Royal Caribbean never disappoints. The ship was beautiful, the service was impeccable and the shows were some of the best. We saw the O water show in Vegas and the amphitheatre water show rivaled the Vegas show on the Harmony. The service was not lacking. The only problem I can see is the communication between the Miami office and the ship. That has been the only problem I have had taking special access groups onboard their ships. I find that no matter how many times I verify what is needed and assured that the special need is taken care of, the ball seems to be dropped in at least one or two cabins. However, that being said, Royal Caribbean is the only cruise line that truly tries to accommodate any special needs group and they do succeed and the experience finally does come together to make all happy. Try them and enjoy. Read Less

We had done Oasis and Allure of the Seas before so we decided to try this newest and boldest ship of RC. We loved entertainments on the ship especially the shows at Aqua theatre. Lots of activities that you can do on sea days such as water slides, zip lining, the Ultimate Abyss slide and rock climbing...The foods overall were very good, and we still had lobster dinner on the second formal night. The ship is very well laid out so we had no problem to navigate around. I love the variety locations that RC offers for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. We could go for quick breakfast at Central Park Cafe where it served sandwiches, bagels, fruit cups....Hot dogs at Boardwalk were yummy and Pizza at Sorrento was always fresh. The only thing that we didn't see was midnight buffet. If you like jogging at sea like me you will love the running track on this ship. It goes around the ship on deck 5 without any obstructions (0.6666km per lap). In general, we had an awesome time on this beautiful ship. Will do it again if the price is right. Read Less

Family cruise - 10 of us. The ship was amazing, staff was outstanding, despite there being 7,000 people on board, you could always find a comfortable place to enjoy the cruise. The food quality and availability was average. After-hours dining is basically nonexistent. If you like pizza, you are in luck - that's all they have available to you after the dinner hours. None of the bars have any snacks at all, not a single peanut or pretzel. There's no dining room open after the dinner service, and no convenience store with any snacks. The breakfasts were great, lunch was average, and dinner was also of average quality - the service was always impeccable. The quality of the drinks was outstanding complete with top shelf liquors and wines. If you buy the drink package, you will a lovely experience. If you pay by the drink, you had better be a light drinker. The cabin was great. The only complaint there is the mattress - very FIRM!! Other than that one item, we found the standard oceanside stateroom to be very nice and comfortable. The Total IQ app that they encourage you to use is terrible. The schedules posted are frequently incorrect, you cannot reserve or purchase anything with the app, but you can see options you have for excursions, and even get 7/8th of the way through the process of purchasing one before the app tells you it cannot find what you are looking for. After multiple frustrating attempts, we discovered that means they have no more availability. It would be SOOO simple for the app to tell you that in advance and save you about 20 clicks, but it does not. In summary, if you have kids, or are traveling with a large group and want to cruise on a stunning ship with a HUGE variety of on-board activities, then the Harmony and its sisters are the only way to go. If you're a foodie or want a comfortable mattress - go elsewhere. Read Less

My husband and I booked Harmony only 21 days out, received a last minute deal. I want to say first off, beautiful ship, we had a fantastic cruise. I've been lucky to cruise the sister ship Oasis, so some of my comments are of a personal preference. You will love your cruise on Harmony! Staff/Stateroom attendant- Terrific but had more of a language barrier than past cruises. Very fine service! Stateroom - 14626 - Junior Suite. Wonderful Stateroom with a large balcony. Loved the walk in closet. The bathtub was very small, and the shower was just as small as a normal stateroom. Food - The best food, no matter where we went on the ship Pool area - Very crowded and the lack of the solarium pool was a miss. I enjoyed it on port days. Two saltwater and one freshwater pool Shopping - Great selection of shopping on the ship Casino - Casino hosts not as attentive as on other ships and slots were tight. I played enough to win a free cruise for two though. Drinks - package was expensive but if you didn't get the package two drinks were $30 before tips. acck Gym - Awesome..so many different machines and classes and equipment. Loved the jogging track Spa - Awesome treatments. Wait until day two and look in your compass for deals. embarkation - easy boarding - easy Shows/entertainment - We didn't go to any shows but sooo many choices! Overall a terrific cruise. My personal preference is that I would choose another Oasis class ship because of the lack of a pool in the solarium, but that's because we had a caribbean cruise and there were only three pools for such a large ship. As stated above, the cruise is almost perfect. The ideas they have are good, and there is a lot of potential with them for improvement. Only major complaint is that information onboard is not relaid as efficiently as it could. The ship has an endless amount of activities to do. Activities are aimed at people of all ages. Every night is a party onboard, but I was still able to find quiet spots on nights when I didn't feel like doing much. Crew is very friendly, destinations were good for the most part. Food was as good as cruise ship food could be (however no late night bite options besides pizza). Royal IQ has a lot of potential, but needs work in its current state. Shore excursions are fun, but, again, information could be relayed more efficiently. Shows onboard are decent. You could survive only seeing one show. Other activities onboard would be better most nights. Read Less

