Sailed 02 Sept 2017 and 01 Sept 2018. The amenities, activities and enjoyable fun locations throughout the ship are truly something to behold and be enjoyed by vacationers of any age. The staff is amazing, friendly and courteous to a fault. The menus has changed and so have the options as well as the food. The food 2017 was excellent wherever you dined, this year, the main dinning room food was barley fair to good and the dinning room was under staffed. Specialty Restaurants are a different story, excellent as always. The private Island is always a treat for all ages and offers something for everyone. Jamaica has a nice secure shopping area and all excursions should be booked through RCCL. Jamaica is not the place to wander off or try to save a few dollars. Mexico can be fun for all All the shows are professionally done and are not to be missed. The Harmony is the destination for a fun family vacation. Read Less

We were so disappointed when we learned ( after we boarded) we had to book all on board shows ahead of time.- we didn't get the full experience of the cruise. When I called RC, they wanted to help me book excursions, but they never said--{hey can we help you book your shows on board). When you are on vacation, you hope you have some flexibility in your schedule---That is what VACATION is all about. Everything was extra, no room service without a cost. The formal dining was awful, what happened to the waiters that were all about service . . That was not how it used to be. The buffet was good! Compared to years past, the food in the main dining rooms was so below average. What a disappointment for the money---no more cruising with you for us.. We have been cruising with you since 1991--the quality has dropped so much yet the prices keep going up. We sailed from Ft Lauderdale 5/26/18 with 8 of us in total, 3 of which have never cruised. Royal Caribbean was always our go to cruise line, but no more. We will be looking for a cruise line that meets our needs and is upfront about the costs.. Read Less

I chose this cruise, because of past experience with Royal Caribbean. I wanted to relax with family and friends in a safe, clean, inviting environment. I did not want to worry about anything, other than enjoying a pampered life! We were able to relax with our grandchildren being totally free to roam the ship, and find numerous activities throughout the trip. We were able to gather in some magnificent bar areas and have drinks with family and friends. The shows were fun and entertaining. Being on such a large ship was different, yet it was so easy to learn the layout and get around easily. It was fascinating to watch the stafff handle all of the activities and people in such a smooth efficient manner. You never felt overwhelmed or overcrowded. The atmosphere was always relaxed and wonderfully paced. Being able to dine and mingle with new friends was totally fun. Royal Caribbean has won us over for life with the Harmony of the Sea experience. We are looking forward to the arrival of the newest member of the "Royal Family" next year! Read Less

I chose this cruise because of how fun I viewed the activities on board and also the destinations. Royal Caribbean did very much deliver a wow this time like every other time. On the ship, there was always something to do and it was quite fun with the activities, Vitality Spa, Gym, Central Park, Boardwalk, and the pool areas. If adults like to get away they can also leave their children in Adventure Ocean kids club. The dining was excellent. The crew was very nice and awfully funny. Some came from very distinct backgrounds. There were always places to do things, and the entertainment was astonishing. First we saw Grease, Then I went over to see the fine line (which by the way, in my opinion was the best) Then the rest of the cruise went went to see an ice skating show, ventriloquist, Bingo, And also many scavenger hunts. Overall the ship was the best I've ever been on. The cabins also by the way were not cramped at all. Read Less

