This was my first cruise so I really didn't know what to expect after reading some of the reviews. I was doing back to back cruises with the second week being on the Preziosa out of Venice. I flew into Venice then flew to Genoa and took a taxi to the cruise port after staying a night in a hotel. I was so pleased to find that embarkation was an absolute breeze. We had a fabulous time on msc musica starting from Genoa, travelling on to Rome ,Palermo, Tunis ,Palma, Valencia and marseille . The ship was clean , staff very obliging, shows were excellent. The Musica is a lovely ship and very well cared for. The service was 3-4 star and good value for money, as was the food. On my sailing there were 2500 passengers. 2000 of these were German and 24 were english speakers. The balance was made up of Italians, Spanish and French. I understand that MSC would like to encourage more British passengers. I would suggest that the best way to achieve this ...

The good things about this cruise were that the embarkation and disembarkation were very efficient. The side trips were reasonably priced and the ports of call were interesting, but the transfer to the buses could have been better organized. All language groups were herded into lounges and the theatre and then sent to the buses which was a nightmare. Our planned visit to Tripoli was cancelled ...