Our 17 year old's felt there were not many activities for them at night, and that the teen area was lacking. With so many people on the ship, there were always lines for the activities, most which had limited times available to participate. The pools were always crowded. The cabin was more spacious than expected for 4 people, and the refrigerator was completely unexpected. We usually had a surprise animal made of towels when we got back to our cabin for the evening. Even though we don't have little kids, we all looked forward to that. The whole family loved the balcony. The robot drink maker was infatuating, but like all bars expensive. The musicals Grease and Columbus, and the aqua show Fine Line were outstanding. The variety of food in the Windjammer was great, but very crowded. The quality of food and service in Silk was great. The girl helping us make arrangements for shore excursions was very helpful, although new to this ship. Read Less

I like too much that cruise line...always improving, excellent Quality in most of its amenities Everything well organized, many attractions, many options to do...always on time, the food and drinks are really good. These are the services that I consider you should improve: a) Luggage management, is TERRIBLE...in and out...always the people in charge break the luggage or at least is damaged. b) when you have Drinks package, the way to confirm with the sea pass and get the receipt...is TOO SLOW, no practical...Y think you should use only scanning card and also use CCD the cordless scanning device... c) the reaction of the crew is not fast and effective in cases like "lost child",we were a group of 45 people, and one of the 5 years old child was lost, so the parents were to CUSTOMER services at Deck 5 and with one of the gards and they only said, please stand on the line until your turn....that was NOT OK...the parents were desperated... The rest of the services were excellent....congrats!!! Read Less