We decided two years ago to book our first back 2 back cruise in the Harmony of the Seas which was still under construction at that time. We booked Grand Suite 14260 for ourselves and the closest interior stateroom 14271 for our two adult children. We flew out of Newark Liberty Airport on March 31st (day before) and stayed at the Clarion Hotel about 15 minutes from both the airport and cruise port. The Clarion was perfect for our overnight. It was very clean and easy walking distance to several places to eat lunch and dinner. We hired Dynasty Transportation (Jose) for our travel needs. Jose picked us up the next day and we arrived at the Harmony just before they started to board. After checking-in, we waiting about 20 minutes in the area of the cruise port reserved for suite guests. Just before 11 am, the announcement came for us to board. We were the first people to board the ship and our fantastic vacation was fully underway. Tha Harmony of the Seas is a massive cruise ship with so much to do you might never leave the ship for two weeks. My wife and I decided to make this cruise our first back 2 back cruise because we heard that one week wasn't enough time from our friends who sailed on the Oasis and Allure. The Harmony is slightly larger but the same basic design. Upon boarding we went to Windjammer to grab a bite to eat. Windjammer's food was good for a large buffet operation. It had basic lunch food that would be expected. This was our fourth Royal Caribbean ship (Explorer, Liberty, Anthem and now Harmony). Harmony's food is the best that we have experience on any ship. That is not to say that the other ships had bad food, they do not. The Harmony is just better, at least during these two weeks. My wife and I are Diamond Plus members. This allowed us to receive tours of the Bridge, backstage at the Theater and the Galley. The tours were very interesting and informative. Our Grand Suite status gave us all-day access to Coastal Kitchen Restaurant for our meals and evening access to Suite Concierge for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. All of these perks added to the wonderful experience of our cruise. Our Grand Suite was on deck 14. We had a great view when leaving and arriving at all ports of call. Our stateroom attendant (Carl) was wonderful. He cleaned and made-up our room everyday after we left for breakfast and again in the evening once we left for dinner. Our adult children had an equally wonderful stateroom attendant (Kendrick). They both treated us like family and we could not rate them high enough for their professionalism and effort. In fact, we didn't meet any stateroom attendant who didn't greet us with a warm hello. The staff in Coastal Kitchen and Suite Concierge was also exceptional throughout the two week cruise. Jeremias and Mohamed were the concierge along with Mary who handled the bar. Our dinner server was Bojan. The hostess was Ursula. All of these great professionals treated us like family. We ate 10 of our 14 dinners in Coastal Kitchen. We also ate two dinners in the main dining room (Lobster Night) along with one each in Jamie's Italian and 150 Central Park. We didn't have a bad meal in 14 days. Breakfast was always in Coastal Kitchen and lunch was throughout the ship but mostly in American Icon on deck 3. American Icon had a great salad bar for lunch and the most fantastic desserts. The ship itself is a destination. There are three pools on deck 15 along with a large children's water area. The solarium in the front of the ship was made up of three decks. There were five large slides, 2 dry slides (Abyss) and 3 water slides. On deck 8, you had Central Park with stores and restaurants. On deck 6, you had Boardwalk with shops, eateries and the magnificent Aqua Theater. On Deck 5, you have the Promenade with stores and eateries in a very large area. Also on Deck five is a covered running track. It takes 2.4 laps for a mile. The fitness room and Spa is on deck 6 forward, very large and well equipped with modern equipment. On deck 4 you had the studio B (ice rink) and the casino along with the comedy club. The Royal Theater is on Decks 4 & 5. The shows and entertainers were excellent. My favorite was the diving show called the Fine Line. I saw it three different times. Our two weeks on the Harmony allowed us to visit 6 Caribbean ports of call. The Eastern leg included Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. The Western leg was Labadee, Falmouth and Cozumel. In the middle, we returned to Fort Lauderdale to change passengers because our two week cruise was actually 2 one week cruises. We had been to all of these ports before on other cruises. Labadee (RCI's private area) is our favorite Caribbean stop because it is spectacular. Our cruise was a ten out of ten. We rate it as our best vacation along with the year we took two land vacations, one to Colorado and the other to Beaches on Turks and Caicos. After a week, my wife and I went to Next Cruises to book 3 or 4 new cruises for 2019. We always book between one and a half and two years out. We have two more RCCL cruises already scheduled for later this year. As you can tell, we are huge Royal Caribbean fans. Read Less

