This was my first ever cruise. I absolutely loved everything about the ship! The ship was beautiful and had a lot of entertainment and activities to join in. The service was phenomenal - the crew members were very friendly and welcoming. My family and I became good friends with a bunch of the crew and they definitely left us in a positive mood. Everything on the ship was a blast! There were tons of restaurants and food to choose from and the shops were great. I definitely recommend going on Harmony of the Seas, or any other of Royal Caribbean's cruises, because I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! All the relationships and memories made really leave you longing for more and to never want to leave the ship! My family and I are already planning to invite a bunch of other friends and family members to go on many more of Royal Caribbean's cruises in the future! Read Less

This is a wonderful ship full of all the modern amenities and anything you could want. Getting on and off the boat at the beginning and the end of the trip could not have been easier as well as at the different ports of call. The dining was fantastic with the different options and wonderful staff in the dining room (Florentina, Dipu, Francis, Veronica, Claudia at the pool bar) all truly treated us so wonderful and made it seem as though we were the only people on the boat while they continued to take care of hundreds of other people each day. Marcellio the room attendant was also great and he would take the time to talk to us in the morning and evening and make sure that we had all of the items we needed. In terms of the entertainment there is never a time where I was bored or looking for something to do from the water show at the back of the boat to the many pools on board or shopping was a big hit with the ladies in our family there was also something to be doing during our time on the ship. The excursions sponsored by Royal Carib were great with snorkeling in St. Marteen and Ziplining on the private beach in Haiti. I would recommend this to my friends and it was such a good experience part of our group has already booked their next trip on the new ship Symphony in May of 2018. **Cannot mention enough how much I enjoyed the people most of all on this trip in the staff. Florentina was a fantastic waitress at dinner every night and so glad we were sat in her section the first night as the cruise would not have been the same without her on the cruise. The same goes for Dipanshu (Dipu) at the dinner location. Francis and Claudia at the pool bar on deck 15 were fantastic from hour 1 at the pool knowing our names and making sure our drink never went dry. The people on this ship are your greatest asset and they made my cruising experience along with obviously the great locations that the ship stopped in port.** Read Less

Just found out about this ship is new and the biggest, and we wanted to experience ourselves how the service was compared to the ones we had been to... and yes, we weren't disappointed! Indeed, Harmony of the Seas is second to none! Definitely the best and its name says it all!! Embarkation and Disembarkation- very organized!! We didn't have to wait long.. friendly staff! Dining- our experience in the Silk Dining Room was the highlight of our cruise! My family enjoyed the fun and good times we had, from the great food to the excellent services! Our main servers were Regan Rodrigues and Zuo Cao, very professional and friendly! But we were also entertained and served by Joshua Ramaloo, Tirencio Escabosa, Rico Bundang, I Putu Wiratma, Marcelo Fantine and Romualdo Mangurali, who all went far and beyond to provide such incredibly wonderful services! You have an awesome crew! Shore Excursions- Not so organized. Our shore excursion was the only disppointment we had on this trip. We didn't get back in time to explore Puerto Rico. Time must be strictly reinforced to guests when bus is leaving the port and when to come back. My husband and I will never join shore excursions anymore. Seems that it will be best for us to do it on our own. Read Less

