My Wife and I chose this cruise as a Cruise and Stay holiday. We had 3 nights in the Iberostar Bougainville in Costa Adeje before being transferred to the Azura. Boarding was excellent, easily the best we’ve ever experienced. In no time at all we were on board and in the Atrium. Now we have heard a lot of glowing reports about the Azura and we were really looking forward to our cruise . Many ...

3 day stay in Tenerife and 7 day cruise, stopping at Maderia , Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Ship in general looks tired. Furniture in cabins adequate but dated; a lot of brown and beige. Light displays in main dining areas were not functioning properly. The food was the most disappointing aspect. I am a Pescetarian and my husband vegetarian. The food in the main dining rooms were ...

Took a 10 day trip. First three nights in Santa Cruz. Nice enough city. Very clean. Usual shops etc. They were celebrating the Epiphany which meant on the Friday it was bank holiday so everything was shut ( jan 6 th). Got on the boat. Billed as a P and O’s midsize adults only. Food Buffet very much same day after day. Very compact and not set out very well at all. Distinct lack of ...

Great cruise, at a great time of year to go NYE

Review for Azura to Canary Islands

This cruise fitted in with my work holidays and my childs school holidays - it was a decent price, as it included the flights - shame they where from Birmingham, as Manchester would have been better. There was 3 cabins booked - we had linked all 3 of the bookings - but sadly on NYE the first night only 2 of the cabins where at the same table for dinner - and this was at 5.30pm - when we only ...

bland, tasteless repetitive non regional food in main restaurants, slow service ( not enough staff restaurants and bars), tiny choice in buffet. speciality restaurants could not try as has not booked pre boarding. lack of attention to detail. nothing for midnight new year eve ( even paper part hat), all feels dated and neglected....scuffed walls, non working lifts, non working water/coffee ...

P&O = Penny Pinching & Ordinary

Review for Azura to Canary Islands

We chose this cruise because it was seven nights and days in the sun. It was also to celebrate my birthday on New Years Eve. As we had sailed on Azura before we were familiar with the ship. We had requested a table for 8 for New Years Eve. We were given a table for two in a dark corner at the back of the ship. P&O were informed that this was a special birthday. No acknowledgment whatsoever. ...

The good points were, Price reasonable, Comfortable, and clean. Now the stuff that needs attention. Most of these have been done by MARELLA for years. The Playhouse shows have been the same for the last 3 years so maybe a change would help there. The pantomime was BRILLIANT by the way. Entertainment in the music venues could be more varied. There was only 1 female singer in the Malabar ...

P&O Never again

Review for Azura to Canary Islands

This was our first cruise at Christmas and first voyage on P&O. We decided on Azura around the Canary Islands as the dates worked perfectly for us. The ship is very dated for its age and in need of some TLC in the public areas and a good deep clean. It was 50/50 if the toilets would be clean when you used them, bins overflowing floors wet!!! First time I’ve been on a cruise and seen toilets ...

Some Disappointing Aspects

Review for Azura to Canary Islands

Wanted a Christmas cruise of 7 days duration and having travelled successfully with P&O previously we chose a Canary Island Cruise aboard the Azura. P&O attract customers in this post covid period by stating that all adults must be fully vaccinated and should have the relevant paper work to demonstrate this. However, nobodies paperwork was checked and P&O can really have no idea on the ...

Not up to NCL standard, Xmas Canary Islands cruise

Review for Norwegian Sun to Canary Islands

This was our 1st Christmas, New Year cruise away and certainly picked the wrong ship. In need of refurbishment in public areas which were often cramped. The buffet restaurant was far to small, could never find a table to sit especially at breakfast, strangest buffet set up with several congestion points. The Four Seasons waiter restaurant was ok with good service, the quality of the food was poor ...