We wanted to escape the winter and met up w/friends already booked on this cruise. We didn't pick this ship for any other reason. I've noted some interesting points made from other posters that we also noted: the fitness room smells v. smoky as soon as the door opens (definite HVAC issue); a lot of South American families on holiday Jan 14-21, it seems every other room was a group of young girls attending a Quinceanera; the food was good, not great in the main dining room, Windjammer and Solarium; the shows were quirky/fun and some seemed to be trying to channel Cirque de Soleil, and many of the audience members had clearly never attended a Broadway/London show; the enormous size of the ship created crowds and lines at dining (people were standing and eating outside the women's bathroom on arrival because of lack of seating in Windjammer); MyTime dining is code for: "make a reservation and be prepared to stand in line anyway"; arrival (11:30 am) and departure (7:25 am and carried our own luggage off) was smooth and quick; the ship reminds me (and apparently others) of a shopping mall and every opportunity to upcharge you is presented on the trip. Labadee was an excursion to do without. Wear water shoes, as the water/shore is rocky. The fence topped with barbed wire surrounding the beach speaks for itself. Picked up a Jamaican tram tour outside the ship and it was well worth the $26. Sassy and informative travel guide. I wish I could remember her name. Cozumel was the best. Safe! Negotiated a taxi to the Mayan ruins and a grocery store. Wish we would've had more time here. The restaurants on the ship were so loud. All of them. For one brief moment I heard Adele singing. The workers are clearly working hard with low pay and they are clearly dependent on tips not distributed through the general 18% distribution formula. The 2 bottle wine allowance is a nice gesture by RC. I think everyone could carry aboard 2 bottles without getting their bottles confiscated. Reserve seats early in the Solarium area for use later in the day, everyone does this. FYI: Young couples "sleep" in the domed cabanas in the solarium....so bring your Lysol wipes. Read Less

Here's a short review of our 2-weeks on the Harmony of the Seas. We are actually on our last full day at sea. Tomorrow we disembark at Fort Lauderdale. Ship: The Harmony is fantastic. It is huge, of course, and the fact that it has so many distinct areas (neighborhoods), you really don't realize there are 6,000 + passengers on board. Overall, the crew is outstanding - always friendly and helpful. We continue to be amazed how hard they work for very long periods of time. Cabin: We were in a balcony stateroom on the 14th deck. We have cruised 10 -12 times (don't keep track) on RCL, Princess, Celebrity & Carnival. This was the best cabin ever. Lots of storage (2 closets) and a shower that was the biggest one we've ever experienced. Our cabin attendant was wonderful as was his supervisor. Only very minor complaint, if you can call it that, was that you could hear foot traffic and chairs being moved from time to time on the deck above (pool deck - need I say more). Dining: We ate in the MDR for dinner except for specialty dinners at Chops, Wonderland and Izumi. Wonderland was uniquely unique! Chops was great and Izumi was great and fun! MDR was mostly very good. Only bad experience was wedge salad. Blue cheese dressing was horrid! We ate occasionally at the Windjammer - food good - passenger behavior not so much (typical in all buffets we have experienced). Our favorite places to eat or snack was Park Café in Central Park and Café Promenade. BTW - Royal Caribbean has the best brewed coffee on any of the cruise lines we've been on (Seattle's Best). I hope they never change! We also ate at Johnny Rocket's - great! Overall, the food was excellent. We have a hard time understanding all the complaints about the food we see on the boards and reviews. Believe me - you won't go hungry on this ship. Entertainment: Excellent!! Grease, Columbus, 1873 (ice show), aqua show and headliner shows were great. These folks are very talented and the special effects in the venues were great. The selection of shows was the best we've experienced on any ship. Service: Outstanding. As I previously stated, the entire ship staff we found to be wonderful. Ports & Excursions: Our itinerary was changed on the 1/7 sailing due to a storm in the Atlantic so we missed St. Thomas and Nassau but got to visit Labadie twice as well as St. Martín, Cozumel, San Juan and Jamaica (not in order). Ports were typical with the usual array of diamond, gem and t-shirt shops. That's not our thing so we pretty much ignore the ports. We did snorkeling in Cozumel which was fun. Our only other scheduled excursion was in St. Thomas but that was cancelled, of course. Other Observations: Most crowed place on the ship: The elevators Least crowded place on the ship: The stairs. We tried to take the stairs most of the time (both up and down). 144 steps from Deck 5 (Royal Promenade) to deck 14 (our stateroom level). Good aerobic workout! Running/Walking Track: Very good (2.4 laps to the mile). Not very crowded most of the time. Fitness Center: Well equipped. Only downside - somehow the smoke from Casino finds its way into the Fitness Center. RCL's mechanical engineers missed this one, for sure! Passengers: Very 'International' flavor on both weeks. Cultures are different and queueing up means different things in different cultures. My advice for what it's worth - be patient (I have a hard time with this at times). RCL Upselling: Frankly, it's over the top and annoying. But that's the cruise industry norm on the mass ships, I guess. I am amazed at the crowds in the Royal Promenade swarming around tables to buy a $10 watch or handbag! Reminds me of Walmart sometimes. From the Spa to drink packages to shore excursions to diamonds, to photo packages to gemstones, RCL makes a pitch at every turn. But - turn that part of your brain off and ignore it (hard to do at times). Overall: A wonderful ship which is a destination in itself. We would cruise on this ship again. Read Less

