We booked the Harmony of the Seas because of the many activities for our 11 year old granddaughter. It was also the newest ship in the fleet and we were curious. We have been on the Oasis and the Allure, so we knew that it could get crowded at times, but we never felt crowded at all. We booked a grand suite which included so many perks that it made the extra money well worth it. Our granddaughter was busy 24/7. She loved the flowrider, the slides, the zip line, the rock climbing, the shows, and especially the kids' club. Her highlight was being included in the Celebrate parade on the last night. The Coastal kitchen for the suite guests was excellent, quiet, and had good food. We definitely will take more of our grandchildren on this ship. I just wish that they would ban smoking in the casino. People just go in there to smoke, not gamble. Read Less

Port Everglades very convenient to embark and disembark. Proceeded through very smoothly. Each direction was less than 30 minutes from time in car til boarded ship and vice versa. RCL does great job of moving process efficiently both ways and making as pleasant as possible. Harmony is beautiful new ship with much to offer, and also many quiet places to kick back and relax letting your worries wash away in the waters if you choose. Was great having 2 AT SEA days beginning of cruise to get acclimated to large ship and relax. The Ports of Call had great diversity all in one cruise. Labadee beach day was very nice way to end being ashore before another Sea Day. The shows were good - Columbus the Musical very fun and original! Fine Line Aquatics had great talent but theme was too deep for a relaxing vacation mode. Enjoyed the Last Day Aquatic fun show much more. Both Ice shows were fun. Ship Dance parties also entertaining. Read Less

Cruise was amazing. Ship had everything and more. Restaurants were delicious!! Well worth paying a little extra for the dining package. Entertainment was fantastic.....never a boring moment on this ship! Service was superb. Water sports were great.....definitely should at least try the flowrider at least once whether surfing or boogie boarding. It is a lot of fun or you can just sit and enjoy watching others. Either way a great way to soak up the sun while being entertained. We didn't travel with children however; there were some of the ship and they seem to really enjoy it as well. They had a place for young teens to hang out while also being supervised. They also had a younger children's play center the children could go to while the parents went to dinner or a show. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone trying to get a way and just relax. Read Less

We chose because of the ship. We usually cruise Royal Carribean but have never gone on such a large ship. Always something to do and all kinds of choices for dining. The spa is spectacular with many different services and plenty of room, the staff is very friendly and well trained at their particular service. The fitness center wa very nice. Staff was friendly and bar service was fast. Very very clean! We had no children with us but our next cruise will be with the grandchildren because there was so much for the kids to do on this ship. Embarkation and debarkation was as smooth as it could possibly be with so many people. Easy easy barely any wait. Shore excursions are pretty much the same as all of the cruises we have taken. Royal carribean makes it very easy to get to them. And did I mention CLEAN!!!!! Definitely recommend this ship. Read Less

We chose this ship for the amenities. We wanted something for all our children (10-17) to have fun with. Between the 4 pools, many hot tubs, 2 slides, dry slide and 2 flow riders, there was plenty to keep them busy having fun. The shows offered in the evening, were very professional and enjoyable...we saw most of them. The FINE LINE was a water show that you definitely shouldn't miss. The food was more than plentiful and really good. We only ate in the main dining room 3 dinners. We are a family that doesn't like to sit that long and get dressed up. We did the 2 formal nights...which was fun. The rest of the time, we ate in the Windjammer which we loved. Variety of food offered was incredible and you could just serve yourself. We did both RC excursions and excursions that we booked on our own. We definitely liked the ones on our own better. The RC one felt like were to structured and large. No ability to improvise. We were especially disappointed in Cozumel. We went to Chankanaab Park for the dolphin push, pull excursion. There was supposed to be time afterwards to snorkel.. The tour ended at 2;30 and the ship was leaving at 6:30. I asked the guide if we could just get a taxi back on our own instead of leaving so early and he said no...too hard to get a taxi and the park closed at 3:00. So, after the dolphin swim and picking out pictures (can't take your own and they are SUPER expensive) we ended up only having 45 minutes to rent equipment and snorkel. The park was still open and packed when we left and then we were dropped off in a shopping area outside the cruise area where we obviously were expected to shop. Next time, I would have checked with the actual park official and taken a taxi back. I felt like it was part of their directive to get us back shopping! We did a private tours in Jamaica (horseback riding and the Blue Pool with Liberty Tour) and a reef snorkel package in Cozumel - both were incredible. No rush...less stress...small groups ( in fact in Jamaica it was just my family of 6). Price was just as good as RC shore excursions and I felt we got a lot more personal service and more for our $. The ship was really big ( wear good walking shoes ). On average, I was walking 3-4 miles/day just getting from one activity to another. It's incredible...there is something for everyone. We were disappointed in cost to keep in touch with our kids. Had to purchase a zoom package and then pay for Royal IQ which allowed us to chat and call our kids, atleast in theory. We did have some technical problems with it, but it was better than nothing. I wish RC would offer a cheaper way for us to to communicate and keep track of our kids...like I said, it's a HUGE ship. OVerall, we loved our experience. IT was our first time cruising and we weren't disappointed. When we pulled into a port and talked to people that came off other ships, we couldn't help saying with pride that we were on the Harmony!!! Read Less

