For such a big ship, it never felt crowded. Everything, from the delicious food, to the stupendous entertainment (don’t miss the Fine Line at the Aqua Theater and the late night Comedy show), the cleanliness and the superb service, we felt our week was simply magical. The kids (16,15 & 13) told us it was the best week of their lives! They made so many new friends, and were never bored because there were so many activities to choose from. My husband and I had the deluxe beverage package, and thought it was absolutely worth it, down to the last penny! My parents had a fabulous time playing in the casino, and let’s not forget about Bingo! Our cabin (Ocean balcony) was perfect, and even though we didn’t have connecting rooms, our cabin steward was able to open the balconies, and because we had three cabins, ended up with one quite spacious one, just fantastic! We loved the Harmony of the Seas so much, we’re already planning our next cruise on her. Read Less

This was my 13th cruise overall, 7th with Royal Caribbean, 3rd in a row on an Oasis-class vessel. Once again Royal Caribbean delivered another unforgettable cruising experience. The sports staff was great and hence my presence on the sports deck was frequent. The food was fantastic especially at Chops Grille. We only ate at one specialty restaurant. The service in the main dining room was good except for the first day when it was slow. I can understand why that happened. The waiting staff was attentive in the main dining room and in Chops, not so much in the Windjammer. The musicians and comedians were very entertaining. The new attractions such as the perfect storm (water slides) and the ultimate abyss (big dry slide) were nice additions. My biggest criticism is that because I was 20 and not traveling with a significant other, it was difficult for my friend and I to meet people our age. Royal Caribbean needs to put on events for ages 18-20 that are actually hosted. I’m not sure of the legality of this, but I would urge them to consider a policy change that allows 18-20 year olds to consume alcoholic beverages with restrictions in international waters. I just felt left out of the adult crowds for it. My last suggestion would be to dumb down the casino some. I wanted to gamble (knowing I would lose but it’s fun) but I didn’t do much because I wasn’t entirely sure how all the games worked. They should have like pamphlets or something with game rules and instructions for new gamblers. Doesn’t everyone start at the bottom? All in all, it was another fantastic vacation and I look forward to sailing again with Royal Caribbean in the next 1-3 years. Read Less

I have cruised on Royal Caribbean for a number of years now and they are the only cruise line I will go on. The restaurants and food are always great and there has never been a problem on any of the ships. The staff is always very friendly and no matter what time of day you see any of them they always greet you with a smile and are willing to help with whatever you need. The ship is always kept clean and the cleaning crew makes sure to stay on top of that during the entire cruise. The overall experience was great and the group is already talking about planning the next one. I would highly recommend this ship or any of the others that are in the Oasis category. It's hard to believe you are on a ship when you're out to sea and walking around enjoying everything that the ships have to offer. Read Less

We chose this cruise to go with our grandchildren on their first cruise. Having sailed on the Oasis a few years ago, we recommended going on this one because of all the features and entertainment on board. We were not disappointed. Ship - Fantastic. We never really felt crowded except for maybe the pool areas on sea days. Cabin- We had outside balcony cabins on Deck 9 and they worked out very nice. We have cruised over 12 times before on various lines and this was the first one that we had with two closets. We had lots of room for storage. The room steward, Keegan Rigby was very attentive and took care of all our needs. We did find it unusual that we had to request robes and bags to send our laundry out. It seems that the policy of RC now is to provide some amenities on an as needed basis. Dining - We ate at the main dining room every night but one and the food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Mukesh Harhangi was FANTASTIC along with his assistant, Prasenjit Das. Mukesh paid special attention to the kids and made every dinner very enjoyable and fun. We ate at the Hibachi at Izumi one night and the chef was very entertaining and the kids especially loved it since they never experienced it before. The only problem we encountered and it was no fault of the waiters is the process that they have in place for drink orders at dinner. The waiters took the orders and then a drink person brought out the drinks. The problem was that he did not know who got what drink. Ordinarily that is not a problem but when three people all order different types of red or white wine, we had to taste them to see who got which one. I guess they are saving on a sommelier but there is a downside to that process. Entertainment - All of the entertainment was top notch along with the activities around the ship. We were not bored. The service was excellent throughout. The cruise package we purchased included a specialty dinner for two up to $80. If you get something similar, BE SURE to speak directly with Guest Services at the beginning of the cruise as to how to use it. We called them at the beginning of the cruise and we were informed that the package was part of the credits that we also received on our account. We later found out on the last day or so that was incorrect. After explaining all of this to a manager at guest services, he made it right, however, this is something that RC should address with the guests up front to prevent any confusion. All in all, it is a great ship, lots of things to do, and the service and food were excellent. Read Less

