I will start by saying I do disagree with the comments about the staff from other reviews they were always friendly and smiled.
We were in a balcony room on the 8th deck right above the manhatten club this place is so noisy at night, I know I should have probably checked this before I booked but it was worse than I expected.
Food wise
Buffet- just meh always busy Food was usually ...
Cruised for the first time with MSC aboard Fantasia in November 2019, we embarked in Genoa, doing a few places in Europe then went across to Brazil. We have cruised with other companies many times and have never experienced anything as bad.
At the airport - MSC representative was waiting at the airport for us - but there was no transport for us and had to wait 45 minutes for it arrive. ...
Firstly this is going to look like the usual MSC slag off, but prior to this cruise MSC has been one of our favourite cruise lines. The problem seems to be that they have let standards slip well below what you would expect.
Following a joint transfer from Nice to join the ship, our cases were sent to MSC Seaview and we had to run after them to retrieve them to be sent to Fantasia.
We had a ...
Never cruised with MSC before but had high expectations for our experience. Ship was huge and its presentation inside and out was good. Our midship balcony cabin was comfortable and very nice. Now the not so god points. Ship was busy. Majority of passengers were italian or spanish. Buffet restaurant was a disorganised unpleasant nightmare with lots of bumping and queue jumping. Food quality and ...
As an American I thought going on a European cruise would be a good change of pace, didn't realize what I was getting myself into. I expected this cruise to be more subdued than others I have been on such as the Mexican Riviera for the Caribbean. There was no exciting vibe on the ship whatsoever, rarely did any of the staff greet us or say hello as we walked by. The hot tubs were more like ...
I booked this cruise, our first in 5 years for my husband and I to try and compensate for a very stressful year and also to celebrate our special birthdays!
Not a good start at Gatwick North check-in with BA/MSC due to lack of organisation. No separate check-in desk for MSC passengers unless you were an MSC Yacht Club Member! We were in the chaotic queuing system at BA for 1hr 45mins. No MSC ...
Great ship. Stink of smoke. Smokers in public areas. No crew enforcing rules i.e. no food or drink in theatre, passengers doing just what they pleased. No taking of videos in theatre.... passengers doing this anyway. as I said no one to enforce rules. Kids running wild.. Dining room packed like sardines. Noise unbelievable. Unable to find seating in cafeteria (do I mean canteen). Food, ...
My wife and I had sailed with MSC to the Carribean before and enjoyed the experience. That's why we chose to sail with MSC again. Unfortunately, this cruise was not up to our expectations. Our room was great and the maid was top notch. We could not have asked for better. While we had a great room at the stern of the ship with a balcony, the dining experience was not the greatest. our waiter at ...
In March this year [2014] my husband and I joined a fly, stay, cruise package on the MSC Fantasia which included return flights to Italy, overnight accommodation in Genoa, transfers and a 36 night cruise. We chose MSC because the tour itinerary sounded great even though we had already visited many of the ports. We upgraded to a category B2, [balcony cabin with guaranteed unobstructed views] which ...
We chose MSC because they were the only cruise line we could find sailing on the dates we needed.
The balcony cabin was very good but the bathroom tiny and smelt of mould.
None of us would chose MSC again. This was our 5th cruise. The ship was amazing on first impressions but you get lost and confused very easily and the crew are not very helpful, (there are exceptions of course). It almost ...