We chose this because we wanted a large ship with a lot of amenities. We had a large group, 12 total, three families. The ship is amazing, so beautiful and the service is excellent! We booked a grand suite and an inside cabin for our family of six, 2 adults and 4 boys ages, 16-22. We loved the suite, every nice, excellent service and the concierge's, Raj and Chakka are the hardest working people we have ever seen. They were on site by 2:00 pm on check-in day, (earlier than they should have been,) and continued to try to make our trip perfect ion every way until we disembarked and walked up to the customs and immigration. They are the best! The entertainment was fantastic, all the shows were great! We did specialty dining and it was wonderful. Loved all the places we ate, Chops, 150 Central Park, Wonderland, Jamie's Italian! The suite lounge was beautiful and Suite dining, Coastal Kitchen was great, we had breakfast only there. Wish we did lunch and dinner. The suite sun deck and bar was super especially our bartender, Dennis was great! Dennis was so friendly and accommodating! The entire trip was perfect!!! So happy we are looking to book another this year and the year after!!! Read Less

My family and I just returned from a week long cruise on board the Harmony of the Seas, and let me just say, what a FANTASTIC ship. In this lengthy review I will discuss every aspect of the ship and ports. -Background- This was my sixth cruise, fifth with Royal Caribbean (Navigator, Independence, Allure, Anthem, Harmony). Having sailed on an Oasis-class ship before, I was not expecting too much to be different. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find so many added features and enhancements compared to Allure and Oasis. -Embarkation- We flew into Fort Lauderdale the day before sailing to give us plenty of time for any mishaps. Thankfully there weren't any, and we were able to enjoy our time at the Courtyard by Marriott on Fort Lauderdale Beach (highly recommend). We used Lyft for transportation to and from both the airport and cruise terminal as it was only about $10 TOTAL each way for our family of 4 (huge savings compared to the hotel shuttle price of $8/person!). We arrived at the port a little after 10am because we wanted to be one of the first on the ship. Upon arriving, I didn't have the highest hopes for a speedy embarkation due to the MASSIVE amount of people leaving the port from the previous sailing. Besides fighting our way through traffic (which the Lyft driver did quite well), our boarding process was smooth as butter. We exited our car, loaded our luggage onto the carts, and walked into the terminal. With it being early there were no lines to get through security and no lines to meet with the check-in agent. After our SetSail passes were stamped, we simply went up the escalators and boarded the ship! We were in and out in about 15 minutes. Easy, breezy, beautiful. -Ship- Huge. Brilliant. Clean. Friendly. Throw any positive adjective in there and I'm sure it will describe Harmony of the Seas. This ship is a work of art. Being only a year old, everything was in perfect condition and still even smelled new. We found the ship quite easy to navigate as these Oasis-class ships are separated into 7 distinct neighborhoods (Promenade, Central Park, Boardwalk, Entertainment Place, Youth, Spa, and Pool and Sports). Along with RC's app Royal iQ (which has seen some HUGE improvements since I last used it on Anthem in Dec. '15), there are Way-finders set up on every floor by every set of elevators. Need to look at the Cruise Compass? It's there. Need to find where the closest restroom is? It'll tell you. Had too many drinks and don't remember how to get back to your room? It'll give you step-by-step instructions and a map on how to get back, and so much more. Overall, Harmony of the Seas possesses the greatest qualities of an Oasis-class ship combined with the technological wonders of a Quantum-class ship (ie Virtual Balconies, Voom High-speed internet, Royal iQ app, WOW bands, Way-finders, Bionic Bar, etc.). The staff on this ship were also far better than I expected. With the exception of one staff member, EVERY staff member I encountered was extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond for the passengers. They were always cleaning public areas, washing tables, fixing anything that needed attention, interacting with guests, and always smiling. We were very impressed. -Activities- It is clear that Royal Caribbean is building their ships to cater to a different market than before: the younger generation. With so many activities to do, there was never a dull moment on the ship. Along with two full pages of activities listed on the cruise compass, there was also rock climbing, ice skating, 3D movies, The Abyss, FlowRiders, mini golf, water slides, zip-lining, tours, and so much more to keep everyone busy. Even with over 6000 passengers on board, the longest we ever waited in line was maybe 20 minutes for rock climbing. Other than that, you would never guess there were that many people sailing. I was shocked at how many times I was the ONLY person in a certain part of the ship, meaning there's always a place to go for some quiet. One thing you CANNOT miss is Escape The Rubicon escape room. Royal Caribbean's escape rooms by PuzzleBreak debuted on the Quantum Class ships and have only gotten better from there. The one my family and I did on Anthem of the Seas was very underwhelming compared to the others we had done at home, but the one on Harmony was something else. For only $8/person (local games are around $30-$35/person) you get a state-of-the-art experience that any other escape room company would be hard-pressed to offer. Essentially, you get "locked" into a room for an hour and have to use the clues and hidden objects around the room to figure out how to escape. This was the most advanced and well-thought-out escape room I have ever done, and I am still impressed by it. -Entertainment- Oasis-class ships offer a wide variety of entertainment that you can't find anywhere else. There are musicals, parades, ice shows, aqua theater shows, and comedy shows that far surpass the quality of other