Review for a World Cruise Cruise on MSC Poesia

Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again. First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...

Please never book MSC

If I could give no stars I would. I joined a world cruise with MSC and have had nothing but frustration and grievances. If you are a parent I highly suggest considering another cruise line. A child was assaulted by an adult passenger and when the parents filed a complaint after bringing him to the medical center, nothing was done but a warning. The baby pool on the cruise was under maintenance ...

Relocation cruise Med to Northern Europe

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Grandiosa

Having been a frequent MSC cruiser in South Africa we chose this relocation cruise as the best bang for our bucks. Originally booked in 2019 we were yet another casualty of Covid with our cruise being cancelled repeatedly from 2020/21 and into 2022. At last we were allowed to cruise but under Covid restrictions and with PCR testing together with our vaccination certifications being required. I ...

First Time on MSC...Not sure I'll do it again

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We chose this cruise for the ports and to try a new line. MSC has the status match program which also helped. This cruise was from Genoa, Italy to Kiel, Germany with stops at Marseille, Barcelona, Cadiz, Lisbon, Vigo, and Southampton. Embarkation: This was a disaster. I am not sure if Genoa was not equipped to handle this many passengers, or if they were just not prepared to turn over the ...

A disappointing experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Orchestra

We have travelled with most cruise lines and expected a mid-range experience with rather good food given that MSC is an Italian company. It turned out that the most disappointing aspect was food and beverage. BREAKFAST Breakfast can be taken i their cafeteria or in the restaurant Villa Borghese. We visited the cafeteria numerous times but never managed to get a table. In Villa Borghese you ...

Not as bad as the reviews but could be better

I read horrible reviews prior to my trip, but I still signed on because the ports were enticing and the price was right. To begin, getting any sort of help online prior to travel was impossible. No one responded to emails or chat requests. Luckily some members of our group were able to take the time to call the MSC help desk. I prefer to do everything online and MSC is not set up to handle ...

Very disappointing

The pick-up from the airport and boarding the ship, went very well. The facilities at the ship is very good, but that is probably all at the positive list. The service in the 2 receptions, were non existing. There were a huge lack of general knowledge and understanding of English language. If we asked about general information about the arriving ports, the answer was pretty much, take a taxi ...

MSC Poesia We are on the MSC Poesia, 4 back to back cruises 1 -10 day, 2-11 day and one 3 day. This review will be on the ship, more later on each cruise. I chose MSC because it had the itinerary I wanted. It was also about $80-$100. a day cheaper per person than other cruise lines. When some complain that they are nickel and dimed to death I thought it would take a lot of nickels and dimes ...