I have been on over 17 Royal Caribbean cruises, and this was my first time on board the Harmony of the Seas. I am 20, I sailed with my cousin and sister who are both 17, and with my uncle and parents who are all in their 50s. We all have done lots of cruises in the past on multiple lines. Here is description of what our ship experience looked like and some helpful tips and tricks! CABIN My sister and I stayed in a Boardwalk Balcony and the rest of our party stayed in oceanview balconies. We had an issue booking our cabins that you should be aware of. When you book a garauntee cabin, they usually try their best to place families together when you book through Royal Caribbean. However, this was our first time booking with a travel agent and RCCL did not make any effort to place us together. We had to call customer service over 10 times until we got someone to move us to the EMPTY room near my parents. So if you choose to get gaurantee rooms (they are a lot cheaper), then call a week before sailing if you are unhappy with your placement and they may be able to move you if space is available. All boardwalk balconies come with a free meal at Johnny Rockets and a soda drink package. This package does NOT include the fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, or alcoholic beverages. Only soda. You can upgrade to a better package, but it ends up costing over $100. I highly recommend a boardwalk balcony if you are someone who would enjoy sitting on your balcony and watch shows, people watching, and getting a look at some of the excitement on board the ship. When the door is shut it is silent is the room, but if you choose to leave your curtains open then you will see lights from outside. If you want a more peaceful scene then definitely go with a central park view. They say that you get a free rock climbing private lesson with this room, but DONT BE FOOLED. What they mean by this is that they open the rock wall from 9-10 am on the last day just for boardwalk balconies- not a private lesson. My parent's oceanview balcony had the same layout as ours just with an oceanview. It is very nice and relaxing to see the ocean- worth it if it's not that much more expensive (about a $200 price difference total compared to boardwalk balcony for us). Worth calling to see about the upgrade. Towels are very small in the rooms- beware! DINING We got the ultimate dining package- it is a deal that you can only get if you purchase it before you come on board and it includes a speciality restaurant of your choice every single night of the sailing plus lunch on sea days. It was worth it, but it would have been fine with just a normal 5 day package. Believe it or not, you get tired of eating specialty every day and sometimes was just the windjammer or the dining room. This package does not include the hibachi inside Izumi or Chef's Table. Our favorite restaurant was Jamie's Italian, which was very surprising because we do not like the italian option on board the Oasis or the Allure. They make their pasta fresh and you can taste how amazing it is- the truffle mushroom pasta is delicious, and if you want something light go with the pomodoro. The bread at the beginning was also some of the best I have ever tasted. Disclaimer- I am a vegetarian! If you are a vegetarian or have special dietary needs then you need to tell them the night before if you are eating a specialty restaurant, or you will end up being served a plate of plain steamed vegetables and being charged $50 for your meal. So please go the day before and ask for a special dish. 150 Central Park was a big disappointment on this ship. The restaurant used to be a fancy 6 course meal, and now it is just a normal restaurant. I liked the squash soup, but none of my other dishes. Very simple and normal restaurant, wouldn't choose this if you were limited on choices. Chops was wonderful as always, chocolate liquid cake was awesome. They keep the menu for Chops consistent throughout their whole fleet, so you will be eating the same food on here are someone would eat on their older smaller ships. All the sides are always good, truffle fries and asparagus were my favorite. Wonderland was an expereince that I really enjoyed, but I would not do again. It is very weird food, so it is fun but not a good staple place to eat. The eggs were AWESOME! They come deviled in a glass dish with smoke and have a smoky, cheesy flavor. Also, the tomato water looks so gross but is worth a try. Definitely something fun if you have kids with you. Ask for Shubert as your waiter, he was great. I loved eating at Sabor for lunch, the build your own tacos are great for vegetarians. The banana chocolate chimichangas were also one of my favorite desserts. Ask for Lis as your waitress from Peru. Izumi was kind of a disappointment for me- the noodle dish was not very hearty, but the salad at the beginning was great. Their sesame dressing is really yummy. Something that was weird on this ship that we experience in a lot of the specialty restaurants was that they kept not asking us what we wanted to order and instead just bringing out their favorites, or bringing out everything. Breakfast in the Windjammer was PACKED. It was so hard to find a seat. Park cafe is was less crowded, but not as many options. Johnny Rockets had good breakfast, but not as fast since it isnt buffet style. Mini bites did not have as good of french fries as usual which was weird, and they got rid of the chocolate chip scones in the promenade cafe (try them if you go on oasis/allure). Banana bread from the vitality spa is a must try, a great snack for after your workout. SHOWS Grease was the BEST SHOW EVER! I usually get so bored in the longer productions on board, but I loved Grease so much that I saw it twice. It's not too long, great cast, and great music. You will love it. Columbus was not worth my time. It was very cheesy comedy with a mix of current music thrown in. The aqua show was very disappointing compared to the oasis/allure. They need less dancing and more actual acrobatics and diving. They even took out the springboard dives and just have them jumping from platforms now- not as fun. The slack lines that they added in the show are a good idea, though. Ice show was the best one I've seen yet on a ship. The theme is kind of weird- keeps switching from different themes, but the effects were so cool. Take out your cameras for it to show folks at home! They did have quite a few falls during the show, though. It looked like the ice was not very smooth. Our headliner was Earl Turner, very impressive. He got the whole theatre dancing, singing, and laughing. Headliners are usually a hit or miss, so try it out and if it gets bad just leave early. The escape room was worth it- I have done 4 escape rooms before and this one was very well made. Fun obstacles that were not easy. TIPS Ask your room attendant for robes. He happily gave us some to use during our sailing. If you buy the ultimate dining package then they will try and tell you that it only includes two lunches- that is WRONG! Go talk to a manager asap and fix that. Get on the boat very early and go STRAIGHT to the dining room to book your meals. The specialty restaurants fill up fast and you don't want your whole night plans to be ruined because you couldn't get the dining time you wanted. They will tell you that the people in yellow shirts can help with all reservation, that is not true! Go right to the guest services desk. We literally ran around to 5 different places trying to book the escape room and no one would help, ended up having to go back to guest services. I hope that helps! Royal Caribbean is the best! They offer the best service, quality excursions, caring staff, outstanding food choices, well maintenance ship, and so much to do....... Our waitress was the best we have ever had in the dining room. She was always excited to see us and ask about our day. After the first day, she could practically order for us, knowing what we like. Our room steward was awesome! He always was concerned to make sure that we were comfortable and if we needed anything, he would provide it immediately. The ship is very comfortable. The solarium was very calm, peaceful and it allowed you to just drift off to sleep and relax. I highly recommend to seaweed wrap message for 75 minutes....it was an incredible experience for my first time. The musicals on board were high energy - Grease and Columbus....The ice skating was so cool.... My daughter and I Zipped Lined on the private island of Labadee.... The longest Zip Line over water....over a 1/2 mile long at speeds up to 30 - 35 mph.... Wonderful experience getting on and off the ship... The Harmony is a perfect name for this vessel.....Peaceful and Fellowship..... Make your plans now... Read Less