Harmony is a great ship. They fixed issues from the Allure and Oasis. Easy to get around and find everything. Embarkation was fast and easy. Windjammer lunch was easy as it appears roomier than the other Oasis ships. Rooms ready on time. Cabins have the best layout of any ship we have been on. Dining was an issue as they did not have our table for traditional dining. We were forced into my time dining for two nights. We hate my time didning as the waiters are so rushed they do not have any time for your table. Food good most nights. Entertainment was good. Ship did not feel crowded except last sea day on deck. All staff on this ship seem to be very friendly but they do seem to be overworked. Port were changed due to bad weather. Stayed on the ship during port days as we had the ship almost to ourselves. Main problem with the ship was with other guests. Majority of guests were from South America. Their kids ran around the ship in packs and were disruptive at all hours. Adults were rude and would push their way in front of anyone, including people with canes and in handicap scooters, They would tie up the bars trying to get multiple drinks on a single drink card. One group above us would just throw trash over the balcony. We will be much more careful next trip not to choose a week that is a holiday in South America. Read Less

Family friends we cruised with on this sailing recommended this class of RCL. As with everything, I believe everything is relative so I am comparing to past cruises we have taken on Disney and 3 Celebrity Cruises. If you essentially want your favorite local Shopping Mall or the Las Vegas strip floating on the great seas than this is for you! Ship was a true architectural marvel! Everything down to the last detail. Glitzy and Grand describes the Harmony of the Seas. Both Embarkation and Disembarkation went as smoothly as possible. Always keep in mind that there will be bumps when you consider the logistics of packing in and out 6,000+ people with all their stuff in a small window of time! I thought our cabin was satisfactory including closet space and bathroom. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. In retrospect we should have paid the extra money to get an Ocean Balcony vs a Central Park balcony room. There were more than enough activities (way too many to count--more than enough for everyone )and Entertainment to fill a week of cruising for the entire family (2 college age Daughters). If anyone complains that they were 'bored' than clearly you have no business cruising! The Entertainment was as good as you will find on any cruise given the luxury of a choreographed Water Show ala Cirque de Soleil,Ice Rink show and a great theater production of Grease. Ports and excursions were just ok. Labadee (Haiti) is a beautiful tiny slither private beach. Problem is the ocean floor is extremely rocky which made it very uncomfortable to be in water. Our JetSki trip was cancelled due to choppy waters. Jamaica and Cozumel had much more options to pick from. The great disappointment was in the Food and the Service. I did not like the fact that I had to buy the Liquor package and have to present it each and everytime I ordered from an expensive drink to a Cappucino. The food was frankly mediocre at best! Lack of flavor, cheap cuts of Beef and Fish and poor presentation in Main Dining. Mass produced of course but lacked anything to remember. Chop House was the biggest disappointment with sub standard food quality. Yes I was expecting Morton's/Ruths Chris quality type Steak. On the last night however we ate at Wonderland which made up for all the other nights. This is your chi chi