Largest ship, -Amazing Suite lounge! This was our first cruise on royal Caribbean and it was amazing. But we had a suite and ate in the coastal kitchen the whole time. Ray and Checker are the concierge hosts and they are fantastic! Bojan, is an amazing server and so friendly with kids. These three employees alone, stand out above the rest and made our vacation that much more special. If you book with this ship I would highly recommend getting a suite. Otherwise it is pretty crowded at the windjammer cafe and other food areas. CleanlinessThe ship itself is very clean, always people cleaning around. I did hear of people getting sick possibly from the sushi, so I would avoid that. I was very hesitant about booking a cruise because I am a germ phobe, I brought Lysol and Clorox wipes and just wiped and sprayed our room even though it was very clean, they have Purell hand sanitizer stations everywhere. I will say the toilets are ODD. You have to touch the toilet seat to press the flush button. Royal Caribbean should really look into having auto flush toilets. Day one at sea the pool areas were packed. I was able to get a towel attendant to bring me a chair. All the other days I was able to find a chair by the kids splash area with no problem. The only excursion we did Were the dolphins in Cozumel. We did the royal swim and it was SO cool. Be prepared though it is an hour process before you get to the actual dolphin activity. From checking in, to bring shuffled from one area, to another, to waiting in lines for a shuttle taxi to the dolphin venue. But once we were there and In the water with these beautiful creatures it's amazing. My kids loved the water slides, the splash area, etc. I will say though they should've built bigger pools. People were packed in liked sardines in the pools. They are tiny for a ship of this size. My pool at home is bigger. Johnny rockets was amazing! And the staff there were awesome! Especially Mona. Casino was large even though the slots are super tight. Not much payout. And you pay for drinks unless you have a package. Aqua show was awesome. Travelled with kids so didn't get a chance to see the others. Kids club counselors are mean. They need to overturn almost the whole staff (except maybe a select few). Lots of rowdy kids. Kids have to play the activities at hand and are not allowed to play with the computers or do other things if they don't want to play the existing games. I had a child in the 9-11 age group and one in the 6-8. I was told initially that if my youngest daughter wanted to see my oldest, she could, but when she asked to, she was told no. I complained and was told the counselors were wrong and made a mistake. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. Older kids group had 50 kids for 3 counselors one day in a room. Crazy! Overcrowded imo. My children made friends with other kids and the general consensus was that the counselors were rude and unhappy. This is why I knocked one star off the ship. Cabin we stayed in was a aqua theatre one bedroom. Room 11330. Amazing room! Read Less

The ship has a lot to offer and our group of 12 were very happy with the service.. Most of the staff on the ship were smiling and very happy. We had the premium dining package and beverage package. We had a wonderful time dining at the premium restaurants and the service for our big party of 12 was excellent. We were disappointed with the restaurant, Wonderland. Our waiter chose our dishes and although several of us let the waiter know we didn't eat seafood, we received several seafood dishes. It's not a good choice if you are hungry. The premium restaurants do not have a view of the ocean. Poor layout. There is an area on deck 8 called Central Park which is where most of the premium restaurants are located. While I enjoyed this deck it would be a better experience to feel like you are on the ocean instead of in a park when on a ship. Jet Skiing in Haiti was amazing! I highly recommend this excursion. It's very well organized, the staff well trained and the FUN was through the roof! Woo Hoo! SO fun! DO NOT go horseback riding in Jamaica. Some people fell off horses, my horse was kicked by one of the horses, someone was bit. It was not safe, The water we "swam" in with the horses smelled like crap(literally). I had to throw away the sneakers I wore on this excursion. They smelled like the water. It was awful Overall, our group of 12 had an amazing time! The pool for children was great and our two, under 10, were happy :) We saw several of the shows on the ship and they were entertaining. We didn't get a chance to ice skate. Several used the slides by the pool and enjoyed them very much. The Jazz Club was awesome. There was a guitar player who played classical music in the evening at Schooner bar or in the Central Park area. He was great! The host for the comedy show, Simeon, was SO funny. We enjoyed him more than the comedian who followed him The premium coffee package was not worth it. It was not easy finding premium coffee. I ordered a "premium" cafe mocha at Windjammer and received a coffee with hot chocolate powder mixed into the coffee. Very disappointing. I found most of the restaurants didn't offer premium coffee so, I had to go to one location for a premium coffee ad then go to the restaurant. Lots of running around to enjoy a premium coffee. The fitness center makes fresh juices which is included in the premium beverage package. Really awesome! Read Less