Ursula, Raj, Checkers,Borko and the bartenders among others at the coastal kitchen did everything possible to make our trip very comfortable. The ship itself has every amenity imaginable from Central Park to a jogging track and gym. Great restaurants and more than anything it was so very clean and organized. Also Doris Arde who was our stateroom attendant kept our room spotless. The only negative thing was there's not enough pools onboard. The pools that are there are way too small for the amount of people on the ship. The entertainment including the play Grease , the onboard comedian and the ice skating show were all number one. The Aqua show was a little hard to follow but was very entertaining. The rock wall, Flo rider and zip line also kept me and my Nieces and nephew far from being bored. Always something to do. The ports were also very organized and again made for a very pleasant experience. To all the employees behind the scenes that keep the boat running and looking great thank you! Read Less

This cruise provided some Great destinations that we haven't experience yet of which P.R. was a destination of interest and Labadee was a sure thrill on the Zip line or just hanging out on the beach with the family. The service and staff on this ship was super. The on board activities like the Flow-Rider, swimming pools and casino were my favorite activities while the shows are some of the best I've seen and I would compare them with some of the shows I've seen in Vegas. from the check in counter to entering the ship the experiences were welcoming and inviting. I did purchase the premium drink package on the ship and it did not come with the Voom wifi, so i would recommend you do this at least 3 days before you get on board to get the package deal at a discounted rate. if you plan on drinking and staying in touch with anyone on land while your at sea, and you know you will.! This is our second (and third) cruise with Royal Caribbean, combining two consecutive cruises into one holiday. We travelled with a group of friends, 12 in total. Arrival: coming from Europe, we always travel one day early. Picked a hotel close to the terminal. Embarkation: after reading tips on this site, we decided to head out early. We arrived around 10AM, and were whisked through security (nobody there), registration, and another security check, and boarded by 11. The ship is still empty at that time, so plenty of time to discover. We had lunch in Central Park Café (nice choice of salads, sandwiches, pannini, ...), but other restaurants were also open. Rooms were ready by 1PM, suitcases arrived not too long after that. Ship: it's the largest cruise ship in the world (at this moment) and it shows! So many places to discover, that we only tried out some places on the fifth day! The ship is clean, well maintained and offers endless entertainment. Sometimes it's hard to imagine you're on a ship, especially in Central Park. I would however not choose the balcony rooms that have access to the inside open spaces (Central Park, Boardwalk) since they seem noisy. Restaurants: too many to try out ! We took the dinner package, so quite a few evenings were spent in the specialty restaurants. - Jamie's: since we were 12 we got the Royal treatment: a table full of appetizers, extra tasting plates for main course, and again too many desserts to eat. We love this place. - Wonderland: a must-do! Again, with 12 guests, we got so much food presented we could not finish it all. It's a show, and the food is excellent. - Sabor: a decent Mexican, nice for variety. - Izumi sushi: another favorite, with plenty of selection. - Izumi hibachi: book this very early because it sells out quickly!! Fun meal with show quality, and decent food. It's not Michelin star, but the entertainment factor wins, especially with kids. The desserts are ... a miss (like in most Japanese places). - Solarium Bistro: our favorite for breakfasts and lunches. Buffet style food, with lots of choice. Inside or outside tables. - Johnny Rockets: classic burgers, floats and shakes fifties style. Lovely outside terrace. - Main restaurant (Silk, Grande, American Icon): Breakfast is only served in American Icon: decent choice with pancakes made on the spot. Lunch: I would just go there for the dessert table!! What a choice, at least 4 huge cakes, chocolate fountain, fruits, ... Dinner: can't go very wrong here. There is a limited a la carte choice (one part stays the same during the cruise, the other changes daily). It's the same choice you get when you eat in your room/balcony. - Coastal kitchen: this is located in the Suites lounge (so not accessible for all passengers). I love the smaller size of this place, although I was surprised it was in the same room as the lounge (on our first cruise, it was a separate room). Good selection of a la carte food, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. - Windjammer: never went there... Packages: we took the deluxe package that also included Wifi access. Since we were 12 using Whatsapp as communication tool proved very useful. And the Deluxe deal doesn't require you to dink alcohol non-stop... we just enjoyed all drinks, not having to think about cost. We also took the dining package, it offers good value I believe. Kids until 6 eat for free! Chef's table (optional): we had this on our first cruise, and loved it. Here, the experience was not good, and only because of the location: a sectioned off corner in the Solarium restaurant. Very noisy from other diners around us, up to the point where we did not understand the explanations of the Chef and Sommelier! We complained about this situation. However, food and service were excellent. 7 course meal, excellent wine pairing. All Access Tour (optional): another one we tried before. Too bad the quality has gone down: less venues visited (no theater, no crew rec room, ...), no Hi from the Captain, and much shorter in time. We were really looking forward to visiting the Aquatheater, since this is unique on this class of ships, but we didn't go there at all. We did visit the classics: galley, engine control room, laundry rooms, bridge. Still worth the money, but I doubt we'll do it again if it stays like this. Musicals: awesome!! Grease is a must, and has you singing along the whole time. Columbus was a discovery (it's a musical written for RC) with excellent humour, singing and the biggest stage prop I've ever seen (a life size replica of the ship used by Columbus... on a stage ... on a moving ship!!!). Ice skating: you can go either skate yourself, or watch shows. Real professionals on the ice, loved the experience. Aqua theater: since we had a room with a balcony facing this venue we watched all shows from there. Incredible what is possible there: aerial shows, high jump from 17m (55ft), high rope at the same height, and this all on a moving ship!! Outside: too much to mention: water slides (long waiting times, but so much fun), mini golf, slide that goes down 7 floors, surf simulators, ... The pool area is always crowded, so we didn't go there that often. Having 25 people inside the small pools is just not comfortable. Some of us tried the zipline over central park, and liked it, although it's a very short ride. Spa: we tried the couples massage, deep-tissue, and loved it. Downside: obvious sales pitch during and after for extra products. Ports: we mostly organized our own trips, outside of the excursion desk... - Sint Maarten: we headed to Maho beach straight away and found a spot at the Driftwood Boat bar, left of the runway (when facing the runway). Beach chairs (paying) and quiet spot, with drinks the best pizza on the island right behind you. I am not a fence hanger, but love the airplanes arrivals and take-offs. - Puerto Rico: walked around the city of San Juan, discovering beautiful streets, houses, squares. - Labadee: I managed to get a beach cabana for our group. For kids there is a fantastic water park, the beach is great, zip lines, ... Loved our stay there, but try to be early if you want a good spot on the beach. - Bahamas: walked around the city, found it not as endearing as San Juan. Souvenirs everywhere. - St Thomas: another walking day (people declared us nuts to walk to town, but it's no problem if you like to walk). Found a great lunch place (Green House, on the board walk) and walked up to the fortress and Blackbeard's tower (steep incline!!). - St Kitts: we took the train ride around the island and loved it: two hours of easy ride on the old plantation tracks, excellent guide on board. Escape room: what a great way to spend an hour with friends! You always have 15 people in there, and you have to gather clues to find the way out. So much fun (even if we didn't find the final answers). Kids fun: since we had a few kids in the group (3, 6, 11, 13) some parents used the facilities offered for each age group. By the sound of it, they loved it. One odd thing though: they offer services until 2AM, but will not allow the kids to sleep. What ??? Back to Back: since we did two cruises, we thought we could stay on the ship during transit. But no: we did have to get off the ship, for passport controls. This was however handled by the Membership coordinator, and we were off and back on the ship in about 30 minutes. Effortless! Final arrival: we had the chance to stay in the Suites lounge until 10AM, after which we were guided off the ship by the concierges. This makes it effortless again: find your luggage, shortcuts to security. We were outside in 20 minutes. We stayed one extra night in Miami before flying back to Europe. Special mention to our excellent room attendant, Mr Ryan Arthur (who helped us out where he could, and always had a big smile ready), our Suite lounge concierges Raj and Checker (who made the impossible possible!) and our membership coordinator Louise Japundzic, who was the most friendly host! We booked two cruises on the ship, make use of the special offer on board! Would we do it again? Of course! Read Less

