Just got back form a 6 night med cruise on this ship,
Embarkation and disembarkation went as well as expected.
In the main the ship was nice, the public areas are good and clean.
Cabins (we were in 11210) was very nice.
Dinning:- The buffet.
This was probably the best food you will find on the ship and the best for selection.
If you like your coffee I'd would recommend the ...
Genoa seven day Western Med 23 September 2017
Firstly i was conscious to book outside school holidays to have a more relaxing cruise. Was hesitant to book with this cruise line after reading some reviews and looking at food on You Tube. How wrong i was. Been on the Celebrity Solstice around NZ. Found the dinning room food to be sub standard. two out of ten and the Celebrity Equinox around the ...
The interior decor of the ship is very pleasant and welcoming. the inside cabin was spacious, clean and homely, the restaurants were well run with friendly attentive staff. There was a good choice of diferent themed bars with competant agreeable waiters/waitresses, there is also a vast selection of drinks including some of the best cocktail's and martini's that you could desire. The entertainment ...
Seen one MSC Fantasy class ship seen them all (we had previously been on Magnifica), BUT despite similarities they do have unique touches.
The nightly theatre entertainment was good (not stunning or amazing) - but certainly enjoyable and a nice touch to each night (shows lasting 30 - 45 minutes - well by the time you take the 5 language translations out less actual SHOWTIME...) :-)
The mix ...
I'd hate to see Americans skip this cruise ship and itinerary based on the mixed reviews so here is mine. Our main goal was to have our two teens exposed to new people, food, cultures and customs and to stay interested in their French and Spanish classes in school. We achieved that and way more with memories for a lifetime!
Easy embarkation in Genoa - no line, breezed right through since we ...
We cruised on Splendida on November 9th round the Med. After having many problems with customer service prior to the cruise I had vowed never to sail with MSC again, but it was all forgotten when we were on board.
Firstly we had flown from Gatwick (England) to Genoa, the flight was with BA as part of the package but we were only landing around 4pm so it was cutting it a bit fine. It was a Sunday ...
This was the second of two back-to-back cruises (Fantasia/Splendida) as a solo traveller. The nice surprise at check-in was an upgrade to the Yacht Club. ( since I had paid full double rates for both cruises, it certainly would not have cost the company but never the less, it was very nice).
The biggest advantage was it was so much less crowded but the service levels, food and wine were also a ...
We are back from our MSC Splendida cruise (6 April to 13 April) and Italy tour this week. Personally would rate this cruise as 4 out of 5. The itinerary was Genoa - Marseille - Barcelona - Valencia - Sea day - Tunis - Civitavecchia and back to Genoa.
It was my DD3 first ever cruise and the three of us very much enjoyed our cruise together. We didn't go with high expectation, and were pleasantly ...
I flew from Heathrow to Nice arriving at 10.00am, it took the courier over 3 hrs to get a coach sorted out, this meant that we did not get on the ship until 4.00pm.
The Splendida is spectacular with all the glitz of 'Vegas' My cabin was on deck 10 in the aft section, it was massive with a huge double bed & included robes in your wardrobe. The balcony was 5mx4m
The food and service in the ...
This was our first cruise and we therefore had nothing to compare the experience with. All in all, we found the ship to be very luxurious and stylish, the staff very helpful and standards of cleanliness and hygiene were exemplary.
We initially booked the cruise because it was calling at Gibraltar and it was a destination we were very interested in visiting. In comparison with other cruise ...