ships. The shows on Harmony include musicals Grease and Columbus, aqua shows The Fine Line and Hideaway Heist, and ice skate shows 1887 and iSkate. The talent found on board Harmony blew us away as these performers were of Broadway and Olympic quality. Grease was by far our favorite, but one thing I must mention is the guest performer in iSkate. I can truly say he did something I have NEVER seen anywhere else. I won't give his act away, but he was so entertaining to watch. Other entertainment included the traditional Love and Marriage game show, The Quest, Headliner Showtime, countless music venues, and performers in different public areas. -Dining- Dining is probably the most complained about area I encountered when reading reviews, but we simply did not have anything to complain about. Sure we weren't astounded by every meal we were served, but the food was always hot, had a huge and seemingly endless variety, and it was all full of flavor. We dined at American Icon (the traditional main dining room), Cafe Promenade, Sorentos, Boardwalk Doghouse, Mini Bites, Vitality Cafe, Solarium Bistro, Park Cafe, and Wonderland. We also dined at Wonderland on Anthem of the Seas so I was expecting more or less the same thing, but surprisingly it was a completely different experience in the best way. If you are not picky about your food and love to be adventurous, I cannot recommend this specialty restaurant enough. Simply amazing. Tips - Solarium Bistro is completely underutilized and unknown to most guests, but I found the breakfast buffet far superior to the Windjammer buffet. I ate breakfast there on most days, always found a table, and never waited in line for food. For dinner, Solarium Bistro turns into a sit-down dinner experience with a menu accompanied by a Greek buffet. This venue is also free, but reservations are recommended. Again, not many passengers knew about this so it was not crowded at all. The Windjammer I avoided like the plague because I did not want to deal with 6000 grumpy, hungry passengers to start the day. However, I did choose to eat there twice: Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times I was blown away. The Windjammer on Harmony is HUGE. Bigger than I've seen on any ship. The first time I just went for a quick bite for lunch and there weren't many people. For breakfast, I arrived around 8:30 and there maybe 5 people in the entire place. FIVE PEOPLE THAT'S IT!! The food was fresh and piled high, and I could basically choose any seat I wanted. Now granted by the time I left a little after 9 it started to get more crowded, but dining crowds were never an issue for us, and that speaks volumes for the largest ship in the world. -Ports and Excursions- Labadee: This was our third time at Labadee so we chose to just do a beach day. My advice for first-timers (or anyone that doesn't know) is to walk or take the tram over to Columbus Cove. Almost everyone goes to Adrenaline Beach because its the largest beach and closest to the ship. However, chairs quickly fill up and the beach is very rocky. Columbus Cove is about a 10-15 minute walk from the ship, has a beautiful sandy beach, is not full of people, and also hosts the AquaPark. Royal serves a complementary BBQ lunch on the island, and in addition to the food pavilion at Adrenaline Beach, there is also one at Columbus Cove, along with many bars. So you get a nice beach, drinks, free food, and no crowds. Perfect for us! Falmouth, Jamaica: This was our second time at this port and we decided to do Resort for a Day. We booked third-party and chose the Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay. They provided free transportation to and from the port, and all the amenities of an all-inclusive resort during our stay (beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, non-motorized water sports, unlimited food and drinks, unlimited access to the beach, pools, and water park). The property was beautiful and I would highly recommend it IF you've already been to Jamaica. If not, book a tour that lets you experience the island itself. Cozumel: This was our second time in Cozumel; however, the first time we took a ferry over to the mainland in order to see the Mayan ruins, so we didn't get to see much of Cozumel. For this cruise, we booked a private dune buggy tour of the island, and let me tell you, this was the BEST excursion I have ever done. This tour was about 6 hours long that included a tequila tour/tasting, beach break, a visit to a lighthouse that we were able to climb, chocolate tasting, lunch, and snorkeling all for about $75/person. When not at one of these stops, were were driving along the coast in our buggy which was truly an unforgettable experience. This tour was also booked third-party through CozumelShoreExcursions.net, and the service we experienced from their employees was exceptional. Highlight of our vacation. -Disembarkation- Not much to say except that our experience was uneventful. We had a 3pm flight out of Fort Lauderdale so we were not in a hurry. We were out of our staterooms by 8am, had breakfast, and by the time we were done our numbers had already been called to leave so we just walked off the ship, found our luggage, and went through customs, I tried using the Mobile Passport app to expedite the customs process, but for whatever reason it kept giving me an error message. So even though we had to wait in line, it was still a quick process. Once outside we used Lyft to get back to the airport without and problems. -Summary- Overall, my family and I have zero complaints about any aspect of our vacation. The ship is simply breathtaking and operates like a well-oiled machine. Crowds were never a problem, activities were endless, crew was fantastic, and food was very good. If you have never tried an Oasis-class ship, it is definitely a different experience than you get from any other ship from any cruise line. They are more fast-paced which is great for kids and families. Harmony of the Seas itself is distinct from Oasis and Allure in that it also has some aspects of a Quantum-class ship along with some extra added goodies. Given the chance we would certainly choose this vacation again. Read Less