I have been loyal to Royal for many years (cruising over 6 times). However the expectations for the Harmony of the Seas (the biggest ship out there) were not met! The overall cruise is UNDERSTAFFED! Royal You need more bartenders, more DJ's, Better hours of operations for Entertainment (not enough time slots for Shows) with the amount of people on board. Lounges closed way too early! Royal needs to extend Lounge times until 2 am and provide DJ's after bands leave. Teen disco needs a DJ playing Top hit songs all night until at least 1am.!! Teenagers were BORED!! Boleros closes too early, Dassles closes too early, Wonderland Lounge closes too early, the list is endless of the amount of wasted nightly lounges that Royal is not making proper use of! Elevators are not in SYNC!! They are way too slow for the amount of people on board. Fix Them! Main Dinning Room needs better food portions *they have declined tremendously! Not everyone wants to spend more money on Specialty Restaurants. Breakfast should be served later in the Solarium too! Stop closing at 1030 am. Too many people on board! You need an A la Carte Omelette area at the Windjammer and Solarium! The Bartending service was very poor especially at the Solarium and Floating Bars! Hire more bartenders!! Too many passengers on this Ship!! You can't run this ship like you run your small fleets. Seriously Royal?? You are making way too much money for this ship to be slacking and reducing!! I chose this cruise because I was taking my 13 year old granddaughter on a vacation. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly on the ship in five minutes. Off very quickly and orderly. The ship is very pretty and kept very clean considering how many people are on this ship. Cabin was nicely decorated and the cabin steward was very nice and kept the room spotless and he was very helpful with any questions I had. I had cabin 329 deck 8 overlooked the aqua theatre and the theater played movies till 12:00 very noisy the balcony windows did not block sound out. So don't plan to go to sleep watch tv or read. If you have cabins in the back or what they call aft. Ship. Better off with inside cabin or balcony ocean side mid ship. Dining crowded and long wait lines. Buffet also crowded and they don't provide trays for your food so you have to juggle your drink silverware and food . To a table if you can find one. Dining room food was ok I only ate there once fish was salty and had bones. And children sitting at a table next to me were running around the table and throwing themselves on the floor. The parent were at another table further away from them and did not care. Buffet in the windjammer restaurant was pretty good. I did not try any of the specialty restaurants. Entertainment was good aquatic show. And Grease the musical was good. You do need to have reservations for every thing because it is so crowded. Services were poor. Many problems with teens running wild on the ship . 12 yr old was molested by a fifteen yr old boy. And same teen was harassed by another boy. It was handled very poorly by security. My 13 yr old did not want to go in the pool because it was to crowded. And I could not find a seat at the pool or nor could I swim in any of the 4 pools because all 6,00 people were in them. Body to body. Ports nice shore excursion not sponsored by the ship in Mexico snorkeling was great. Swimming with the dolphins thru the ship tours took you thru a lot of shopping in the stores before you actually got to swim with the dolphins. I booked with icruise.com they provided the best tour. For least amount of money. I am not a fan of the mega ship to crowded and unruly. If you are a young family you may enjoy it. As for me I will never go on a mega ship again. It was more like a floating city than a ship. Read Less

