"There were no comical order errors or missed deliveries, other than once: when I asked for a specific kind of soft cheese I had had the week before (I even had a picture of it to show the waiter) the request was acknowledged as no problem , but then five minutes later the waiter instead showed up with a plate of five miscellaneous cheeses which I did not order, three of which I detest (my guess is whoever was in back had standard "cheese plates" already made up and did not want to bother finding the one I specifically wanted, especially so close to closing time.Unlike on English language lines, lower level staff, though friendly, are discouraged from spending too much chit-chatting time with pax --which was ok with me, because then they spent more time concentrating on their jobs instead of just pow-wowing with the high-tipping regulars while neglecting the hoi-polloi (which I had seen quite a bit pre-Covid on SB and SS) ENRICHMENT There was a gardening expert and a historian on board who gave a couple lectures (in German, as previously noted ), which were also available on suite TVs, unfortunately just in a running stream rather than by specific selection...."Read More