First - I'll say that I wrote a thread while on the ship with a lot more detail than I'll post here. It was labeled "Currently on the Harmon - 6/17 through 6/24" if you'd like to review that as well. This was our second cruise on RCL and we intend to stick with them for a while to build up some C&A privileges. Our last cruise (2016) was on Anthem but this was our first cruise on an Oasis Class Ship. It was spectacular. We really enjoyed almost everything about the vacation (celebrating daughter's HS graduation). Embarkation out of FLL was a breeze. There was quite a bit of traffic congestion when we arrived, but that's because we came a bit early. Even with the congestion, we were on the ship rather quickly. Overall Ship: I'm not sure we ever had a great sense of direction while walking the decks (not remembering to go right/left from our room to get to the Boardwalk or the Royal Theatre). Therefore, it is as large as you imagined. However, every detour just led us to more adventure and, to be honest, there were plenty of directories and reference points we just didn't utilize. The Royal Promenade never felt too crowded except during the parades. Central Park and the Boardwalk also never felt over-crowded. The only area I really felt the "school's out for summer" crowds was on the pool deck and the miniature golf. Entertainment: Fabulous shows overall. We caught most of them. A recommendation is to book all of your shows as early in the cruise as possible as you can always expect a possible "technical difficulty" issue. Our impacted show was Columbus but we were easily able to reschedule without missing another. The talent level (specifically at the Royal Theatre and the aquatic shows) was incredible. Dining: We really wanted to try the Specialty Restaurants this time around. This is the 2nd cruise where we were a bit disappointed in Chops. However, Izumi Hibachi, Jamie's, Wonderland and 150 Central Park were top notch. We only utilized the MDR for one dinner and it was nice - but no where near the food quality of the restaurants. Team: Captain Johnny and Cruise Director Abe were definitely my favorites of any cruise I've been on. We enjoyed the opportunities to hear from them and the meet/greets. They really do seem to love what they do and that comes across to the guests. Ports: We enjoyed all three. In Labadee, we rented a Columbus Cove Cabana. This was a bit of a splurge for us but felt it was money well spent in the end. Loved having the "home base" while relaxing on the beach there. The kids did the zipline. I would have loved to do it as well but I just can't get past the price of $100 for one pass on the zipline as cool as it might be. In Jamaica, we actually just explored the port terminal. We had already scheduled a Puzzle Break on the ship that day so couldn't go too far. It was a nice experience but probably need an excursion next time... In Cozumel, we experienced one of our all time favorite excursions - Mexican Cuisine and Tasting. The family enjoyed Playa Mia and learned a lot from our cooking class. Louis was a great teacher and very personable. Overall, a tip of the hat to the crew. There were two different tropical storms nearby for this entire cruise but the ship was able to maneuver around them both and we were blessed with great weather at each port (whereas it might have rained a week straight before we arrived). Challenges: Nothing is perfect and, although I'm rating this an Excellent, there were a few kinks to work out. 1 - The Wifi was definitely tested with the number of passengers on board. The bandwidth simply couldn't keep up with the demands at times. 2 - Royal IQ was great but it never did show my specialty dining reservations which made scheduling the rest of the activities a little more difficult. 3 - I had the non-alcoholic drink package as I drink a few too many lattes each day. I was under the impression (from my pre-cruise research) that espresso drinks were available in the Park Cafe. That was not correct on this cruise. While I was looking forward to enjoying my latte at the Park Cafe, I instead had to venture to the Cafe Promenade which was not as appealing. Overall - we had a great time and are looking forward to our next RCL vacation. Read Less

