Embarkation:
As this was a repositioning cruise, passengers embarked at multiple locations during the cruise: Marseille, Genoa, Valencia and possibly other ports.
We embarked at Genoa and, in part due to not being a full ship changeover, it was a quick process.
Ship:
MSC Poesia was a nice ship. Built in 2008, it does not have a Yacht Club section. Two main Dining Rooms and one ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary and it did not disappoint! I have sailed with MSC before and enjoy the cruise line. The Poesia was a beautiful ship. The food was fantastic as was the service. We embarked in Genoa, Italy and spent the night before our cruise at the Grand Sevoy hotel. Wonderful place to stay pre-cruise, the staff is fabulous, the location is great, and the rooms were ...
We chose this ship and iternary because of our grandkids spring vacation taking place the first week of April and our desire to expose the three girls, ages 17, 15 and 10 to Europe and Italy. We also like the fact that it went to four different countries and three of our favorite ports, Rome, Venice and Corfu. We found the food to be very average, the service average and the ship had some good ...
The cabin, waiters and bar staff are excellent...............they do their utmost to make you happy. However after experiencing the food in both the formal and buffet restaurants with unappealing food and complaining to both reception and officers of the ship not one of the management acknolowged or responded to our complaints..........in other words your complaints fall on deaf ears.!!!!!!!

This was our families first cruise and we had a wonderful time. The best thing about the cruise was the friendly staff and great service. I really could not fault them. The rooms, we had a balcony and the kids had a room without a view. The rooms were much better than I thought. Also better than I thought was the food. It was great. The big disappointment was the ports visited. We did not have ...
We chose this cruise because of it's itinerary and because it linked with another MSC cruise, The Orchestra, from Venice. We were two couples with no children.
The Poesia is a well designed ship with modern interiors overall. The cabin was very comfortable and a good size. This is where the experience stopped! In point form:
* Staff did not generally engage with the passengers - felt like ...
We were disappointed by this cruise, and would never choose MSC again. Overall I would say that it was a bit like being locked inside a cross between a shopping mall (lots of marbled interiors), a holiday camp (lots of jolly announcements) and a creche (lots of young children noisily having fun - everywhere, and at every hour) for a week.
Our first experience of eating was in the cafeteria ...
Unfortunately poor experience. First about the good things: destinations, views, tours, ports and excursions By myself. Then about the other things: it was very difficult to find the right port in Genoa had to go By taxi and they even changed the port to another port even taxi driver had to ask where is the right Place. The port had all offices closed. This was only a start. When I gone to cabin I ...
This was our second MSC cruise and it was every bit as good as the first. The ship was spotless, the crew were happy and the food was good. The icing is always when the weather is good and we had calm seas and high temperatures so we were happy !The event planning was especially well thought out and the excursions are diverse and really enjoyable. We climbed Vesuvius, rambled through Las Ramblas, ...
