking on the deck Louise said Hi Helen, where is Daniel? Every need was met, Captain Johnny loved to watch his videos. Then Dru. I was exited to see him. He was the cruise director on the Athemn of the Seas. Saving money for 2020. Read Less

I was looking for a Family Cruise with a lot of Onboarding Options... when I saw the Harmony of the Seas in the Royal Caribbean Web Site, I didn't doubt to choose this Ship for our annual Vacations. I decided to take one Suite for my family of 4, and it was very confortable and with enough space for everything. After having more than 5 Cruises experience, without any doubt, this was was the Best of the Best!!!. Now, beyond the Ship, and the overall Entertainment, I might say, the best was the warm service of the people supporting us during our cruise experience. Specially, O'Neil, our Cabin Assistance!!!, Quodes for him!!!. The food, was also excellent, and I do see a bigger selection of healthy food versus previous experiences. A good change was the way to do Inmigration at the end of the cruise, very well planned and much quicker than the past. Read Less

I chose to cruise in order to de-stress, relax and enjoy a family vacation. Our experience on board Harmony of the Seas was truly that of royalty. It began at check-in. We were checked-in and on the ship by 10:30a.m. Our rooms were ready prior to the designated time of 1pm. The thermal suite package from Vitality Spa provided daily pampering services. We also enjoyed the early seating at all of the entertainment and activities we attended; therefore, we always had great seats. There was so much to do that you could never get bored. The ports (Labadee, Jamaica, and Mexico) offered a nice getaway from the cruise ship and good deals for shopping. No worries at all. Received royal treatment from room attendant, dining attendant, guest services, and all of the other staff that we were in contact with. We have booked next year's cruise and has started the countdown all over again for another amazing vacation. Read Less
