Booked to travel with friends, who later backed out. Between the Coast Guard and the weather nothing came off as scheduled.departure was delayed by at least 8 hours due to "non-mechanical" problems found during Coast Guard inspection. Arrived in Boston at 4:00 pm and all excursions cancelled. Missed total of 2 ports of call. To their credit the line refunded 2 days of cruise to our on board ...
They have absolutely nothing for the kids to do. Besides the closet sized room for the tots. My daughter is 3 and was nervous about going to the kids section and they wouldn’t even let me walk her in and say goodbye.. ridiculous. No activities.. nothing. Rooms are small. Workers are nice except for a few that seems miserable. Carnival pride is definitely a better choice. Their dining room is ok. ...
For the price it was a great vacation. We chose the cruise because it left from Baltimore. We have sailed out of Baltimore on the Carnival Pride four times. We enjoyed the cruise itinerary .
The inside room is fine. But there was no place for our luggage. It was either put them in the small closet and leave our shoes out, or put the luggage along side the bed.. Since it was impossible to get ...
My family and I decided to give RCI a try this summer. We have been on 20 Carnival cruises and 2 Princess cruises since 2001. We picked this cruise strictly on the itinerary. My teenagers were doing a DC trip with their school so we met them at the end and then came on this cruise. Coming Jon the ship we had high hopes for a great cruise. We had purchased the Key which was quite expensive for ...
Chose this cruise for the itinerary and although the weather wasn't the greatest the ports were still wonderful and enjoyable.
Ship is older but was clean and tidy except for very dirty outside windows. Since it is a smaller ship the crew is friendly and good at remembering you and making you feel pampered.
Cabin 3124 is small, quiet and comfortable with adequate storage.
Unfortunately ...
Different itinerary that the usual Carribiean for a family vacation that was not over-the-top in cost. We had a nice time in the ports but these ports are more site-seeing than "fun activities" such as amusement rides (although one had zip lining) so the kids didn't have the greatest time doing that. I loved Halifax and Bar Harbor. Our day at Boston coincided with "Pride parade" so it was very ...
My family took the 9 night cruise up the NE into Canada out of Baltimore. Without airfare, it made the trip far more economical. We paid around $3,700 before our final tab at the gift shops, bar, gratuities. Gratuities really add up at $14.50/person/day. I don't debate they are deserved; just factor those in as you budget.
I was on this ship in the late 90's and it's still the same. It's ...
We picked this ship because of the itinerary and loved the ports. However, the ship was average. Average food, entertainment, cruise director and activity staff. Another problem I had with this ship was that they put the ping pong tables so close to the smoking section of the deck. Who wants to smell smoke when they are playing ping pong? My teen sons loved the teen room. We booked ...
Dining room menu was the same every night.
Order your dessert when you order your entree. Order everything all at one time.
This does save on time. Food was just average, nothing special.
Although the crew was very nice , some were persistant on making you buy Specialty meals in the Special Restaurants on board. They walk around and ask you over and over and some won't take no for an ...
As I live in the Baltimore area, it was very convenient to take a round trip cruise from our local port.
The itinerary was also very attractive, cruising north on the East coast to Halifax, NS and back. I had cruised around ten times back in the 1990's and 2000's (on different cruise lines) and had been very impressed with the service and dining experiences. The Grandeur of the Seas has been ...