We chose this cruise so we could celebrate our 50th anniversary with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Being on the Harmony earlier in the year, we already knew that the children would absolutely love all the things there would be for them to do. They didn't have enough days in the week to see and do everything. They actually liked this cruise even better than a cruise we went on from a cruise line with characters. The only thing I missed was a swimming pool in the solarium. When I used the adult pool outside, it was so small and crowded that we were just kind of standing there and getting wet. You were in the sun constantly and there was no shade nearby. We thought the food was tasty, although many of the items were fancier than we like. We didn't see many (if any) comfort food meals to choose from. If we didn't care for the dining room menu, we could always go to the Windjammer or any other venue. Loved the ice cream social for Diamond and up! Nice touch! Read Less

We were constantly amazed at the level of professionalism and care each one demonstrated. Getting to meet the Captain and chatting with him was extra special. Capt. Johnny is very personable and witty. He shared many sea stories and it was most memorable to see him in a pair of red and green socks denoting port and starboard. We chose Royal Caribbean's, Harmony of the Seas, because it was highly recommended by friends. This ship is absolutely spectacular and the staff is wonderful. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make our trip incredible. In Labadee, Haiti, we went to Barefoot Beach and had hilltop cabana #1, which had a great view and close enough to the water that it was easy to walk down for a swim. Floating on the beach mats was heavenly. In Falmouth, Jamaica, we went to Blue Hole and went tubing. Blue Hole is stunning and was tons of fun cliff jumping into the refreshing cool water. The guides there were outstanding and friendly. It was about an hour to hour and a half drive, but well worth it, and also gave you a view of what Jamaica is really like. In Cozumel, Mexico, we did the ATV's and Beach Club. The ATV's were fun and everyone loved it. The ATV guides are fantastic and made sure everyone was safe and informed. The beach club wasn't so great and we only had about an hour or so there. I could have skipped that. Everyone enjoyed the restaurants at the pier and the shops. I would probably pick exploring the underground water caves if I had to do it again. Let's just say, everyone on our trip rated it a 10/10, and we didn't want it to end. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to go back. Read Less

