"As usual there is a list of minor annoyances: Internet is shaky and very expensive, bathrobes come only in size M (on a cruise ship with many XXL passengers), every single drawer pull in the cabin was lose and the ships clocks are perpetually out of sync.A side effect of the cruise line pricing of the day is of course that you end up with 2000 bargain hunters as your co-passengers...."Read More

1-10 of 70 Princess Grand Princess Cruise Reviews for Romantic to Hawaii
We chose this repositioning cruise because we needed to catch up with friends in Australia that decided to fly and the dates matched.
It's an old ship, renovated about 10 years ago, and considering that it's in great shape. The service attitude of the staff is impressive, the food is hovering between good and great, with the buffet having essentially been sacrificed on the altar of Covid. ...
This was my retirement cruise. I alerted Princess and added the milestone in the Medallion app, but nothing was done to acknowledge.
The ship should be in drydock by now, but should have been done much sooner. There were plenty of water leaks, a shattered window in the buffet. It is long overdue for maintenance.
There were a lot of people / staff getting COVID. The Cruse Director, Steve, ...
I was giving my sister a cruise for her birthday 2 years ago which was cancelled a few times. Finally we were able to book and take a cruise to Hawaii
1) Minimal accommodations on shore excursions for people of poor endurance. They could not accommodate my sisters scooter stating they were never informed… I call BS her scooter had to be delivered to our state room by the crew. If a taxi or ...
My partner wanted to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge one last time so he convinced me it would be great for both of us. I had expected to have sunny days with a little bump here and there but that is not what happened. No sun, cold wind and all kinds of sea bumps. I enjoyed the food in the buffet and the dining room but my partner did not. Our cabin seemed smaller than usual for a balcony ...
Chose this because dates lined up perfectly with kids school break. Also a desire to go to Hawaii. It was made much more difficult due to a sick passenger, and returning to Honolulu 2 days after leaving. Add to that very high seas/winds and big storms making it difficult to enjoy the ship. Cruise did not stop in mexico as planned, and still returned far later than planned.
Absolutely ...
This was our 22nd cruise with Princess since 2008. We have been loyal to Princess because we like the itineraries, and (in the past) have had great service. We have filled out the post-cruise online survey and would like to include the following comments:
Condition of the ship:
We enjoy the format of the older ships, primarily the promenade decks. However, because a ship is old does not ...

Cabin => D
Cabin was a disappointing experience, only sitting area in an upgraded balcony cabin was a small desk chair. We put a balcony chair in the cabin, not sure what happen to a love seat, or at minimum a comfortable chair.
Buffet was average, with stand standard food.
We ...
This is our second cruise, as we did Alaska through Holland-America last year and wanted to get a taste of the Hawaiian islands. Princess offered this 15-day cruise from San Francisco to Hawaii and back. We have friends who have traveled many times with Princess and haven't complained.
But our own experience was not as enjoyable. We had issues with dining, with shore excursions, with ...
45 trips with Princess, and the food was not as good as any of our previous cruises. The last show was very good, but the rest were old and older. Met an officer and we talked about the cruise and told him of our thoughts about the food. He said the home office had cut costs for food to a level where the ship could not buy as much as they wanted. I told him we were on the Caribbean Princess in ...
The first couple of days at sea was a challenge as the ocean swells were high. Cold for the first 3 days. Lots to do on the ship. Ports went by quickly and we started to head home. Then it hit. A little sinus drip turned into a fever and a hard cough. Fever took 5 days to finally subdue. Too many sick people on the ship with lots of them coughing without covering their mouth. So it took 15 days to ...