Restaurant with chi chi food. Molecular gastronomy I believe they call this type of cuisine. Best flavors, texture and food I have eaten in years! It was what I like to call a 'Culinary Orgasm!' Loved it so much I insisted to that the Chef come out so I could complement him on this masterpiece of a meal. With the exception of our Porter for our room the service was just simply awful. I don't know it this is pervasive in all Cruise Lines and Ships given my attitude that CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERYWHERE WITH EVERY COMPANY IS DEAD! I appreciate that Cruise Lines hire staff from around the World but have a problem understanding most due to bad English and accents. Like Jerry Seinfeld (Not that there is anything wrong with that) Ha Ha but it makes it difficult to understand what they are saying and I am on vacation. Yes I want to be treated like Royalty on a Cruise as has been my experience on Disney and Celebrity! The attitudes from the majority of Staff were poor as they were just going through the motions to do their job yet would not go out of their way to solve your problem. I don't know if it is because of a lack of training, cost cutting to hire for cheaper wages or just a general attitudinal shift to support my Customer Service is Dead theory. My biggest surprise on the Ship was that even with Holiday sailing the majority of families and cruisers were from Latin America and Europe. Where are all the American cruising families? Again, not that there was anything wrong with that but it wasn't easy communicating with others as we have also met wonderful people on past cruises. Bottom line is I recommend this Ship and Cruise Line if you are a family with kids. If you are seeking a more luxury and elegant cruise experience, not so much. Read Less

WOW! What a experience on this ship. Getting on the ship was a very smooth process. The food on the ship is pretty good. The restaurants are amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the 150 restaurant. If you are a big drinker you MUST by your drink package before you get on board because it is cheaper. We brought Yeti cups for our water whitewash a huge help. The safety drill at the beginning of the cruise was a joke. If a EMERGENCY was to arise on the ship I don't think anyone would know what to do. During the cruise I went down to medical to get my son some immodium, he was filling sick from eating a huge plate of nachos while at Port in Puerto Rico. They overreacted and send him to his room for 24 hours. They said he was not able to get off the ship in Haiti. If they would have spent more time evaluating him they could have seen that he was NOT ill. DO NOT go down to medical to get anything UNLESS you are truly ill. After this happened I went down to Guest Services with my son to try to resolve the issue and we were treated VERY bad by the security guard. He barged into the office that we were speaking to the Guest Relations manager and said he would put my son in the jail downstairs or put us off the ship in Haiti if he did not return to the room immediately. They offered to compensate us by giving us a discount on our next cruise. This I thought was a crazy!! Why in the world wouldn't you work to make the cruise we were currently on a better experience? The final night of the cruise we did the Chefs table that was amazing. The food was good and the wine wonderful. The last night I started noticing bug bites on me. After being home a few days I know realized I left eh ship with BED BUGS!!!!! Ugh this is not a ship that I recommend. #royalcaribbeanworstcruise #royalcaribbeanbadservice #wontcruiseroyal Read Less

