Room 7152 is located on the aft (rear) side of the ship. It is at the end of the hallway on the corner, which was a pretty good spot. The room is above the South Pacific Lounge and you can in fact hear the music loud and clear. My wife and I were able to both enjoy and tune it out. This is an older ship and the rooms do show their age. The wooden closets, dressers and night stands are sturdy and there is plenty of drawer space, and although still in good condition, do look dated. The bathroom is suitable for 2 people, however we were not thrilled with the shower head and how the water came out all over the place. Also the push knobs for the toilet are a bit of a workout. The outlets in the room were limited, so do bring some sort of portable electrical extension box. Also small magnetic hooks greatly helped. Last, the balcony was really great which was great fro sunrises and sunsets. Read Less

Under the Solarium, but the noise was minimal and we both got great rest. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were about the best we ever had. Overall the room is convenient and a great value. The styling was similar to other ships but was old and worn out. Curtains, drapes, bedspreads, carpet, wood furniture all looking worn out. The bed was terribly hard and uncomfortable. The cabinet and closet doors banged away through the night with the rocking of the ship. Our shower flooded the bathroom if we did not place towels strategically to prevent this. The refrigerator was not cooling sufficiently, but the AC was exceptional. Read Less

Cabin 8548 is roughly mid-ship on the starboard side. The Junior Suite cabins are about three feet wider than standard balcony cabins, allowing space for both a sofa and two upholstered chairs in the cabin - and for a bathtub instead of a stall shower. The extra width also included more storage in the entryway and a wider balcony. Cabin 8548 (and its port-side equivalent 8048) are in an interesting location directly opposite an almost secret passage from the mid-ship stairway lobby, providing faster access to the stairs while not carrying the music from the Centrum. This cabin is also one that does not have a pole at the foot of the bed, found in some JS cabins. Read Less

Cabin was lovely and well maintained by our cabin steward, Randy. Loved the bigger shower and the products provided. Pros: large, private balcony Cons: once they start using the incinerator, the balcony is covered in black ash