We went on this cruise because of the ship. The staff is great. there are some problems with this ship. 1st of all hope you like to climb stairs because the elevators are so packed hot and slow you can not use them unless you have 15 or 20 minuets. This my time dining is hard to use you show up and have to wait forever. if you try to schedule a time on the boat you cant get anyone to answer the phone. Avoid the windjammer buffet at all cost. they don't control it at all. you cant find a seat. when you do it is dirty and no one cleans it. i ate at a dirty table twice last week. over all the food is average on this boat on the bright side johnny rockets is a great place and the boots and bonnet salon is great as well Read Less

This cruise ship is vey large and was hard to explore in so little time . I would recommend this cruise if you like large cruise ships . But the biggest concern was price . To me this cruise seemed all about Money Most of the restaurants were not complimentary. Jamie's Italian was $ 35 per adult and $10 per child . However Chops grill and Wonderland were $50 per person ! Also, the sale merchandise was Cheep quality. I happened to get a beach bag that broke 3 days later, I bought another carrying bag that unseemed the day I bought it . But otherwise, the entertainment nightly was Amazing. I felt that the cruise was all about the money, rather than providing overall customer satisfaction and convinience. For 2 adults and 2 children from California: 7 day cruise fare $6500 + $1800 airfare + $1700 on board tab + $150 hotel = $10,150 for a 7 day cruise or $2,537.50 per person. while the cruise was nice overall, it was not worth the cost. In the future, we will stick to the smaller venue cruises from the California ports of call. Read Less

I took my grandchildren and this ship has a lot to do for them. Our room was fine the room attendant is xcellent. Our waiter and assistant waiter where excellent The kids club is very nice the kids love it I am not happy with room service. I feel everyone at cruise critics should be sending a complaint. They are now charging $7.98 to use the room service. I feel that is absolutely wrong. The cafe on floor 5 has a very small selection of food for a 24 hour place The pizza is not good it's always not cooked thru I am disabled and the staff is wonderful and so helpful. Got off the ship in Labadee and it was easy to get around the beach Please remember to send in your complain about the room service so maybe it will be changed back. Very unfair to the passagers Read Less