We loved our sailing last week on Harmony of the Seas. We booked over a year ago to make sure we got the boardwalk balcony room we wanted. Service, the shows and entertainment and all the activities on the ship were outstanding. We can't wait to book our next cruise with Royal Caribbean again. Ports Labadee caught us by surprise. Didn't expect to have that much fun there. Zipline is a must do and the coaster as well. Only downside is we wished we had more time to spend there. Falmouth was fun, not our personal favorite, we spent our time shopping around the port and eating lunch at Margaritaville and had a great time. Cozumel was the one we looked forward to the most. Our fun was held in check by the weather and had rain almost the entire day. Still managed to have a good time and spent some time shopping and eating in port. Read Less

We chose Royal Caribbean after our first incredible experience with the cruise line. In all honesty, I hope to sail with this line again as the service, staff and excursions really make the experience special and unforgettable. The number of activities aboard the Harmony of the Seas ensure that there is never (and I mean NEVER) a dull moment. There are so many activities for all ages and we felt constantly entertained. The quality of the food is outstanding and there are so many options to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. The staff works around the clock and still maintains a positive and helpful attitude. Lastly, the excursion offered by the cruise line truly make the experience special. From the Mayan ruins in Mexico to the sunny beaches of Bermuda, I feel taken care of and like I'm experiencing the best that each port has to offer. Seriously, you won't be disappointed - I highly recommend Royal Caribbean. Read Less

Plenty to do for the kiddos, zip linning, golf, ice skating, water slides, pools, basketball court, the Abyss, science lab, disco My 2 teenage kids really enjoyed teen club. Zip linning, golf, entertainment shows were very nice. I was impressed with the amount of work and man power it takes to run this ship! The decor, variety in stores, dinning options, plentynto do at night. Cleaning crew are everywhere. Bathrooms are so clean. Can't believe how smooth every goes especially during dinner time. They have a system like I never seen before. No waiting in line, and if you have a large group they will arrange tables to sit together. Customer service was very cordial. One of our excursions got canceled die to weather and we were reimburse without any issues in less than 4 hours. Read Less

No lines 10 minutes max both boarding and unboarding Staff on this ship were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my entire cruise shore excursion were great traveled with family of 10. And had a great time. One bad review for entire cruise. Is the amount of people way to many as there were not enough chairs at the pool to accommodate this many people . Windjammer needs better bathroom locations. Shore excursions were awesome this is my 2nd visit to Haiti this was my favorite . Snorkeled and enjoyed the ocean side of island In Mexico did the secret river unbelievable Ricardo was our guide words can not describe the beauty . Could have had more time on return to ferry to shop. In Jamaica went horseback riding what a great experience in the ocean with the horses. This ship ‘the Harmony of the seas’ is world class. The food, the entertainment, the service even the housekeeping! Shout out to our housekeeper from Nicaragua on Deck 8! Deck 8 room 698. Everyday on board we were amazed, there is so much going on. I saw the Grease show, comedy show, ice skating ‘a journey in time’ and the Christopher Columbus Show. The ice skating show left me in tears, the performers were nothing short of amazing. The food was amazing, each cut of meat was cooked to perfection, the sugary desserts were a perfect balance, every dish was made with love and care and most importantly our hygiene and safety was PARAMOUNT on and off the ship. The name ‘Royal Caribbean’ is ‘fitting’ everyday we and our fellow guests were treated like royalty. Every need was met ‘no matter how unreasonable’ and at every turn we were greeted with a smile by the crew. I will never forget this cruise and cruise line. We choose this cruise based on the boat and ports. The Harmony exceeded most expectations, see room review below. The variety of entertainment was excellent. The food choices were endless although windjammer could be a bit crazy at times. The only speciality dining we did was lunch at Jamie Oliver's and Johnny rockets. Jaimie Oliver was excellent, while Johnny Rocket's was just ok. I tried the zip lining and flow rider, both were really fun. The variety of shows was good. Grease and Columbus the musical were very entertaining. The Fine LIne dive show was unlike any show I have seen on a cruise ship. The headliner was ok, could of been better. I highly recommend reserving your shows before you cruise, it was made life much easier. As for port of calls, in St. Martin we did a simple beach excursion through Royal Caribbean which was very relaxing. In Puerto Rico, we did the Wonders of San Jaun tour. On paper this tour seemed to cover everything, in actuality this tour was not the greatest. The tour took us to two beach locations to take pictures and then we stopped at a sketchy local restuarant for snacks, which at 10 in the morning was not necessary. We also spent a half hour standing around in the capital buildiing, which athough beautiful could of been seen in 10 minutes. The tour description said we would stop at Fort, but we only drove by on our way back to the port. Overall our tour guide's poor time managment lead to some stops being skipped. Labadee was beautiful beach day. I went on the Dragon breeze zip line excursion which was very fun, if slighly overpriced. I was also supposed to jet ski, but my excursion was cancelled due to high winds. According to the guide, you should book jet skiing in the mornign to avoid wind problems. The shopping was not good on Labadee as the vendors were very aggressive. Read Less

