Excellent Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

Excellent cruise from Rio to Lisbon. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is upscale-casual: Few men wore sport jackets at any time. Ship was about 3/4 full, with almost all passengers being in their fifties and up. There were no children. Large mix of nationalities (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.). It got a bit rocky towards the end of the cruise and the captain chose to skip the Madeira port of ...

We had not been to South America prior to this sailing. Cruise was lovely and relaxing. We went in three days earlier to visit Buenos Aires. Beautiful city and lots of cultural things to do. Some of the smaller ports were very interesting we liked Buzios. I would be nice if the simply more excursion money could be used for additional items like the beverage package. One of our tours was ...

Great crew and awesome sights of the Cape

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We chose to sail buenos to valparaiso, it afforded us good sailing days with daylight viewing of cape horn & beagle channel, from our starboard balcony. Our 2nd cruise with celebrity, we enjoyed the variety of bars to party (silent disco) or chill. We used the main dining room 4 nights of the 12, with our final night enjoying sushi on 5, sushi enhanced by the guidance of mohamed. Reports ...

We always bring our fun so....... Anyway, here are some thoughts on this adventure. Ship is 20 years old and showing her age. Didn't stop the fun. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and toilets flushed. Food in main dining room was excellent - I've always found the upcharge restaurants on HAL to miss the mark - the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto's just aren't what they should - buffet was ...

Amazing Wildlife Sightings

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Azamara Quest

We booked this cruise while we were on an Azamara Journey sailing in October. Antarctica had long been on our bucket list and the deal that was offered was too good to pass up. We had debated doing an expedition cruise, but had done one in the Arctic and ended up being totally disappointed. While we didn't step foot on Antarctica during the cruise, we were able to see an amazing array of ...

Antarctica has been on my bucket list for some time and this cruise met or even surpassed my expectations. The staff were amazing especially our efficient and attentive cabin steward and our waiters in the dining room. The food was excellent for the most part but I was a little disappointed with the buffet which we only frequented occasionally. This was our fourth Celebrity cruise and we always ...

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Marina

User Avatar

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary, which included 3 days of sailing in Antarctica. This was our first time on Oceania, having cruised many times on Celebrity in the past. We thought that Oceania would be a bit of an upgrade from Celebrity due to the price-point and the smaller ship design. We arrived in Santiago 3 days before the cruise but planned our own time there and did not ...

Best Cruise Ever - Antarctic, Patagonia and Falklands

I signed up for the pre-cruise hotel in Santiago. The Oceania staff at the Intercontinental were very helpful and the bus ride to the port of San Antonio was informative. Check-in went fairly smoothly. The Marina is well maintained and my Deluxe Oceanview Cabin was great. The staff on-board was very friendly, happy and helpful. I ate often at the Grand Dining Room and enjoyed all of my meals ...

Our Best Cruise Ever

Review for a South America Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We have been on 15+ cruises on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity and this cruise was one of our favorites. Actually, I would say it was our favorite cruise ever. We sailed from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile on a 2 weeks cruise on the Sapphire Princess. The ports of call were good but the highlights of the cruise were the penguins on the Falkland Islands and in the ...

Lots to do and a port-heavy itinerary!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

User Avatar

This was a great trip. The Jewel is one of the smaller ships but it was perfect for this intinerary because it was so port-heavy. I wouldn't reccomend getting the drink package on this one. It seems like a great idea at first but if you plan to leave the ship every day to visit the islands, it would be more economical to just buy your drinks individually. We chose this cruise because we've ...