Overall cruise was outstanding! Would do it again in an instant. The ship is HUGE! a lot to do - never bored. Kids had great time 9 & 12. Very Fluid operation - we flew in morning of (Ft. Lauderdale) Airport is 15 mins away - took taxi, checked in and pretty much just walked on the boat no lines etc. around 11AM - very smooth - So here are some things I recommend: 1 - Buy full beverage package if you are a decent drinker but ahead of time - cheaper - over the 7 days you drink a lot - Grab a drink at bars before you get to a show and there won't be a line - easier 2 - Get Internet ahead of time if you want internet - cheaper 3 - Get Royal IQ app - its awesome - We didn't get internet - wanted to disconnect but we used the app to txt and/or call each other with our cells between everyone - $7.95 each for the entire week to be able to txt/call - app calendar etc. free - worked well - was really useful to see what you wanted to do and how to lay your day out. It connects only to the boats internet so you can't do much with it until you get checked in your room then it will go live - your calendar will sync etc. at that point. Just download the app before you leave. 4 - We didn't care for the free food overall - Here is some tips - buy the 3 night dinner package ahead of time - We went to Jamies, Sabor &150 Central park and they were outstanding - You can go to the Solarium Bistro for dinner (free) but you have to make reservations - that was a good dinner - They serve lunch too but dinner was better. Pizza in promenade was good. There is another breakfast & lunch place in Central park called park cafe - We ended up there a lot for a simple quieter breakfast & lunch. 5 - MyTime dining was ok overall but you have to make reservations in advance even though its "My Time" and you still have to wait a few - just not fluid. Food was hit & miss - If I could afford to do speciality dining every night I would have - far better food. 6 - Entrainment - The Aqua show was probably the best show I have seen ever - We watched it 2x's - you have to make reservations - go to the later one - cooler feel at night - incredible show, Grease was awesome make reservations and I thought columbus was funny. 1887 was an ice skating show - was ok, kinda grew on you during the hour. Go to the "Adult" comedian in Attic - very funny - reservations needed 7 - Do bingo (Jose was host - funny guy) Just buy the $69 package the iPads are worth it. they have bingo throughout the week - one of them they give away a cruise and the other one was for a few thousand $ - Do The Marriage Show & The Quest Show - I think they do them each 2x's on the cruise - go to both if you can - they are hysterical 8 - Get the WOW bands - so much easier then carrying your SeaPass Car around - use for everything including room key - Get as soon as you get on the ship at boleros on royal promenade - $5 - use for everything except when you get on & off the ship have to have card then 9 - Go through the adult section of the solarium (you can sneak kids through) to go out to an open balcony looking over the front of the ship - great view one side has a glass floor which is cool 10 - Sign any release waivers and fillout your sea pass paperwork online before getting on ship that way when you get to the ship you are good to go and all you have to do is pick up your wow band and go play on the ship until your room is ready - We brought a bag of swim clothes etc. to let them play until the room was ready however I think we were in our room anyway around 1:30PM 11 - Excursions were fun - of course depends on what you pick - we used royal Caribbean booked ahead of time and it kept it very fluid and I didn't have to worry if it was delayed as the boat would wait. Prob. paid a little extra for assurance but the process was painless 12 - We had connecting rooms - When you get in the room just call housekeeping and they will unlock connecting door and open partition on balcony if you want them too 13 - Wife went to spa - said it was great just book ahead of time as you save money. 14 - The "celebrations / parades" on the promenade were not great but you need to go up to the farewell party when your leaving port - fun experience waving goodbye. 15 - Make reservations for all your dinners and entertainment (big shows) on your cruise planner online prior to going - just makes it easier - they you can use your app online to add anything else to it and keep track that way. I think that should help a little - It was a great trip & an awesome boat! Have fun! Read Less

AAA recommendation. We wanted to see and enjoy the largest cruise ship! There were seven in our group and we were celebrating a 50th anniversary and two birthdays. It was amazing! Many activities for all members of our family from the five year old to the "seniors" in our group. The little one enjoyed the characters from DreamWorks. The preteen children especially enjoyed the flow rider. The one drawback is waiting in line for some activities such as the zip line, water slide, etc. The shows were all enjoyable and some were of professional caliber. We especially enjoyed the ice show, water show, Grease, and Columbus musical. Even the puppet show was fun for the youngest. The casino was fun for the adults, but sometimes roulette was too crowded to get to the table. We enjoy having wine with dinner but would appreciate a more affordable selection. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They made us feel special and pampered! The room was always clean. In room coffee pots would be a nice touch. The sinks in the room are very small. The ports of call were all enjoyable, although sometimes rather expensive. It would be nice to have another port of call. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation that made everyone in the group happy! It would be really a nice addition to have some type of non denominational religious service on board, or a chapel of some type. Read Less