Harmony is quite amazing. So large, so clean and full of personable and professional staff to make the 7 days enjoyable and packed with endless fun. Raj, Checker, Desai, Fethi and David. . . .thank you for the kindness. There is almost too much to do on Harmony. Although the ship is new and magnificent, the number of cruisers is staggering and in the pool area and the Windjammer the crowd can be overwhelming. But, everything is so clean! And the Staff amazing! Traveling with 23 in our family, it was tough to coordinate with so many floors & elevator delays on this size ship, there are only so many floors you can walk up. The boardwalk is special and great for kids w/ carousel, climbing toy and shows! But, do they have to charge extra for popcorn and cotton candy? The piano bar was a favorite. Bigger kids love Sorrentos but they missed not having Ben and Jerry's. The activity deck had lots to do but needed better RC supervision, especially mini golf which was a free for all. The kids clubs for younger kids could be better at recruiting the kids to want to be there . . . my kids, 6 and 9, just didn't catch the "excitement" of the clubs when we stopped by (I wish they had but I was more disappointed then the staff of the clubs!). Watch out for the game rooms, our kids racked up over $100 in 1/2 hour with older cousins . . .it was an expensive lesson for all of us. 6pm scheduled Dinner time is the best for bringing the family together and allowing 23 of us to share the daily excitement and to coordinate our plan for that evening's entertainment. There are lots of great choices for dinner, some culinary delights, and some just good (but never less than good). The Dining Room staff was great again and very accommodating of all, especially the children. There can never be enough information to help everyone take advantage of all the fun. The computer system (booking excursions, etc. ahead of time) could be more user friendly from the website and the computer programs around the ship are a great idea but they are not as intuitive or as informative as they can be. Our rooms, mostly suites, were spacious and meticulous. "Suite life" with access to the 17th floor made the massive ship more personable and relaxing. A nice touch. Highlights: The Diving show, the comedians, Grease, the keystone cop like diving/ swimming show on Day 7 on the ship were great. Excursions: the Chuka Good Hope "Ultimate Thrill Seeker Adventure" tour in Falmouth, Jamaica (Daniela, Dwayne, Baboo and the ATV crew were so fun) and the Twister speedboat to Paradise Island in Cozumel were both so authentic and professional. Great port villages in Cozumel and Falmouth, they were beautiful cultural experiences. Labadee is a paradise too but don't let them crowd too many of you in one place, the water is Caribbean magic all around Labadee. Rafts and a Cabana make the day enjoyable. Bring cash in small bills for purchasing Haitian crafts or hand made items, it's fun to trade with the people of the island. We previously sailed on Liberty, that size ship was easier to manage for our very large group, but this was also a fully packed, awesome family adventure. Again, the professional, kind, diverse and interesting staff make the memories from Royal Caribbean . . . life long treasures! Read Less

I wanted to cruise on the newest ship from Royal Caribbean and enjoy the time with the family. We had cruised on Allure of the Seas before. My experience with Allure was far greater than this one. CD on Allure was Allan Brooks vs Bobby Brown on Harmony. There is no comparison. Allan was the best. Also, the main dining room (Silk) experience wasn't good at all. Food quality was mediocre. Service was so so. I felt like the the servers don't want to serve any alcohol in the main dining room. Whenever I need a refill, I had to call the server and ask for the refill. We ate in the main dining room two nights only. Then, I complain to to staff and then decided to eat in other places(Windjammer, Solarium Bistro, Chops Grille, and Jamie's Italian). They were all good. Our stateroom attendant (Fnu Samsudin) was great! My adult children stayed in a different room. One of my son was cruising 1st time. They had a great time. They are not as critical as me. They didn't have any complaints. Read Less

When the ship was in harbour we did not go to shore so we could enjoy the ship not so overcrowded but many of the activities was shut down because of lack of personnel. All day long there was very loud music playing around the pool so no relaxing by the pools. Loved the beverage packages worth every penny. Loved the shows, Grease, the fine line and Columbus was marveles also was the iceshow. our vaitor and the Stateroom attendant was very helpfull and nice. Read Less