Amazing service. A lot of activities inside the cruise Food ok, I recommend go to dinner to the windjammer and not to the de main dining Very fast embarkation with the seatsails pass ready Highly recommended Cruise for a family (we were 17) Last time I went with Royal, with went to the Oasis of the seas, I think the destinations were better, but the service and the experience in Harmony of the seas was faraway better. We traveled with our 8 months daughter and the only thing we hada a little trouble was with the food, she ate the same practically the 7 days but for an adult is ok. On thay 3 to 4 you will start looking for somenthing else to have breakfast in the windjammer. The gala dinner was ok, but the portions on the plate were to few for my taste. Defenitly this is a cruise to enjoy all the activities in the inside, and it has a lot. You will not get bored. Read Less

So we took our adult kids with so they too can experience it. Man,did they have a blast!!!. First of all, They prepurchased their deluxe alcoholic bev with wifi for around $590 Cdn and that was an awesome deal!!!! the balcony cabin was perfect, and the food was excellent..we tried the free dining places and the specialty ones ( their 3 dining pkgs for $80Usd/person is a very good deal). Shore experiences: St. Maarten-best is Bernard Tours for around $55 with free drinks onboard DJ or the Mailman will give you the best tour of this island Puerto Rico- highly recommend Charlie's Custom Tours speaks Fluent English and Spanish. Request any changes during your tour and he will try to accomodate you ( don't forget to tour the rainforest besides the city it's exhilirating), free beer and soda in his custom van seats 8 comfortably. $75Usd/hour... (4 hr minimum) the one we took best deal. Labadee- very nice private island of Royal Caribbean. A lot of things to do here. But first they serve lunch between 12-2pm( which I feel is a short time). We did the long zipline (they alotted you a timeslot when you buy there) for $105 Usd, u gotta try this one it's awesome!!!the view is spectacular from the mountain top. If you are planning a cruise, but have not made up your mind, we certainly recommend RCCL. If you want a big ship experience, they have it with the Oasis class, including Harmony. If you are in for smaller ships, the Legend and Sovereign class ships are a good fit. And they have everything in between. We have sailed about a dozen times with them, and have never been disappointed. Sometimes it is for the destinations, and other times for the ships. They have it all covered. What keeps us coming back, though, are the crew members on board. Our main dining room waiter and assistant made each evening special. There were many specialty restaurants on this mrga ship, but we never wanted to miss our main dining experience each night, and so it was main dining for us. And the food was great. Captain Gus should be proud of his ship and staff. Read Less