We wanted to see the newest RC ship and overall it was amazing!!! we had a 2 BR Aqua suite so the service was immeasurable. Our Genie Reyno was fabulous & took care of many of the headaches we wouldve had! Got us on the ship and to our room by 11:00 am .he made our show reservations..Grease was Broadway quality! Loved all the food both specialty and dining room. I know people have been complaining about the food on RC but I cant say one bad thing!!! We loved the improvements to the Suite sun deck. great to have a hot tub & bar there but RC majorly dropped the ball on leaving out a pool in the Solarium., Not sure why they would make this change but because of that I will NOT book on this ship again until they add one. I was also disappointed in the new pool hours.. we used to swim till midnight after dinner.. yes we are strange but it is not crowded at night and we didnt need to apply sun screen.,. now they close at 7 pm. they told us there was always a pool open at night but I guess with the storms out to sea we could never find an open pool..which was disappointing. I know people judge because of the price of the Aqua suites but if you can at all swing it you will be truly amazed!! pleasantly surprised to find out that the Bionic Bar is included in the Star class. Loved going to the Specialty rest for free.. especially the Izumi sushi for lunch take out on sea days. we ordered take out since the restr was already booked and took back to the Suite Deck for lunch fabulous!! I love that RC doesnt charge tips on the STAR class rooms. If you have Star Class remember to bring cash for tips. We were very generous to each waiter and our room attendant since they werent getting any other tips from us. We loved the food and service and quietness of the Coastal Kitchen for Breakfast, we didnt need to fight the crowds in then Windjammer and the wine and cheese before dinner was fabulous. Getting off the ship was a breeze as our bags were already sent valet service to the airline. we were then taken to the front of the customs line and in no time we were on our way to the airport. When vacation time is limited this is the way to cruise.. just saying!!! We will do the Allure next year!! it is our favorite ship so far.. but anxiously awaiting the prices to come down for the Symphony. our Aqua Theater Suite was 3x times higher on the Symphony for 2018 than this cruise on the Harmony. I think someone is on crack making the prices hahahaha!! but Ill keep checking for the drop.. gotta do the Symphony.. LOVE ROYAL CARIBBEAN!! keep on sailing :) Read Less

Ship was an engineering marvel and impeccably appointed. The crew was friendly, accommodating and gave incredibly personal service. Entertainment on board was top notch. Food was better at some places than others, but I am a food snob. There are definitely alot of people on board and if I had one or two complaints it is that people should take a refresher course in good manners before boarding....there are rules in polite society and we are all trying to get somewhere too..... and also DEODORANT IS MANDATORY!!!! despite what you do at home. Too many people too close of quarters to be stinking like some people were doing!!!! Can be a bit overwhelming especially for a novice cruiser like we were, but things settle down and it gets easier to manage and lines for activities (slides, rockwall etc) get smaller as it goes on especially if you get back from your excursion earlier than others. Seems like there a little tips and tricks that can make things smoother, so I would suggest talking with an experienced cruiser before embarkation. If I had any suggestions for future cruisers other than minding your hygiene and manners. Definitely download the cruise app on your phone so you always have a schedule at your fingertips (plus all the other functionality, it's a pretty good app) And also if you disembark thru port everglades us the mobile passport app. That shortened our time in customs by 95%. Thoroughly enjoyed despited a few missteps. Would def cruise again and only on a ship of this class and would highly recommentdto others!!!! Read Less

We celebrated our son's birthday and everyone had a great time. My teenage son always hates the emergency drill when we first get on board, but he LOVED the one on this ship because it was a fun mystery film and he talked about it every day, great job on making this different and fun for everyone! The ship had so much to do, we were always having fun, our teenagers who can be fussy were all happy with the new friends they made and the activities on board. The food was excellent all over the ship, we ate in the main dining room but also tried Chops Grille, Sabor Mexican, Johnny Rockets and the buffet, they were all delicious with great choices and excellent service. The ports were fun and we enjoyed them very much. Everything was clean, sanitary and well maintained, we always saw workers cleaning and keeping everything tidy, they always said hello and made us feel welcome. The shows were wonderful, there were so many to choose from, the casino was great too and offered so much to try. Guest Services was always nice. The staff was the friendliest we have seen and we were sad to leave the last day. Read Less

We chose this ship because it was the newest and largest with everything we wanted for entertainment, dining, etc. We traveled with family members and it was an excellent choice. This was a good family ship with something for everyone! Although this ship had over 6,000 people, they were serviced in a timely fashion. I found that some of the people were very rude (not the staff) and sometimes we made the choice to not eat in the large dining area. However, the dining rooms were very good and the atmosphere was so much different. The selection of food choices and places to eat was very good. The night entertainment choices were excellent and done with good taste. The service, food, staff and entertainment was superb. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smooth. This vacation went very well and it was worth the money. I would recommend this ship to others who are looking to sail the seas. Read Less