The ship has a lot to offer in entertainment, activities and dining as well. You can be the whole trip inside the ship and you will have something to every time. We were in an interior cabin and have to tell that it is very well distributed and comfortable. Our experience at Grande Dining Room was excellent, Mary Jane did the best serving us. We enjoy the latin music at Boleros and 80s music at Dazzle. Some friends in our group went to Karoke nights and they had a lot of fun there. The only sad event was one day at Sea that we were seated around the pool and we were a group of friends chatting and celebrating that we met 3 years ago and somebody from the crew order us to lower the voice because it was disruptive to other guest. We didn't understood that because it was an open space were other people were chatting together and Live Band was playing there. It didn't make sense. We took a Catamaran excursion at Falmouth, Jamaica and frankly it doesn't woth the money. They take you to a beach that has a Margaritaville beach bar and you have to pay for drinks and food, doesn't have too many options and it is expensive.During the trip they will give you Beers and Margaritas as complimentary. We went to Xcaret Excursion, the place is beautiful you will need a couple of days to enjoy everything they offer. The excursion was suppossed to include a visit to 5th avenue at Playa del Carmen, the famous shopping area but the Tour Guide told us there was not enough time to do it. They need to be more organized, otherwise should eliminate that from the excursion. We went to one of the Specialty restaurants named Sabor Taqueria and have to tell you it woth the money. The guacamole, tacos and everything we taste there was delicious and they prepare a Sweet and Spicy Margarita that was spectacular. We were a grouo of 16 friends and overall we can say it was a great experience. Read Less

Unbeatable for money's worth, this ship is amazing, no need to leave it at ports. Best ship ever, this is my 13th cruise. From the fine tastes in art, decor to practical things like night lights in your cabin bathrooms, much thought was put into this currently the largest cruise ship in the world. Staff is as friendly as ever, food is the best and activities include zip lining, on top of surfing, ice skating in board High tech from touch screens everywhere to strong streaming power for texting and internet. The shows just keep the bar rising. Do not miss the water and the ice skating shows. Professional all the way with Olympic stars and the best musicians. The current Broadway show is Grease. Love making reservations for these, fighting 6,500 other ppl on board would not be fun Ship goes around the clear blue waters of the Caribbean, I just stay on the ship, why leave this paradise? Fav happy place is Central Park for breakfast and the running/walk track. Now excuse me, gotta go to look for a place I can hide when the ship returns to Lauderdale tomorrow, don't force me off this city of heaven! Read Less

Crew/staff was courteous, friendly and happy to be at services. There were various restaurants and dining areas to choose from. Plenty activities for all ages (My group of 19 family and friends to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. Ages ranging from children, pre-teens, teens, young adults, adults and elderlies). Outstanding service throughout the ship to satisfied all your needs. Ports staff/crew very helpful and always willing to help you. Extensive list of shore excursions that will leave you wanting more. My children loved the "freedom" they had to explore on their own. And my parents love the fact that they could do many of their favorite activities like bingo, trivia challenges, casino and more. Our two seniors were both in wheelchairs so we needed a fair amount of help with them, crew members were quick to assist us each day. We had no problem getting gluten and dairy free meals, and they also accommodated a diabetic traveling with our party. The shore excursions were great!. The teens were able to keep busy all day with the on board activity's, they really enjoyed the teen clubs in the evening and met many new friends from all over the world. The incentives for the next cruise could be a little more appealing, maybe have a bigger discount for booking while on board. I chose this cruise, because of past experience with Royal Caribbean. I wanted to relax with family and friends in a safe, clean, inviting environment. I did not want to worry about anything, other than enjoying a pampered life! We were able to relax with our grandchildren being totally free to roam the ship, and find numerous activities throughout the trip. We were able to gather in some magnificent bar areas and have drinks with family and friends. The shows were fun and entertaining. Being on such a large ship was different, yet it was so easy to learn the layout and get around easily. It was fascinating to watch the stafff handle all of the activities and people in such a smooth efficient manner. You never felt overwhelmed or overcrowded. The atmosphere was always relaxed and wonderfully paced. Being able to dine and mingle with new friends was totally fun. 4th cruise with RC. Overall, very good which is why we keep going back. This time I was disappointed with the main dining (dinner). Dining staff seemed short handed. Those who served us were friendly, professional and accurate but we felt rushed. Reminded me of a high school sports banquet. Never offered a cocktail before our meal. Mashed potatoes were instant. Chicken was dry. Beef was tasteless. Lamb shank however was awesome!! Most other non-beef options were good - very good. Menu options seem endless. 4 out of 5 stars! Had to knock RC one star for the food. Dining experience is what I enjoy the most on cruises. Chops however, was awesome but I was not prepared to pay extra every night. State Room Attendant was the very best I have experienced. Above and beyond. Tons of stuff to do. Read the Compass (daily paper) for selections. Book your excursions well BEFORE you sail. You can save some money by using the local taxi service on St. Thomas if you want to just see the island or go to a specific location like Megan's Bay. Overall, very good experience. Would certainly recommend and will repeat. Perhaps on a smaller ship. Read Less

