Review for a Arctic Cruise on MSC Preziosa

We wanted to go to Iceland and Norwegian fiords back before Covid and booked 2 cruises on different ships because they were among the only lines going to that area. One month before departure, Covid stuck and the world stood still for travel. 4 and a half years later and several ship changes, port changes and itineraries, we finally sailed on Preziosa for back to back cruises to Iceland and ...

Disappointment, not recommended

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

Oceania markets itself as a luxury brand, but did not meet my expectations. Service: This is such an important part of trying to distinguish oneself from other cruise lines. Service felt unorganized, as if this is the first week on the job for many workers. Staff in the Terrace Cafe buffet needs to be trained what they are serving. I needed to cancel the reservation at Jacques (due to ...

First cruise with Cunard - a bit disappointing

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

I am an experienced cruiser. Now I finally decided to try the iconic QM2. I admit I had quite high expectations, unfortunately not all of them were met. PROS The embarkation process in Hamburg was very quick. There were no queues at all, it took us maybe 15 minutes to get on board. The dining experience on board was excellent. The service in the Princess Grill restaurant was very ...

Disappointing

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Preziosa

We took a 3 night mini cruise which sailed from Hamburg, stooping in Le Havre, France and ending in Southampton. I have cruised with MSC previously so pretty much knew what to expect, whilst I would sail with MSC again, the things I don’t like about MSC were far more apparent this time. Embarkation with pretty easy, they have changed the process slightly; in the main terminal building they ...

Lovely ship let down by food and staff

We flew to Hamburg to join this cruise and were very impressed with the price. Boarding in Hamburg took forever.. we queued for at least 2 hours and we arrived early. The ship itself is beautiful and balcony cabin was lovely. There's plenty of bars and we always found someone to sit. Food was disappointing in the main restaurant. We had no rapport with our waiter who wasn't really interested..meal ...

Not what we expected

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Preziosa

To start at the beginning embarkation took over 3 hours, 2 sat in the waiting area and an over an hour queuing, the luggage got to the room before us! Muster drill was chaotic, people stood chatting and not everybody attended so it had to be repeated for them. Main dining room menus were very mixed and not appetising, presentation was very lacking (fruit platter was 4 chunks of fruit with ...

Service below expectations

Poor food. Very poor service in restaurant Golden Lobster Low.. Very slow service, wrongly deposited bottles of wine, bread service only by request and slow. Shore excursions extremally expensive. Some of them absolutely not interesting for example in Seydisfjordur. Transfer to the city in Reykiavki terrible expensive (should be free of charge). Some cruise crew are quite arogant. Towel service ...

Nice ship. Amazing staff. Food level not up to standard for a luxury ship.

I choose MSC without going through the reviews and that was a big mistake. The only high standard other than the ship is the amazing staff which I believe that they are the most valuable asset. And if they they don’t take care of them they will loose them all. The food is not to the standard as in other cruises I’ve been to. The same food offered in the buffet as for n the dinner seating ...

Norway fjords

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Norwegian Jade

User Avatar

Wanted to see the fjords and always liked ncl. Jade was recently refurbished and looks great. Ports were small but really enjoyed them. Seems they have cutback on the latitudes party. No more prizes and it is now early in the day when you are less likely to drink. Appetizers were cubes of cheese only. Very poor way to treat best customers. Show us you really care and make our experience special. ...