We chose this cruise to be on this amazing ship. I was a little worried about the number of people (6K guests), but RC does an amazing job distributing people throughout the ship. As you would expect it can get crowded in certain places at certain times, but those are fairly rare. The Royal IQ solution to booking shows is an easy way to make sure you have a seat when the time comes. The staff and waiters are excellent. The room is also great and well laid out to maximize your limited space. I would ignore all the up-selling that they bombard you with before the cruise. I would suggest trying out the main dining room before spending the extra dollars for their specialty restaurants. Drinks are expensive, but they offer a discounted 10 drink punch card after you are on the ship for a few days. It was a great experience!! I would do it again. Read Less

During the day, when we did not stop at a port, we enjoyed relaxing by the beautiful pools. It was so nice that they had an adult only pool, which was great for us. For those with young children there was a kid pool and many activities for children of all ages. There definintely is something for everyone on this ship. They had non-stop activites all day long and into the evening. We cannot forget to mention the amazing and professional staff on the ship. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. I cannot think of one complaint that I would write about over the course of my 7-day cruise on the Harmony of the Seas via Royal Caribbean. This was by far the best vacation I have taken my teenage (18 and 20) daughters on. Our statesroom attendant was top notch. We booked our airline travels via Royal customer service the day we set sail, and we flew out of FL (back home) the day of disembarkment - we did not have any hotel/car expenses outside of the cruising dates. We booked some shore excursions through customer service prior to embarkation. We also had no problems booking 2 excursions once we entered the port. We saw so many strollers (with young kids) and wheelchairs (with older persons). It truly is a vacation for any age and/or disability. Absolutely AMAZING vacation - I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun filled, memories-to-be-made vacation. Read Less

Dog house hotdogs were great. My husband and I had a complimentary dinner at Chops.superb service and food. Read Less

We chose this cruise to bring our grandsons for an excellent experience. I chose adjoining cabins on the Boardwalk and we were very satisfied with this choice that we will book future cruises in the Boardwalk location. As an added incentive there were were perks for booking a cabin in the boardwalk area. We enjoyed the selection of restaurants especially Chops and Jamies Italian restaurant. We enjoyed the dining experience an the Wonderland restaurant and enjoyed an excellent dining experience. The boys enjoyed many hours on the Flowrider. The used the exercise room at the Vitality Spa and the other ship board activities. The stop at Nassau was good but the shore time was short. We chose a snorkel and beach day while at St. Thomas that we were very satisfied and did a snuba tour while a St Kitts and we were very satisfied with this tour.Go and have an enjoyable time. It was our first family cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Harmony and her staff are amazing. We particularly liked the evening entertainment. Grease and Fine Line were our favorite. We ice skated, zip lined, rock climbed, went on the Abyss and the water slides as well as relaxed for a great deal of the time. The food and the drink service was great. The brewed coffee - I'd skip that. We went snorkeling in Nassau and it was great, had a nice time with our excursion. We did our own thing in St. Thomas and St. Kitts (look for Periera Tours on Facebook - Liz can help you out). On our return we booked an airboat excursion with Royal in the Everglades and it wasn't as long as we anticipated and we didn't see any wildlife because the Everglades are currently flooded). We may choose to do another cruise - but probably a more northern one - Alaska or somewhere in Europe. Read Less