My family and I joined 17 other friends on the Harmony of the Seas in May 2018. This was our first cruise vacation. We will probably do another one on Royal Caribbean in the future. Because I had not been on a cruise in the past, I read dozens of reviews on this website so that I went onboard somewhat educated. The ship was very clean and modern. There were always crew members working to keep it that way. Our cabin on deck 11 was an ocean balcony room. I was really happy with the room. Only thing I would have changed was having the bed close to the balcony. Some rooms were set up this way, but we would wake up early and have to step over the kids on the pullout to sit and enjoy the morning on the balcony. The dining experience was great, atmosphere, the wait staff, appetizers, desserts, but I thought the entrees were lacking. Most steaks, prime rib, etc were not very good. Pasta and fish dishes were good. We did try Chops one night, and the meat was definately better, but that was the type of steaks I was anticipating in the Main Dining Room, not having to pay extra for. We spent a lot of time on the pool deck. The pools, hot tubs, and waterslides were awesome. Loved the Flowrider, but it seems to be very clique there with the sports deck staff and some of their preferred guests, how much time on the Flowrider, who got extra turns, lessons, etc.. Rock wall was fun. Abyss was fun to try once. Never had the chance or time to get to the zip line. If you are into sports that are happening back on the main land, it was tough to find a place to watch the games. NBA playoffs, Red Sox vs Yanks, etc.. Most tvs only got ESPN 1 and 2. Some random tv's would get TNT for NBA playoffs, but most of the crew had no idea what channels they got, how to change channels, where channels where available, etc.. I believe Symphony has a Sports Bar, that would be nice on Harmony. Overall service was very good. We had a great Head Waiter, Waiter, and Assistant Waiter in the Grande with Alen, Dordue, and Vikash. With 21 people in our group, they were able to accommodate us and were very personable. Pool and Bar staff were always working hard to keep pool deck clean and drinks flowing. Marie, our stateroom attendant was dependable and it was always great to come back to our room midday and at night being in nice clean order with fresh towels. We did three excurions, but only one through RC at Aquaadventure Paradise Island Nassau. We were really looking forward to this excursion. RC gets you into the park early, but the waterslides and Rapid River didn't open until later. Then it was tough to get more than one ride on The Leap Of Faith, Tower Of Poisiden, etc.., wish we had more time there. Overall great experience and I would recommend a cruise on Royal Caribbean to anyone who is interested. Read Less

What a great time on the Harmony with family. Food & Wait staff was perfect in the main dinning room late seating. Love the new layout of the Balcony Cabin, Great use of space! More fun things to do for frequent cruisers who are young at heart. The dry slide was so fun! The wet slide...not good for adults but kids loved it. Entertainment was good. Grease & Ice show - awesome. We used the stairs the entire week, that was a great workout all week. The elevators sure looked BUSY all the time. A few things to work on: Ice cream machines didn't work most of the time (AGAIN)! The bed is way to hard, need a way to make softer. There were no sausages all week at Board Walk counter. But the biggest thing I missed was the solarium POOL! Where did it go?? We need it back! Our state room was very nice. Loved the balcony that connected with our friends and families balconies. Our state room attended mr. O’Neil Orr did was fantastic and made our stay even better. In the main dining room our waiter Sherine tendered to our every need with specialized food orders, great knowledge and a warm and welcoming service. The bars have great selections. The ship is in good shape and well maintained. There are lots of activities onboard, however some seam to be hard to join (as there are groups that constantly occup; eg. volleyball and basketball). The musical, Grease, was really good, however we were on the same ship last year and would have enjoyed to see a new musical. The Fine Line Show is amazing. Casino is nice and a lot of fun. The shore excursions are ridiculously overprised compared to booking private tours at the destinations. The SPA was not a good experience: our friends had a massage and afterwards the staff tried for thirty minutes to sell them products they did not want and had shown no interest in. We booked the thermal spa entrance package, however this was a waste of money as it was noisy and crowded. Also over a hundred US dollars to have access to an infrared sauna and a steam room is not justified. All in all a good cruise both for friends and family. Read Less