Excursions were easy to plan and even found one after exiting the boat in St Kitts. Lots of shopping available on or off the ship at very reasonable prizes. This was the first boat I found that we could participate in activities with our kids. (Putt-putt, slides, surfing, etc.) Oh, yes and ice cream and cotton candy every day. Opportunities to rock climb, ice skate. Beautiful decor on the boat with a lovely Central Park on deck 8. Musical entertainment was professional. Dining room food was good to very good, service slow at times because of the number of people to serve. Very attentive dining room staff. Lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Windjammer buffet breakfast and lunch were superior to excellent. Ports of call were typical of the Caribbean cruises on most cruise lines. Varied excursions as usual. Fitness facility was superb but smelled smoke at times - probably a ventilation problem. In general a very good experience. One downside was having to pay for every little extra with service charges added on automatically. Also be prepared to spend time waiting in line at buffet when cruising all day. We had a family reunion with 18 people and 3 generations. I was the planner and worked on this for over a year and thought I had every detail nailed down. I was disappointed to arrive and have our dinner seating at 3 separate tables, even though I had specifically asked for a table for 8 and a table for 10. This was a big deal simply because it was the only time of day we all were in the same place at the same time to connect with each other. The wait staff was apologetic and it was fixed within a day. They then double checked with The cruise itself was amazing and the perfect venue for all of our different abilities, personalities and age groups. Each group always had something to do. We have sailed twice on the Oasis and I have to say the sports staff on the Harmony wasn't as great. I have a 12 year old son obsessed with basketball and TWO of the three activities he was able to do on the basketball court just didn't happen. There was no excuse, reason, or explanation- he just showed up to do it and as always the court was dominated by grown men. This was a big let down for him. He did occasionally squeeze himself into these games, but needless to say, he can't guard or play successfully with a 30 year old man. The teen group 12-14 wasn't really offered a lot of sports court time. Excursions: We have been to Nassau and hired our own boat (check Trip Advisor for choices). My husband did the Coral Reef and Coral Sea (I think that is what it is called) and it was horrible. There was no coral, they were trapped underwater without air conditioning while a guy snorkeled and brought random items to the window to impress them. Eight of our party went on this and they ALL hated it. (These were the glass is half full part of our party, too....) We did the volcano hike in St Kitts and it was... well, stressful and strenuous. It is a hurried, vertical 3 mile climb- NOT hike- up mud covered slick rocks where all you can think of is literally not falling and dying. NOT for anyone out of shape or under 16. I prayed the entire way up and down that the ten of us doing it would survive and not break any bones. If you like defying death or just want a solid 6 hours of cardio and a solid hamstring/glute/quad workout, go for it. My sister said it was the high point of her trip. (She is kid free and runs ten miles a day.) These are the only things we can think of that weren't amazing- it was a great way to spend a week with family and we already are planning on doing it again. The ship was still new and didn't smell of body odor- yet. The Oasis was quite smelly last spring! The food was amazing, plentiful, and of great variety. I could splurge and enjoy or have a kick butt salad. I only intermittently ran into family I was trying to avoid. We previously have stayed on deck 9 with a window out to Central Park, but went for a balcony on 12 this time. We didn't like it as much and will go back to level 9 next time because I felt the motion of the ship more and also WAAAAY more noise from the pools on 15 got into our room all day. Napping was impossible but night was mostly quiet- once they were done moving deck chairs. We all loved our cabin attendants and my cheap family members even tipped over and above because they had worked so hard. The shows were good and entertaining- not life changing but nice to watch. My sister went to the aqua show 4 nights in a row. My 12 yr old son says, when pressed, "There was stuff to do. You are never bored. It was lit." My 14 yr old daughter, when pressed, "It was nice and freeing... you got to do whatever you wanted. The free food was great." Not helpful, I know, but they are teens. As their mom, the simple fact that they asked to go back is answer enough:) We did Club Med Cancun last summer and the kids said this was way more fun. My nieces hated Club Med and loved this- they don't make friends on vacation easily but had a great time on ship. Read Less