This is the newest Royal Caribbean Ship with over 6,000 passengers. The facilities for kids were great. There was so much to do. The shows and attractions were so good for most and children will be kept busy. The shows were appropriate for all ages. The boat is beautiful and well appointed. My disappointment is very picky which I admit. I am use to higher end service and not paying separately for everything. Soda and coffee package was $214 for one person. Internet was over $100 for the slower package. You get a room card for your door but it you want their wrist band instead of hold a card, you pay $4.95. To use the showers in the workout room, you had to join. Very lame. There was also an odor in the workout facility that remained all week. It smelled like cigars. The onboard communications were LESS than adequate. The daily sheet was hard to read and did not stress important items like when to return to the ship on port days. The most aggravating thing was trying to fix problems. Call customer service(the suggested way to resolve solutions) and NO_ONE answers the phone. I tried at 10:30PM to get another pillow, no answers. For the first 4 days there was a constant wait at the customer service desk of 15 to 20 minutes. There were 7 or 8 stations for customer service but normally only 3 or 4 had employees solving problems. So just wait and twiddle your thumbs waiting. Specialty restaurants were booked about 2 months before the cruise. They advertise loads of restaurants but that is including paying for Johnny Rockets and having a few quick bite venues. So it was the little things that I did not like. But I do give them credit that the shows, facilities and things to do for kids was very good. I miss the library and onboard computers. I would only go on this ship if I had my grandchildren with me. Read Less

We decided to do the 11 day Caribbean cruise over Christmas and New Years on the Harmony. Everything was perfect. We arrived at the port around 1, dropped off our bags and got in line. The line went very quick and we were drinking our first cocktail in about 40 minutes. We stayed in an inside cabin on deck 8 and the very end of the front of the ship. It was small, had some wear and tear but good for us since we are never in our cabin. The food in both the Windjammer and the dining room were good but we did two specialty restaurants this time. We dined at Chops which would give any US steakhouse a run for the money and Sabor, the spanish cuisine restaurant. This is the best spanish food I have ever had! This was our 10th cruise on Royal and they are my favorite. The only compliant I had was I had the drink package which was wonderful but I could not get a good mojito! Ever bar I went to was awful. They might need to think about better training of the bar staff. The other complaint was the shows. I have been on all the new ships and compared to them the entertainment was awful. There was a great R&B group that was the highlight of the entertainment so maybe spend a little more money on that. Otherwise a fabulous trip! Read Less

Have previously sailed on Oasis and Allure. Booked a cruise on Harmony while sailing on Allure. Our cruise left Fort Lauderdale on Des. 3. Boarding was quick, got our stateroom 1pm. First impression coming onboard, no smiles from the crew. Crowded in Winjammer, the same all the cruise. Had my time dining on deck 4. Had to wait in line every night. Sitting in the same section for dinner, food good, service ok. Had breakfast in the restaurant on deck 3 the first morning. Waiting for the waiter for 20 minutes, anorher 15 minutes waiting for the food. Bad experience, service not up to RCCL standard. The crew seemed tired, too few. Officers not visible, diamond club a dissapointment. Not the usual recognition of crown and ancor members. Theatre had sad colors, and colors around the ship a bit cold and unfriendly. Shows were good. Will not try Harmony again. Not as good as her sisterships. Read Less

The actual ship was beautiful while the service was well below standards. I felt like it was beyond my control to even try to eat in the dining room. Never again! Entertainment was superb! All of the technology was refreshing. Our embark and disembark was the best part and to say that after paying 3800.00 for the cruise is sad. Highlight of the cruise---- meeting Chef Aaron Sanchez! Was so obvious the casino was so rigged to pay off mid week to encourage you to play more at the end of the week. This ship was not ready to provide " hospitality". Their "service" was done at my expense! Very dissappointed in Royal Caribbean. Not planning any future cruises.... i will go all inclusive. Read Less

