Great staff, not so warm food
"The staff was great, they were nice and welcoming. I felt like they talked to me not only, cause it was their job, but because they wanted to. And it was all from the entertainment crew to cleaning and waiters...."Read More

I chose this cruise for a quick getaway and was extremely impressed overall with this ship. The ship is beautiful in all areas and extremely well maintained (take note other cruise lines!) The atrium, bars, the whole interior mare beautifully decorated. I struggled to find an area that wasn’t adorned with Swarovski crystals or bling of some kind. The most elegant ship I’ve been on. My balcony ...

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. We have cruised many times with Royal Carribean and had Junior suites and up, so for this cruise we booked inter connecting balcony cabins on Deck 9. I had read many reviews about MSC and The Preziosa, and have to say was a little bit concerned about all the negative reviews about service and food. We had booked the Fantastica package that came with drinks ...

First time on an MSC cruise having previously had a number of cruises with Celebrity and Princess. Embarkation was smooth. Luggage was taken from us a few steps from our taxi and we proceeded to check-in hall where we were given a group number and asked to sit until called. Ten minutes later our number was called and we checked in and proceeded to ship. One of the smoothest check-in procedures ...

I always wanted to visit Norway and the fjords as I am intrigued by the history of Vikings and of the scenery. This was our first cruise , it was our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband 's 50th birthday .There were a couple of things that bothered us like the wait to get on board the ship on the departure date we got there at 13.00 PM and had to wait 3 hours in the queue , we were tired and ...

We joined the MSC Preziosa in Hamburg for the west European cruise visiting Le Havre, Southampton, St. Peter Port, Brest, Lisbon, Cadiz, Malaga, Vigo, Rotterdam and back to Hamburg. This was our first time with MSC and we booked the Yacht Club (YC). The embarkation experience with the separate YC welcome lounge and being accompanied through security and through to the YC concierge was a ...

This cruise was purchased by my Husband for my 60th Birthday. HAMBURG - We spent an afternoon and morning in Hamburg, went to Hotel and then walked into Hamburg, visited the area around Speicherstadt, really just wandered around but the area was interesting with lots of photos, next day was Embarkation which was a breeze, we arrived at the allotted time and our luggage was taken and a number ...

This was our 5th MSC cruise and 2nd in Europe. The itinerary is usually what attracts us, along with a reasonable balcony price. This was our first trip on the Preziosa. All the public areas were very nice, theater shows were good, room was clean, etc. The food served in the main dinning room and buffet food was fair to good, but never great, as was the service. The best meal and service we had ...

Short cruise from Hamburg to Southampton, chosen for the price and because it's a big ship. The drinks package came free with the Fantastica class of cabin and I think nearly everyone had a drinks package which meant that the waiters were over stretched. Lots of cocktails, beers and spirits on offer but very limited wine selection (2 red, 2 white and 1 rose), Drinks, when they did come, were ...

This was our first cruise and we were mostly not disappointed and considering to go again in the future. Surprisingly the food in the restaurant we were assigned to was very good. I cannot claim that for the buffet restaurant, which was ok for a quick snack or breakfast, however very overcrowded. We liked the experience overall except for the internet we paid for and really needed to get some ...

We normally prefer Celebrity and Oceania, MSC was an attempt - in summary: Quite ok. -- We live in Hamburg, where the ship starts, so no exploration of the city. Starting in Hamburg was one of the reasons why we choose MSC, the other was the tour to Iceland. --- We booked an "Aurea-Suite" and as a "Black Member" there is no embarkation/disembrkation Problem (Priority). Otherwize you have to wait ...