We have been sailing with Royal Caribbean since 2008. We have cruised on Holland America, Disney, & Norwegian, but none have compared to Royal Caribbean! This new ship is pretty amazing though. It's huge, with a ton of activities for kids and adults, along with the entertainment. The Grease musical was the absolute best, I could have seen it 2 or 3 more times!!! We didn't enjoy the Ice Skating show, it seemed to be an ice skating musical show?? just kind of odd, and a lot of people were saying the same thing. The ice skating for the kids was packed. I think they need to lower the number of people on the floor. There were like 45 people skating at one time, hardly any room. I'm not sure if we would pick this particular ship again because we have had wonderful times on the other ships, and without as many people. I didn't like that there weren't as many shops on board, and I didn't see ice sculptures and carved fruit as I have before, so I guess it's give and take. The food was wonderful, and the rooms seemed to have more room and better layouts. Beautiful ship though. Read Less

Harmony of the Seas gave my family and I one of the best cruise experiences. Nothing compared to it. The embarkation was smooth. As soon as you were done going through security, we were allowed on the ship. The ship was outstanding. Both the appearance and the service. The staff welcomed you warmly, they were always willing to help and always had the answer. The cabin was spacious and cleaned only when we chose. They gave you a sign allowing you to either not be disturbed or allow them to clean. Dinning was easy access. There were places to eat everywhere. On the 16th floor, the WindJammer was available. Central park, there were places to stop eat or drink. Though there are three cruising days, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. There were shows throughout the day, games and competitions at various areas of the ship. But, when we aren't cruising, there were various shore excursions available. It made it very easy to find something to do, without running out of time. Overall, the week on Harmony of the Seas was an outstanding experience for not only me but my whole family. The ship, the cabin, dinning, entertainment, service and shore excursions were all amazing. Read Less

We have been on 3 Royal Caribbean cruises. Each cruise we went on the biggest ship of that year. First the Oasis, then the Allure, and finally the Harmony. We have yet to be disappointed, as the ships keep getting better and better. Each time we cruised we tried to experience something different we haven't done before (Yes, the ships are that big with tons of activities and entertainment). The staff is amazing everywhere on the ship, they are very thoughtful and courteous. The ships are so well constructed and made that you feel like your on a city on a boat. I barely feel any ocean movement every time me and my wife cruises. Me and my wife loved the central park section of the boat. (Great for couples) The food is fantastic. We eagerly can't wait to go on their next biggest ship the Symphony Of The Seas. Read Less

Everything was great from A-Z, it was a fantastic trip. I am very happy with the service, staff, ship and entertainment. The ship is so spacious and there is so much to do. There are so many restaurants to choose from we had dinner at a different restaurant ever night. The meal options are endless. I'm on a low carb diet and they accommodated me at every restaurant. The entertainment was awesome, the shows are very good and worth seeing. The rooms are very nice love the seating areas we had in our room and 2 TV's. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a lot of stores and every day they have a different special. I love that you can prepay almost everything (Drink Package, Internet, Arcade, Photos, Shore Excursions, Specialty Dining & Spa Services). They also have an Escape Room, Carousel and Ice Skating Rink for entertainment for the whole family. My Children had a fantastic time, they joined the Teen Club and they had a lot of activities planned for them. I would recommend any of the Oasis Class ships, they are fantastic and have something for everyone in your family. Read Less

It was a birthday gift from my father for my 50th that was one of the best vacations I have ever had! The culture and atmosphere of the ship was life-changing for my children and they will never forget it. Absolutely 5 stars all around. The staff treat you like royalty befitting their company name. Very organized and efficient at getting you on and off the ship in a timely manner, both for shore excursions and for disembarking and embarking. The shore excursions were fabulous, and there is always something new to do on the ship. The shows and performances were world class. Royal IQ app was a good and inexpensive way to keep in touch with the family even though we didn't purchase internet service. Never wanted it to end. I only wish it hadn't gone by so fast, but will never forget it! Will do again for sure! Read Less
