A very interesting intinerary, not many days in the sea, a very good offer... Our embarkation was from Hamburg, and we arrived a day before in order to explore the city. This day they nade a great City festival, with carnival, a lot of fun, songs, music, etc/ Altona Cruise Center is near a famous Fischmarkt of Hamburg, the place that worth visit also. the cruise route is very interesting. We have not ordered shore excursions from NCL. but found all of them via Internet with much better prices. We were afraid about getting in time to the disembarkation hour, but all the guides knew exactly, how to rule a tour in for not be late. The emteairment was at a very high level. There were better or less better things, but it was always professional and interesting. Dining was also good, I should add more fresh vegetables for a breakfast, but this is an only thing I can mention... The one bad thing that happened - a large, a huge line in order to get back to the ship via tenders at Edinbourgh. They said that Imternet connection was bad and slow on board, but I didn]t use it all - we just had no time at all! This cruise will remain in our memory forever. Read Less

We landed in Paris and explored Paris before departing for the actual cruise. Cabins on the ship are nicely set up. Dining on board is always a nice experience and offers a nice variety of local and other delicacies to suit any taste. Many on board entertainers brought on to provide enjoyment along the route. There were a few places where the ship had to lower the top so we were not able to sit on the upper deck as we cruised. Other than that, the cruise sightseeing was very nice. Traveled with a group of friends and a travel club we belong to. All arrangements were made to our satisfaction. The weather was to our liking. There were plenty of stops along the route to keep us busy and entertained. They offer tours at a more leisurely pace for those who prefer and easier tour. Excellent for elderly and disabled people. The staff and crew were very friendly and accommodating. We would consider taking this trip again sometime in the future. It is nice to do as a family or group. Read Less

The quality of Hapag Lloyd is exceptional since the booking process. Highly motivated staff from reservations to boarding and deboarding deserve a specific applause! Onboard staff are more than friendly and meticulously trained, they are very professional, yet warm in attitude. I will not mention staff in particular, because starting with the Capitain - honorable mention to the quality person He is - each person on board of the staff is a valuable person. A waiter can only serve immaculate meals if the cook prepares them; The cook can only prepare them if the storeholder stocks properly; The storeholder can stock only if the logistics team arrange adequately. And so on! In short, a perfect team!! Each day my wife+son+myself were surprised with something new to have our cruise a full positive memory forever. Thank you Hapag Lloyd Europa 2 Staff, thank you Hapag Lloyd groundstaff too, for the quality offered - and delivered! Read Less

We book the cruise on MSC because of the ship look nice in the pic; the route is very interesting so we book it. Before we had some cruise with NCL and Celebrity. So we can compare a little. In the first impression it looks all very nice, the ship is in a good condition, and it’s clean. Not perfect, but it's OK. We booked some beverage packages, like Cappuccino, Water and bottle wine, so far so good. But you cannot use this in all bars, without discussion what is accepted and was not. This is so stressful. One of our greatest complaints is nearly nobody from the service staff is smiling; they look all stressed, unfriendly. We don't really feel welcome on board. The food in the self service restaurant always the same during the cruise so there is not much change. They do not look for the disinfection station in front of the restaurant, if somebody uses it or not, nobody really cares. For us hygienic on a ship is essential. Our final conclusion no more MSC. We thoroughly enjoyed our World Voyage. Hamburg-Hamburg from 8th January - 12 May 2016. The cruise lasted 125 days, The service was excellent.. The crew were fantastic and we would definitely repeat a cruise with Cunard. We planned this cruise 12 months in advance and did 5 overland tours plus the normal stops. A voyage like this is really what you personally put into it. We did a lot of research on the destinations we would be visiting. We have cruised many times before so yes, we are experienced travelers. We both joined in a lot of sport activities on the ship and really enjoyed the possibilities offered. Our Cabin was most comfortable. We travelled as a retired couple (65). This voyage gave us the possibility of visiting many destinations that were still on our bucket list and get a good impression of whether we wanted to return. Which was our highlight? There were many highlights:. Namibia, Africa, Australia, China, Japan, The Lost city of Petra in Jordan, Malta. So many wonderful destinations. Thank you Cunard and thank you to all members to the Queen Elizabeth for making this an unforgettable "One in a Lifetime Experience" Read Less

The cruise staretd with a long queue. 45 minutes at the railway station for the shuttle bus. one hour at the checkin desk. Befor the ship started there was only one small snack counter for refreshments. the shows were very everage and the theater totally overcrowed. the staterooms and bathrooms were relatively spacious. Cleaing service was everage. No folded towels in the evening or they even forgot to make up the room for the night. No music entertainment during the day. the highlight for every day was the resident painter to give instructions for € 39 p.hour. Because of bad weather the highlight of the trip the North Cap had to be cancelled. so far so good. However the next day stop Alta was only 250 km away from the North Cap so some people took a car the see the cap. why did the crew not offer Bustrips even with extra paymant to the North Cap? we stayed at Alta for 19 hours so plenty of time to make the trip in a bus. shame. the passengers were very old and very German!!!! We will not use Tui cruse or Mein Schiff again Read Less

My journey started at Heathrow Airport, where I met up with several couples going on the same cruise (recognising the red Viking labels on their luggage). We soon got talking and had lots of things which we were all looking forward to seeing and doing. Our flight over to Europe went in next to no time and we were met by the courier who greeted us warmly and then went on to the hotel for the evening (A1 Hotel) Day two was by coach and then walking to the Berlin Wall (Check Point Charlie) and the Brandenburg Gate (most interesting and informative as to what really went on during the last War 1939-1945. On joining the Viking Schuamann, our Stateroom was well furnished and spick and span, with an American couple in the opposite room who we paled up with After a lovely evening dinner In fact all the meals were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the waiters and kitchen staff. Just ask and believe me you will get..All 5 star cruising. Our visits to Potsdam, Magenberg and Passau , all extremely interesting and the guides on the coach were helpful and informative. Wittenberg and Torgen (historic landmarks where Luther posted his 93 theses) and the Meissen Factory tour where we had a making and painting of the fine porcelain made there. Dresden - Visitinm the Castle and the Green Vault where the Saxon Monarch Crown Jewels are housed. Clinbing up to the Rock Towers with wonderful views of the River Elbe. On into the Czech Republic and Prague (City of 100 Spires). I did not want the tour to end, But unfortunately good things do have to come to an end, SO I am saving up to go with Viking again in the very near future. Well done Viking. Read Less
