I was in cabin A746, 2 porthole Ocean View, the very aft of the ship, by the Terrace Pool on Aloha Deck 12. I chose this cabin because I thought it would be quiet, there were only two cabins in this hallway, but I was mistaken. I read several reviews and articles about this room and each one stated that the door to the Terrace Pool was locked at 6:00 p.m. every night. I called Princess to make sure this statement was true. Not true, it is left open at all times and when passengers either going or coming from the pool don’t hold the door it slams so hard it shook the walls of my cabin. I loved the quiet location from other cabins but the door slamming was terrible. The room was a nice size and the bed was absolutely amazing. You can actually purchase the bed and I gave some serious thought to it because it was so comfortable. Huge, warm and comfy, all white duvet was such a welcome surprise. I have to address the bedding, including the mattress and pillows. The Princess Luxury Bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, including my own. The bed was covered with a beautiful white duvet, soft and luxurious, with six, yes six, pillows, some soft, some medium and some hard. The sheets seemed to just envelope me in comfort. You can purchase any of the bedding, mattress, duvet, sheets, pillows, etc. I had a serious problem with the air conditioning vent above the bed. It spewed black stuff all over the white bedding, walls, desk and floor. I don’t know if it was mold, mildew, insulation, but it was there on the first night when I returned to my cabin. I called Guest Services and asked that they send someone to look at it the next morning, (Monday), and they did, said it was fixed but when I got back to my room just before dinner, black stuff everywhere. This time I went to Guest Services and they sent someone while I was eating dinner. Again, I was told it was fixed but again it wasn’t. This went on for all seven days of the cruise. Princess couldn’t move me because it was a sold out cruise and no cabins available. I don’t even want to think about what I might have been breathing those seven days. I think that the ship was full but I know for a fact, after speaking to the Hotel Director, that there are cabins available if a cabin floods or for any reason they have to move passengers. I think it was wrong of Princess to not move me to another cabin, since no one could fix it and no one knew what was leaking over my bed. Read Less