A wonderful experience!!! The spectacles in the theater had a high quality in all aspects, performances, scenery, costumes, music, audio, lights. We received very good attention from all the staff who attended us. We only received bad attention from a waitress who attended us during a breakfast that we did in the main room, breakfast was not at our table all night. The food was very good quality and presentation. The cleanliness of all the rooms was excellent. We traveled with our son and his girl, the attention to the children and their security was very good. The safety of the passengers in general was excellent. The schedule of activities in the evenings is also very good. The presentation of the captain and his staff excellent, elegant and entertaining. We have already thought of another trip on RoyalCaribbean cruises when our economy allows us to. Thanks to all the staff of the company for their attention and dedication. Good trip always. See you! Not too long ago in a galaxy very close to your own... We stayed at the Hyatt Place, free pickup from the airport, within walking distance for Chipotle, Burger King, Taco Bell and Target. You can schedule a van to take you to the Pier one way or round trip. One way is about $12 a person. We arrive about 10:00 AM checked in and walked right onto the right ship. We had a backpack with swimsuits and other necessities until our room opened. You step on the ship the middle of the Grand Promenade. Tip: If you haven't yet made your excursions (or they were full on-line), bought your drink package, reserve your shows or If you want a Wow band to open your door /purchasing other things for you and or your family Now is the time to do so. We did a self-guiding tour of the ship before the other 5,000 people boarded. We had a nice lunch at the Park Cafe. We enjoyed the food from all areas of the ship (Ya I know everyone's taste is different). Tip: Stay away from the Windjammer on Sea days instead have a lunch in the main dining room at no extra cost. You can order off the menu or try their buffet or both. Selections change daily. For breakfast eat in the Solarium Bistro or mini bites on deck 15. Fine Line and Hideaway Heist (the water shows) were different but enjoyed the show nevertheless. Both ice skating shows 1887, iSkate are a can't miss. Grease and Columbus were great. Excursions were great the Kayak, Hike Snorkel in St. Thomas was the highlight for us. Disembarkation was a breeze, we chose to carry our luggage and walked right off the ship at 7:30. The Abyss, waterslides, zip line and rock climbing wall were great. Tip: If the line is long (especially on sea days) you may want to wait later in the evening when there is no line You must do the escape room (minor extra cost per person) highly recommend to pre-schedule it before you board, otherwise, it may be sold out. If you are gret at puzzles or terrible at them you will have a great time. Final Thoughts - Elvira did a incredible job keeping the cabin clean. Owen and Mauricio were the best waiters in the main dining room. Was everything perfect no but the stuff that was not perfect only amounted to little things (aka finding a way to make lemonade), Overall the trip was a smashing success. I would do it again in a NY minute, now back to your regularly scheduled programming... Read Less

This ship is amazing, so much to do! We loved our time on the ship and I cannot wait to cruise again on it. Everyone from the security to the Suite Guest Coastal Kitchen employees were amazing. Not one bad interaction with anyone. Everyone was helpful. The FINE LINE show was great! It was a synchronized swimming meets circ de sole. DON'T MISS THIS! Although an extra charge, Escape the Rubicon was well worth every penny. It is a space ship styled escape room and it was one of my favorite things to do! If you have access to the Suite Deck, lounge, and Coastal Kitchen this is a must! The service in these area is top notch and I we will never book anything that does not include these amenities again. Do your research so you do not miss anything this amazing ship has to offer! We did and we made sure to hit everything! Read Less

Past experience with Royal Caribbean cruises have been exciting, adventureseome, relaxing, and just what we planned. We enjoyed the spectacular shows including the singing , dancing, specila effects that Grease offered. The ice skating shows were entertaining and awesome, but the Aqua show, FineLine, was beyond belief and expectations. The diving was phenomenal. The other shows were also very good. Food and service in the dining room was excellent. The Windjammer, eh, some of the food was just satisfactory, and more options should have been offered. Excursions were great and well organized. We were on the St Marten afternnon beach break, which was very relaxing , and enough time. The beach was beautiful. Enjoyed walking to the fort in San Juan, exploring with our grandson, and he loved flying a kite in the park area. We do feel that more time should have been alloted for this port. We did not get to do all of the things that we had hoped for. Labadee was so relaxing, beautiful, and our favorite port. The barbeque was nice, but variety of food could have bee better. All in all, our vacation was wonderful, memorable, and fun, and we are planning our next Royal Caribbean cruise soon!!! Read Less