Embarkation was smooth and fast. The Harmony of the Seas is the most amazing ship! It is beautiful and has many neighborhoods to spend time in. Our oceanview balcony cabin and bathroom were clean, well attended, and had plenty of room. Food and service were very good in the main dining rooms as well as the Solarium Bistro, Windjammer Cafe, Park Cafe, Promenade Cafe, and Boardwalk venues. The Solarium was an attractive, quiet, and pleasant mostly-adults space to spend the day on a lounge chair, in a hot tub, or visiting the Bistro. Entertainment was top notch! The shows were amazingly professional, with very talented performers. The Aqua Theatre in the stern is an incredible space, and shows there were highlights of our week. Ice shows and main theatre shows were also wonderful. There wasn't a single show that didn't totally entertain us and leave us very glad we attended. Ports were adequate, but not the main reason to cruise on the Harmony. Our (non-ship arranged) bus tour around Nassau was ok but not the best. The narration could have been more informative, and the 30-minute stop at Atlantis was more puzzling than necessary. Not enough time to do much except a quick walk around and back on the bus. Kind of an advertisement for Atlantis, and wasted our precious time in the port. In St. Thomas, we signed up for the ship excursion called Sapphire Beach Snorkeling and Island Drive. DON'T DO IT! The Sapphire Beach "resort" is embarrassing....run down and neglected. Not because of recent hurricanes; you can tell the building and grounds have been neglected far longer than just a year or two of storms. There is a bar and opportunity for a hot dog or hamburger. We only got our free drink, and chose a bottle of water. The beach sand has semi-buried chunks of concrete here and there, making it a tricky walk, and the large 'stones' along the water's edge make barefoot entry and exit very difficult to do without falling or injury. It is unbelievable that Royal Caribbean would actually bring their customers to this kind of place for an "excursion" when there must be many more adequate properties in much better shape for us to spend two hours at the beach. Want to hear about the Island Drive? Not a single word of narration. Nothing. Our driver took us NOT along the most scenic roads of the island, but down small neighborhood streets, picked up a female friend along the way, dropped her off (at work?), as 24 of us sat there stunned. As we waited at the entrance of the run down Sapphire Beach "resort", our driver was ONE HOUR late picking us up. The trucks came in and out of the entry road with no rhyme or reason and no one managing the process. Finally when ours came, again 24 of us sat with no narration as our driver again picked up his female friend (from work? had we stood waiting an uncomfortable extra hour to accommodate her quitting time?) and again drove us down back neighborhood streets to where he dropped her off. Really? We paid for him to give us no narration and to take his friend to and from her destination. Incredible. When we complained to the Guest Services desk, we ended up getting 20% off our excursion. Not enough, but a token that was appreciated nonetheless. In St. Kitts, we did the Caribbean Rail and Sail excursion. In contrast to the excursion in St. Thomas, we have no regrets about doing this one in St. Kitts. The catamaran sail in the morning was pleasant and smooth, the crew members were polite and informative, and we were served snacks and drinks along the way. After the sail, we were promptly picked up and taken to the railway. It was a very pleasant and well-narrated 18-mile ride on the train. Our hostess Carla was excellent. Drinks were served on the train, and a 3-person choir sang for us. Scenic, relaxing, and informative. Definitely do this excursion if you have the opportunity. We absolutely love Harmony of the Seas. If there were no ports at all, there is plenty to do on board. One regret with the onboard experience is the lack of any 'intellectual' presentations or talks during any of the days, at sea or in port. Read Less

We began our vacation flying into Ft Lauderdale, Florida. We didn’t have time to explore the city. There was a slight mishap boarding the boat in Ft Lauderdale. Part of our group didn’t have the proper papers. The whole cruise itself was a wonderful experience. From our room, dining, entertainment and each of the different ports we had a great experience with all. We traveled with a group of 21 and 6 of them were children. Embarking and disembarking ran smoothly. Always look at other reviews. We were prepared because we had watched Utube videos and blogs to prepare ourselves. A couple of complaints I have would be how expensive all the extras were also my older daughter got sun poisoning and we took her to the infirmary and all they did was give her aloe. Which didn’t help, but we will definitely be going on another cruise. We had a great time!! Read Less

I was absolutely blown away by the service and cleanliness of this ship ! The shore excursions and times at port could use some improvements they were at times way too short ! I also felt unsafe on the buses given that there were no seatbelts provided! The staff on board was amazing and super helpful and friendly ! The only thing I wished they would do is offfer more plant based options as a vegan I had a bit of a struggle with food choices aside the main dining room that went out of their way to prepare vegan food for me ! I will definitely be back the ship itself and service were amazing . I was also surprised by the size of our junior suite cabin it was a great experience ! The ship offered so much to do there wasn’t a single moment were we felt bored ! Read Less

could not wait to get on this ship I heard so much about. So much to see and do that we didn't get a chance to do it all. We defiantly would do the same ship again. The Staff was A++... If there was anything higher I would give it to them. FOOD!- I am such a foodie and loved the food so much that I never got a chance to go to the specialty restaurants even though I had plans to do so. However, My friends were able to go to the Sushi restaurant and the Chops grille and had nothing but great things to say...So I will be there on my next trip. We also had some there were disabled on the ship and the assistance provided by the staff was wonderful and allowed them to get around the ship with ease. Unfortunately there was a family emergency and a couple in our group had to get back home immediately and the ship staff was extremely helpful in facilitating the arrangements to accommodate them.