My husband and I sailed on Harmony the week after Thanksgiving..This was our 32nd cruise and 7th with Royal Carib....including the Oasis and Allure. We found this ship very similar to the Oasis and Allure...but we did think the cabins had a better lay out then both of the other Oasis class ships...The ship is awesome and couldn't be more beautiful... The food was just OK..The dining room food was just Ok and we found the appetizers were better than the main courses. We ate at Jamies Italian and thought it was good...but we are Italian and prefer our own home cooking....We also at at Chops and it was very good as it usually is...The buffet area is a bit of a disappointment since they do not make omelets for breakfast...omelets are available at Johnny Rockets or Mini Bites...(one word of warning...if you chose Mini Bites be prepared to wait quite a while for an omelet order).....Lunch in the Buffet was repetitive and the salad dressing on the salad bar was watered down. We found the best area for food was the Solarium..We enjoyed eating there and it was a lovely area to enjoy a sea day....Of course, the Park Cafe had the usual good salads and paninnis, etc...always crowded but worth a wait. The entertainment on this ship is excellent we attended every show and each one was well done, professional and fun to watch. Don't miss any of them..especially the Fine Line. Our time frame for Fine Line was cancelled 3 times but finally performed on the next to last night. After seeing the show I could totally understand why you cannot perform this show if there is even a tiny rocking on the sea.... We had a balcony on deck 10 and it was not far from the elevators..Great cabin..I believe it was the largest one we have had on Royal Caribbean and plenty of room for all our belongings....Comfortable bed and even the shower was roomy. We found the personnel on the ship to be very friendly and helpful and the cruise director was funny and did a great job of keeping everyone up to date on what was happening around the ship. All in all, we would definitely consider this ship again if it were offered at a good price. Read Less

The ship itself is wonderful. Very well laid out, lots to do for both adults and kids. The shows were well done and entertaining for everyone. What was thoroughly disappointing was the attitude of the crew. The pool areas are covered with used glasses and food plates that haven't been picked up. I would have taken care of it myself but there were not any areas to put used glasses or plates. It seemed as though the crew felt that the passengers were an annoyance to them. Most (not all, there were some exceptions) of the crew were rude and not very helpful. It wasn't contained to one area of the ship either. Twice I actually had to go get my own drinks for my family in the dining room as I hadn't seen a server in 30 minutes. Waited in line to see the characters with my children as obviously drunk employees spent time getting their own pictures with kids characters. Also witnessed a pit boss in the casino ridicule my hearing impaired father in law for not answering him when he asked a question. In addition to the poor service it seems like the ship wasn't prepared at all. At least once a day I ordered something off a menu that I was told they didn't have. Went to the Mexican restaurant and was told they don't have guacamole or churros which were the only reason my kids wanted to go. Overall for all the good things the ship had to offer the poor service more than offset them. We took a similar cruise at the same time last year and paid double for the RCL cruise as it was seen as a more upscale cruise line. Definitely not worth any increased cost at all! My family and I will most likely not be using RCL again if this the service you can expect. Read Less

Pros: The Ship is amazing. There are 3 water slides and two dry slides, two flowriders, golf, ice skating, two rock climbing walls, zip line, merry go round, saltwater, chlorine, and sports pools, a bunch of hot tubs, lots of chairs. There's a bionic bar, floating bar, wine bar, and a bunch of other scattered bars. The shows were great. There are two ice shows, two high dive shows, two variety shows, a comedy show, and others I didn't go to. Wonderland bar is a hidden gem, with fun drinks and bartenders. Wristbands were great for the kids. You need to take them off to get drinks at the pools. Interactive Signage is everywhere, but same limitations as the App (below). Cons: Dinners mediocre at best. Even so in upscale (i.e. Pay more) dining. The Mexican restaurant was good (at a price). It was extremely difficult to kind chicken nuggets on a buffet anywhere... Comedy was OK. Grease is not really kid friendly. Skating only on one or two days for 30 mins. I wish they would open it up longer. They say 7 neighborhoods but there are really only 4 that are really good... they count the pool and the kids camp I think... Staff just seemed unprepared for the guests maybe. It was Thanksgiving week... Internet went down on day 4 for hours or so and when it came back up, they didn't know how to help us get back on. Luckily a fellow cruiser showed us the trick. The App is OK. Shows stuff you registered for and everything available... but not times for anything (like when you can surf or watch a movie, or climb a wall. Need to keep that stupid paper guide handy at all times. You can reserve dinners (but don't know what price you're going to pay) and you can't see what breakfast or lunch options are available.