There is something for everyone onboard Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas. I celebrated my birthday cruising at sea. My day began with a delightful breakfast buffet at the Windjammer Marketplace then I was off to the Spa and was greeted by welcoming staff for a wonderful massage and total relaxation followed by a free health and wellness presentation. The Vitality Spa services are endless. I then proceeded to the Royal Promenade for some shopping before a sumptuous lunch at the Solarium Bistro while taking in the fresh air and ocean views. I enjoyed the Let's Celebrate Parade of crew in flamboyant costumes depicting holidays and birthday celebration before spending the afternoon soaking and swimming in one of the many pools and enjoying the Sand Bar and pool volleyball. I took in the sights at the Sports Zone including the Flowrider, basketball and miniature golf. Onboard entertainment options are endless. I returned to my cabin and sipped on a glass of wine on my stateroom balcony overlooking Central Park while enjoying the sounds of Piano in the Park. That night was the Captain's Welcome Aboard Reception so it was time to get ready for my first formal night. I entered the Silk Dining Room where I indulged in a magnificent dinner and decadent desserts before enjoying two shows that evening. The Comedy Show was hilarious. The Attic is an intimate setting where both comedians shined. Then I proceeded to the Royal Theater for the musical performance of Grease which was exhilarating and very entertaining. The cast outdid themselves portraying the familiar characters and belting out the songs. Before returning to my cabin I tried my luck on the slot machines in the casino and enjoyed the sights and sounds of all that surrounded me. On my way back to my cabin I enjoyed a stroll throughout the ship and enjoyed the many displays of art. Once my head hit that pillow I was off for a restful night's sleep after a fun and relaxing day at sea. It was the ultimate birthday and that was only Day 2 of the cruise! There was so much more to look forward to. My 91 year old father, who was cruising with me, enjoyed the entertainment and shows immensely as well as the food venues. He met many passengers, enjoyed the many pools and strolling on the Pool and Sport Zone Deck observing children of all ages having fun and enjoying the water sports. People are always interested in hearing about his service in the US Navy in the Pacific during WWII. It's not uncommon for me to find him with people of all ages gathered around him. The accessible accommodations both aboard ship and ashore are outstanding. He was able to enjoy the many amenities without assistance. We went on two accessible excursions while in St Maarten and San Juan and enjoyed the beach and BBQ on Labadee. Our cruise director, Abe Hughes, was superb! He was entertaining, funny, informative and full of enthusiasm. Abe took the time to personally introduce himself when he noticed my father wearing his WWII cap. He extended an invitation to the Veteran's Get Together as the only WWII Veteran he believed was onboard the ship. He was genuinely interested in meeting my father and shared his grandfather's experience during WWII. As we entered the room we couldn't help but notice the Veterans of all generations. It was a humbling experience for me as Abe introduced my father and asked him to open the session. As my father spoke Abe and the other Veterans and passengers in the room listened intently and expressed their respect and gratitude to my father as a representative of all WWII Veterans both living and no longer with us. He was followed by other Veterans who were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their experiences. The room was filled with many Veterans representing all branches of service. The camaraderie in the room was moving. It was an emotional time for many and a much welcomed opportunity for the Veterans and their loved ones to partake in. It was surprising to see how the Veterans immediately bonded after meeting for the first time. We have been on many cruises before and this was the first time we witnessed veterans recognized and honored for their ultimate sacrifices while serving. We sincerely thank Royal Caribbean and Abe for this event. The crew's smiles and commitment onboard Harmony of the Seas are genuine and tell it all. The variety and numerous selection of excellent entertainment, shows and cuisine we experienced rivals no other at sea. The themed neighborhoods make for an exciting choice of venues for all ages. So whether your one year old or 91 years old cruising onboard RCL's Harmony of the Seas is an experience not to be missed. You will have the time of your life. We can't wait to go on another Royal Caribbean Cruise! Read Less

Wanted to try Harmony of Sea, we have been on many of Royals ships and this is by far our best experience. From the ships Captian to the Folks cleaning the deck, everyone is glad your there. This was also the easiest boarding and exiting process of any of our previous cruises, very organized, on time and smooth. We usually get a Veranda Room but this time splurged and got a Jr Suite, so much more room, bigger balcony and bathroom with full size tub, walk in closet, were spoiled now. Of course the Food was delicious in the main dinning room, we ate at Chops one night for great Steaks, and Solarium Bistro one night, great food, and service. Royal Caribbean has really done a great job on this ship, 6100 guest on board, but never seemed crowded, so many different things to do. Grandkids had a blast, pools, water slides, zip lines, golf, and wave rider. Wore them out. Great vacation, no phone, no news, no worries. Read Less

The food is always excellent and cleanliness is a top priority. Entertainment shows are really top notch ... especially liked Grease and the Aqua Show. My only complaint with Royal Caribbean is that I always gain weight. The spa and fitness center are excellent and my wife enjoyed getting her hairdo redone! I like the on board shopping and the automated bionic bar was fabulous. Also, the casino was great and do not overlook getting the drink package! Thank you Royal Caribbean for doing everything possible to making your guests feel like they are always number one! It is probably the dedication of all the staff that always makes cruising with Royal such an enjoyable experience. And a new perk really impressed us: we had our luggage sent directly to our home city and even our board passes were delivered to us ... what a pleasure this was! Read Less
